"ENOUGH!” Vice Admiral Williams yelled loud enough to ring throughout the field. He even out yelled the Led Zeppelin music, which impressed Heinrich in the moment. At the Vice Admiral’s command the fracas ceased, and officers began to close in. He figured now was the right time to walk on the diamond and tend to the wounded.
The first person he approached was laying on the ground near second third base. He was a young cadet. As the years went on cadets seemed younger and younger to Heinrich. The kid looked like a middle schooler to him. He knelt down next to the kid and started scanning him with his tricorder.
“What’s your name, cadet?” He asked.
“Braeden.”
“How are you feeling? Any broken bones?”
“None, sir. Just a little woozy.”
“How many fingers am I holding up?” He asked, holding up three.
“… six?”
The scan was completed. “I’m going to need you to stay still. Looks like you took a real hit to the noggin.” The boy laid back down on his back. Officers approached the both of them and Heinrich assumed they had come to receive the boy and take him to a medical facility. So he moved on.
The next person he spotted happened to be Ensign Jori, the pitcher who threw the fated ball. She was still standing, but her shirt was torn, her legs were dirty, and she was bleeding from the cheek.
“Hey Ensign! Jori!” He shouted as he approached. “Are you ok?”

“Nothing broken?”
(Reply Jori)
“Let me take a look.” Coming nearer he saw her left eye was beginning to swell. He could tell it was going to become a real shiner. He took out his tricorder and ran some basic tests.
“How many fingers am I holding up?” He asked, holding up three.
(Reply Jori)
