(USS Exeter - Ready Room - 2O/CEO, Lt. Cmdr. Keira Merek - 1409)

"Hell if I know," Trip said with a smile. "Haven't seen it yet. Once we got
the all clear to leave the ship, I have been staying at the house on Mars.
Kinda miss it. I mean I got it thinking Ash and I would be on Mars for a
long time, boy was I wrong."

Keira gave a small smile at the unpredictability of it all, but it quickly
faded. "It's going to be your family's home for a great deal of time. I'll
stop by today and check on the dock crews to see how it's coming along.
Keep them on task." It felt good being of help again, instead of wallowing
in her quarters most of the time.

"The hard part will be replicating Ronnie's room as she supposedly
remembers. How do you make a room based on the specifications of a two year
old from memories that are actually 21 years old and from another
timeline." Trip admitted.

"Well if genetics has anything to do with it all the pieces are there. You
know what's best for your daughter, alternate reality or not. I'll make
sure the crews put in carpet and walls that can change color based on your
daughter's whims. It's what we had in Rayna's room." Keira offered.

"What about you? I know you don't want to talk about it, but we can give
you new quarters, one without his scent."

"Kind of you to offer, but that would be too much like giving up." Keira
said. "Besides, it's nothing the bio scrubbers can't handle, I'll have it
run two cycles. I was thinking of taking a sojourn down to Earth, see my
mother's homeland, have you ever been to Iceland?"

"I myself never got the chance, left for Mars so quickly after getting
orders. During the academy I was always too busy. Maybe now is a good
chance to connect to my human heritage?"
