Stardate: 2445:09:16
(Shuttle Michelangelo, Cockpit – 2O/CEO – Lieutenant Keira Merek – 1234)
The decent was much more rapid than their ascent. While the shuttle was certainly capable of going faster, much faster, Keira didn’t want to push the occupants any more than was necessary. She had even pushed auxiliary power to inertial dampers to ensure a smoother ride. She picked up the Broken Bow runabout on sensors, it appeared that Ire was returning from his mission as well.
~He hadn’t towed the whole escape pod back, maybe he got everything he needed.~
Finally in range, Keira opened a channel.
“Exeter shuttle bay control, this is Shuttle Michelangelo on final approach with wounded on board. Requesting berthing in the shuttle bay.”
=^= Shuttle Michelangelo, you’re cleared for berth one. Medical teams are standing by to receive your casualties. =^=
“Confirmed. On approach vector, Michelangelo out.” Keira reported then closed the channel.
The whole docking procedure Keira could nearly accomplish in her sleep. It was fortunate because, she felt numb, and by the time she landed she didn’t remember precisely how she got there. The shuttle touching down in the berthing brought her out of whatever state she was in and she put the engines in a shutdown sequence and opened the aft gangway for the waiting medical teams.
(Reply any in Shuttle, room for more)
(USS Exeter – Bridge – 2O/CEO – Lieutenant Keira Merek – 1250)
Keira walked onto the bridge, plotting the most direct circumnavigational course to where Trip was.
(Reply Trip)
“Lieutenant Merek reporting in. Shuttle is put to bed, everyone we put down on that planet is accounted for.” Keira reported.
(Reply Trip, room for questions)

“The only way to defeat fear is to tell it 'No'." No - we will not take shortcuts on the path to righteousness. No - we will not break the rules that protect us from our basest instincts. No - we will not allow desperation to destroy moral authority.” - Michael Burnham, Star Trek: Discovery
“No, I’m from Iowa, I only work in outer space.” – Adm. James T. Kirk, “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home”
