Mission: A new day dawns
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.01.28

USS Exeter - Ready Room - Conus Lt. Victoria Corsica - 1303)

Every day brought something new. One day they were in the Andromeda galaxy,
and now they are back home in the Milky Way hovering above earth. The
mutiny , the empress had left a profound change in the atmosphere of the
Exeter's crew. Ever since they returned her records on the mental health of
the crew were called into question and were placed under review. It was a
stressful time, but at least at the end of the day she was able to console
herself by contacting her parents.

But as orders were, everyone still had to report for duty and this was her
day, and Captain Williams called her to his office. As the door to the
Captain's ready room opened she entered unsure what she was walking into.

"Victoria, good to see you," Trip said as Corsica entered his office.

She snapped to attention as she came before his desk. "Good to see you,
sir."

"Anyways, I'm gonna cut to the point. Starfleet has informed me that they
are going to try and give us a bit of a break, and get us back on
Diplomatic missions, exploration and the like, at least for a bit."

"I think that might be best for the crew, those that are battle tested and
those that are coming in fresh and new," She responded.

"With that in mind, I'm changing your position from Head Counselor to Chief
Diplomatic Officer. You'll have an office near the first officer's office.
We're getting it all cleaned up for you. You won't have counseling duties,
but you will help with making contact with diplomatic staff and the like."

She sighed, in fact she knew this was a possible outcome. With all the
recent trauma Starfleet probably wanted a fresh start in counseling, with
someone who would be able to keep more of a professional distance. "I
understand sir, I will have my office cleared and moved before the end of
the day.

"Anyways, how have you readjusted to earth?"

"Besides the academy, I haven't seen much of Earth, I'm afraid to say it's
all pretty new to me."

"How about you, how have you been?"
