EXETERRPG: (1-1709) SOPS Lieutenant Commander Tyrek Na'Rel

(USS Exeter - Ready Room - SOPS Lieutenant Commander Tyrek Na'Rel-1709)


"Right, you will also serve as Third Officer, so during your time here you
will be a member of my command staff."  Captain Williams informed him,

" I look forward to serving you in that capacity, Captain Williams. " Tyrek
responded sincerely thankful.

"I believe you are also bringing a new vessel aboard. A collaboration
between your faction of Romulans and the Federation, what was it called the
Charon or something like that?"

~ Faction ? Does He fail to realize us as a legitimate government? Is he
unaware? Nevermind he's a busy man, married and Commanding a starship. He
has far too much on him to care about labels..~ Tyrek thought to himself.
It bothered him slightly, but he moved past it.

" Yes Sir. It's the Cheron class of ships. Named to commemorate the battle
of Cheron where countless brave men and women gave their lives in the line
of duty." Tyrek clasped his hands together.

"So what exactly is it?" Trip asked, unsure, but sensing that Tyrek was
really eager to talk about it.

Tyrek pulled a small device out of his pocket, laying it on the captain's
desk. He looked round " One moment Sir." He said holding up his finger.

" Computer, lower lights 20 percent" Tyrek said and the ready room became
slightly darker.

Tyrek then tapped the small device that he laid on the captain's desk and
it produced a small rotating, holographic image of the cheron Class ship.

" Allow me to introduce the Cheron class starship...The Cheron Class is a
new prototype design from Starfleet and the Romulan Republic fleet force.
It blends the latest in Starfleet and Romulan technology. Planning  of the
Cheron class started on Stardate 2445.01.12 at the 40 Eridani A Starfleet
Construction Yards in the Vulcan system with manufacturing starting on
stardate 2445.02.01 at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. Top engineers from
Starfleet and the Romulan Republic came together with Vulcan mediators to
design the concept vessel. In no time at all the first of the prototype
vessels was made. Using designs based on an earlier concept shuttle design
that Starfleet had originally conceived. Using a Starfleet design as it's
base,  the Adaptive technology of the Romulan Republic was used to infuse
the vessel with their technology." Tyrek pedal are ima shifted to animation
of the vessel cloaking.



" As you can see Captain The Cheron class vessel is equipped with Type DK88
cloaking technology. This type of cloaking technology is built into the
vessel itself,  while there is a core that powers the cloaking ability ,
there isn't an actual cloaking device. This approach allows for a more
stable cloaking ability and allows for shields and weapons to remain online
and functional if need be.

The intended use of the Cheron class is for protecting starfleet science
operations on and around Romulan Colony worlds and to also strengthen the
Mars Defense Perimeter, though it can be suited to serve other needs as
well." Tyrek added and the image turned into an interior view of the ship.

" The Cheron class uses the LCARS user interface for all its systems, but
uses the adaptive self repair technology of the Romulans to enhance command
functions and engineering recalibrations. The blending of technologies is
described by many as seamless. Allowing for easy use by both Romulan and
Starfleet officers alike. Furthermore ,The Cheron class is capable of warp
speeds of warp 9.995 for up to 30 hours before having to reduce warp speeds
down to 7.5 or lower so the warp core can regain its full power. " The
image once again shifted to a display of the weapons systems.

" The weapons of the Cheron class are 4 interchangeable, type 19 disruptor
arrays with two fore facing disruptor cannons and a fore and aft torpedo
adaptive launcher capable of firing both Starfleet and Romulan torpedo
types. The maneuverability of the Cheron class in a combat scenario has, in
simulations,  displayed considerable advancements over such vessels as the
Valkyrie type V and the Gryphon type III and type III-2 models. Using an
intense magnetized tractor beam to lock on to an enemies hull and line up
targeting vectors for an optimal shot. " Tyrek paused and looked at the
Captain.

" Here's the best part…"

" The most impressive tactical aspect of its combat capabilities is the
newly conceived

energy repulse shield or E.R.S..

This ability can allow the shields to temporarily absorb energy particles
from enemy attacks that did not penetrate the shields and deflect them back
to an enemies vessel. This trick could prove very useful in an intense
combat scenario."

He closed the holographic display.

" Computer ,return lights to the previous setting."

As the lights returned to normal, he looked at Captain Williams "The length
is 32 meters the width is 13 meters

Crew complement is 2 to 6. Personnel capacity is rated at 12 and most
importantly Emergency capacity is listed as 40 if my memory serves me
right. I'm certain I remembered everything …" Tyrek said with a smile as he
concluded his rant.
