Mission: Murder on the Exeter Express
Day: 2
Stardate: 2445.12.02

( USS Exeter - Deck 8- CTO office - Tac/Sec Ens.(sg) Stan More - 10:45)

Stan did not agree with Ravok’s reaction. He felt the opposite to him. But his respect for the Lieutenant and his position. Stopped Stan from saying this out loud.

“ I am sorry you see it that way sir.” Stan said

" Ensign More, the investigation still continues. There are things you aren't aware of that are coming to light. I am not arresting you. I refuse to arrest someone who just feels like they need to prove a point or because they are concerned about the meaningless opinions of their peers. You're a good man Stan, but you literally just threw yourself on a sword for no reason. " Ravok said as he covered his face with his hands and took a deep breath. The stress was getting to him.

A slight feeling of guilt crossed Stan. It was clear he caused his friend more stress. But in the Scotsman mind. This was the only way.

“ Are you alright sir?” Stan said concerned

" Ensign your off duty as of now. You were worried about people suspecting you before. Now people are gonna be even more sure that you're the one. Thus causing them to lower their awareness and their guard. Making it easier for something bad to happen again because now everyone will become complacent. What we need is fear , real fear of a possible killer on the loose , real fear motivates people, drives them. But now they think the case is closed and even worse people are going to assume that I have taken it easy on you by not throwing you in the brig."

Stan did not agree with this. He felt it would have the opposite reaction. At the moment there was an air of tension. Security was split into two. Those he felt he was guilty as hell and those who did not. Now they would gel together again. Until someone was carted of to prison. No one would be considering it case closed.

“ You must do what you think is best sir.” Stan said

" I will admit your tactic of turning yourself sounds very Romulan of you, but take it from a Romulan… If you want to play the game of tactics you must think 10 steps ahead of yourself at all times. " Ravok said. He pulled a device from his desk.
" Wear this at all times. It will track your movements by a system that functions independently of the ship's main computer. I will receive moment to moment updates of your movements. Take it off and I will
personally drag you to the brig myself. " Ravok said as he handed the Ensign More the wrist band.

“ I understand sir. Don’t worry until I am proven innocent this will stay on.” Stan assured him.

" You aren't confined to quarters, but I am watching you carefully….dismissed."

“ Thank you. Take care.” Nodding Stan left the office.
