Mission: A new day dawns

Day: 2

Stardate: 2446.01.29



(Mars Facilities - 1st Fighter Wing of Mars Runway - ACFO Lt(jg) Trinity
Frost - 0701)



Trinity sat on the fence at the end of the runway, watching the jets take
off, recognising some of them that she had either worked on or flown.



"Trinity, you're up early." He said as he walked up to former Fighter Wing
Search and Rescue Squad leader Trinity Frost.



“Hey Trip.” She said, figuring that he’d started informally by using her
name, and at this time, and in this place dispensing of rank would be
allowable. “Couldn’t sleep.”



"Are you taking in the old sights? Hard to believe that we've been gone
from Mars for five months now, so much has happened."



She nodded. “It’s weird, seems like both only yesterday and an age ago.”
She sighed. “I’m sorry about Ravok. I know you guys were close. It’s hit us
all hard, especially after the whole business with…Well.” She sighed.

“Honestly? Not great. Every time I close my eyes I remember what I did
while I was under her influence. I have my faults, hell many many of them,
but I’m a good person. We’ve all killed before, Wolf 359 was no picnic, but
that was largely in self defense and part of a mission to prevent greater
attrocity. What I did back on the Exeter…”
