Starbase Freedom

Starbase Freedom is a key asset of the 52nd Fleet, operating during a time of internal crisis within the Federation. As one of the primary fleet assets, Starbase Freedom plays a crucial role in the large-scale overplot centered on the Federation civil war.

In 2446, Starbase Freedom has been actively engaged in diplomatic operations and hosting important missions. In September (stardate 2446.09.18), the base experiences significant transitions as it continues to serve as a key diplomatic and operational hub. The base also hosts the "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" mission (stardate 2446.09.19), demonstrating its role as a meeting place for Federation members and allies. These missions showcase the base's importance in facilitating diplomatic relations and supporting fleet operations throughout the Alpha and Beta Quadrants.

Starbase Freedom is the first new starbase to be constructed by the Federation since the contraction. She is an unique base being constructed from several different species including Trill, Andor and Federation. The base was built in the orbit of Trill to serve as a new place where the past and present members of the Federation could meet to discuss the future in peace.

Trill is the first Federation member who left, returned to the membership and we hope not the last.
