(Gamma Quadrant Planet – Power Supply Structure Exterior –Engineer –Ensign – Galu Vosi – 1147)

“I have cleared the high ground two targets down.”

He moved further forward making use of the cover.

=^=It looks like we have one group left. To the twelve, same directionas the opening, but they have the high ground, do you see them?=^=

He looked over a small bank and saw the group of enemies that Merek wastalking about.

“Yes Lieutenant. I see them”

=^=I don’t have such a good line of sight to them, but I see the coverthey’ve been using clearly. I will heat their cover which after a few secondswill heat it enough they will vacate it. You take that opportunity to stun themand we’ll be done=^=

“Yes Lieutenant.” 

=^=They’re fanatic but not the kind that they’d burn themselves to provea point. They’ll fall back or advance to different cover, when they move thatwill be your opportunity, Ready=^=

“Ready.”

He glanced over the lip to see Merek`s phaser beam hit the rock facethat the enemy was hiding behind as it turned a deep red and steam rose fromit. There was a cry of alarm as two people leaped from behind cover and ranacross open space to get to move cover. Galu aimed his phaser carefully andshot them both in mid stride. They collapsed onto the ground and did not move.Galu waited for a moment to make sure that they were down and not pretending.Once he was happy he tapped his comm badge.

 “Lieutenant we are clear.”

=^=Good to hear it. Head on back. We’ll stand watch here until they’redone in there. Merek out=^= 

He took one last glance and then scurried back down the trench towardswhere Merek was positioned.
