(USS Exeter - Bridge – CSO Lt JG Erin Cortez – 0815)

 

Erin sighed as the sight of the Bird of Prey exploding filled the viewscreen. Knowing their crew was safe was something but the thought of those aboard the klingon vessel that they hadn’t been able to save filled her mind.

 

Even though they had kidnapped the crew of the Exeter, there had been hope that they would be able to take them on board and offer them a chance. Now, they had none. The fifteen that they had managed to rescue was something.

 

Looking down at her console as they continued towards where Ailynn was, Erin’s brow furrowed. ~What the hell is that?~ she thought to herself. The data coming from the sensors was a little confusing but she knew enough to know that it wasn’t good.

 

“Sir?”

“Not to be the one to state the obvious but we have a problem.”

“I’m reading several energy build ups around the location where Lieutenant Bracken is.”

“I’m…. well, sir, i don’t know. It’s like nothing i have ever seen before. All i can say is we need to get there and fast because something is building up down there and it can’t be good.”
