Mission: Murder on the Exeter Express
Day: 2
Stardate: 2445.12.02
(USS Exeter - Deck 9 Nine and Dine -COO Ensign (sg) Paul Sleeford - 09:30)
Walking out, rag over her arm, she put a smile on her face and said, “Good
morning, Ensign. Sorry about the state of the establishment at the moment.”
Looking round Sleeford smile at the mess, there where replicator panels on
the floor and it looked like a squad of marines had gone through.
"Hi, open for a sandwich?"
“I can probably manage a bacon roll if that would do?”
Nodding Sleeford half smiled, "That sound fantastic, nice and crispy, no
green stuff."
“Of course.” Turning to head back into the kitchen, Caity stopped for a
moment and then turned back,
“Ensign Sleeford isn’t it?”
"Yes, thats right, Paul Sleeford Cheif of Operations at the moment..Well I
should be but I think I've been relieved of duty today"
“It seems we are part of a very select group you and i.”
Looking up into her face Sleeford saw the worry and the stress, "What group
is that?"
“Well, there are five of us. Five that have been either questioned or near
enough accused of murder.”
Laughing Sleeford shook his head, "In the case of some of the crew it's not
near accused, it a given fact that we killed Tyko and if the rumour mill is
right we all did it at separate timed, with in the timeframe of his death
and none of us saw the others......"
Pauusing Sleeford stopped as he realise he was about to go into a full
blown speech. "Lets just saw that its been a stressful few hours and its
going to get worse as the day goes on."
As he waited for his roll Sleeford closed his eyes, the quite in the diner
was having a settling effect, the thing that been plaguing his mind for the
past hours was just in reach, if only he could grab at it. Placing his
elbows on the counter he crossed his fingers and rested his chin on his
hands, his thumbs under his chin. Staring at the wall opposite he let his
mind go blank and the thought's to go where they went. Hearing the plate
land he looked up and smiled.
"Thanks" Picking up the roll he took a bite and allowed the bacon grease
and oil to trickle down his chin, sighing he closed his eyes and savoured
the taste. letting out a contented sigh he slowly finished the roll. Wiping
is hands on the serviette, he slide off the stool, smiling and nodding his
thanks.
"I've just had the most stupidest idea. One that will no doubt have me
cleaning the nacelles for the rest of my short career, you said there where
five of us questioned, why don't we get together over drinks, most of the
crew think we're all guilty so stuff them."

Nodding Sleeford walked out of Nine and dine, pausing for a second or two
headed up to his quarters, with nothing else to do he could catch up on
some reading and some dreaded paperwork.

Sitting on the floor cross legged a book in his lap, Sleeford had lost all
concept of the time, he'd been so absorbed when the call came from the
first officer he looked up startled.
“Bracken to CFO Williams, Lieutenant Cortez , Ensigns Sleeford and More,
and Civilian DuBois; report to Counsellor Jack Roberts as soon as possible.
Check his calendar and request an appointment at your earliest convenience.
Bracken out.”
Acknowledging the message, Sleeford stood and walked over to the terminal
that sat on the corer of the small desk, finding a blank appointment for
13:45 he notified the counsellor that as per the FOs instructions he would
be paying a visit. Wondering why the need to see a shrink.
Picking up the book he placed a marker in the page, closed it and placed it
on the table. Leaving his room he walked tot he turbo lift smiling as
members of the crew darted out of his way or turned and went in the
opposite direction, laughing out loud as tow female medics got in a tangle
as the both tried turning in the same space. Shaking his head as the doors
closed he rode down to deck seven and the medical centre, walking past
sickbay he walked into the outer office of the counsellor, seeing the
alarmed look from the yoman he shook his head.

Pressing the door chime he waited.

Walking in Sleeford stood in front of the desk and nodded,
