"I'm holding up, sir. I still partially blame myself for not discerning
Lieutenant Commander Shara's condition. I spoke with him in sickbay and I
thought he was going to be all right." She paused, biting her lower lip. "I
wish I could have stopped him from attacking you."

"You and me both." Trip said with a laugh. "The thing is, you can't blame
yourself. You knew him for what, three days, tops. I knew him for over a
year. Served with him, fought alongside him. We rebuilt the fighter wing on
mars together. Even I didn't think he was capable of murder and attempted
murder."

"Well other than that incident, how are you settling in? Have you made any
friends on the Exeter?"
