HADESRPG: ( 1 - 1817) Dr. Mark Edwards, Captain Casian Dahr & Captain Keira Merek
From: docholladay2021 at gmail.com (Todd Holladay)
Date: Wed, 1 Oct 2025 13:04:52 -0500

Mission: Sequestered
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.09.03

(Starbase Freedom - Level 11 - Medical Plaza - Emergency Department - Dr.
Mark Edwards, Captain Casian Dahr and Captain Keira Merek- 1817)

When Dahr and Merek appeared in the Emergency Department Mark Edwards and
two nurses went in to action. They got the Hades CO on the booked and the
three dimensional holographic image of her body appeared. The area around
her elbow quickly highlighted in a light red glow.

Mark looked at the readings and stepped back in near horror. “Sweet mother
of…”

He looked at Nurse M’ret and nodded, a prearranged signal. The Caitian
tapped Merek with a hypospay and began to purr nearly imperceptibly. The
purr was to help the patient stay calm and relieve some of the pain until
the analgesic took effect.

Mark looked at Dahr, “What happened to her Casian?”

“Let’s just call it overzealous sparring and leave it at that,” Dahr
replied ignoring the familiarity. Mark’s relationship with Casian’s wife
gave him a little latitude.

“Well,” Edwards said, “overzealousness has given Captain Merek a severely
dislocated elbow, several torn ligaments, not to mention the micro
fractures in the heads of her humerus and ulna.” He looked at Merek and
said, “Hope you weren’t planning on using that arm for a while.”

“Oh, yeah…” Merek breathed dripping with sarcasm,, “..don’t you know? Got
a tennis match at twenty-hundred..”

“You should probably consider canceling,” Edwards replied, matching her
sarcasm. “Or consider playing left handed. Even after the repair your going
to have to take it easy for a while.”

“Yeah, I gathered…” she said as the medication began to take hold. “You
know, last time I broke my arm it was a Caitian doctor that patched me up
then too…”

M’ret smiled a toothy grin, “We commme in handy, perrriodically.” She
touched the back of her furry hand to Mereks cheek, soothingly. “How ya
feelinnng dearrr?”

“Less stabbing and shooting, more throbbing and pressure.” Keira said
finally being able to breath without aggravating her arm.

“Now that you're numb, Captain Merek,” Dahr chimed in, “you can tell a
great deal about a person during a fight. And how they handle defeat. You
were in an inescapable position, why would you not simply concede?”

“Don’t like to lose.” Keira said, “don’t like giving up either.”

Dahr raised an eyebrow, “There’s losing to a stronger opponent and there’s
giving in to your fears. Getting injured, as you did, during a training
exercise, to me anyway, doesn’t seem worth it. Save that mindset for when
the fight has meaning.”

“ I’m stubborn.” She managed to smile. “Call it a character flaw?”

“I suppose so,” Dahr didn’t argue that point. “We all have ‘em.”

“So, how’s it look?”

Dahr shrugged, “During the war I once saw a tactical display explode taking
half the arm of the tactical officer stationed there. I’d say you look
better than that.”

“Excuse me Captains,” Edwards cut between the two of them, “but some of us
actually work here.”

He’d brought a piece of equipment over the looked like a drill press, and
placed it over the elbow joint. Then he turned his face to look at Merek.

“This is heal the micro fractures in the bones first,” the doctor
explained, switching it on. A red beam emitted from the device into the
joint of the Amiral. “It shouldn’t take long. Then we’ll need to look at
reattaching those torn tendons.”

Then he looked at Dahr, “We’ll be at this a while, Casian. I’ll let you
know when we’re done and you can continue the verbal beating then.”

Dahr chuckled, “Ok Mark, I’ll leave you to it.” He put a hand on Merek’s
good shoulder and said, “I’ll come back to see you later.”

“Thank you.” Keira said, and then added, “ Can you call Kellis for me? Let
her know. We took a room on the station, she’ll be worried when I don’t
return immediately from my workout.”

Casian recalled that Ako Kellis was a Bajoran civilian on board the Hades.
Kiera had mentioned her at the dinner he had hosted for the Hades senior
staff.

“Absolutely,” Casian said. “She might be even more irritated with you than
I am. Thod Vol has been bugging me for an introduction. Apparently he’s a
fan.”

Finally, he put a supportive hand on the captain’s shoulder and smiled.
“I’ll try to break the news to her gently.”

Keira only nodded as Dahr left sickbay and the doctor continued their work.

HADESRPG: (1 1818) starfleet Intelligence Officer Master Chief Petty Officer Rebecca Faust
From: masamimbi at yahoo.co.uk (Robbie Gray)
Date: Mon, 13 Oct 2025 10:30:18 +0000 (UTC)

Mission: Sequestered
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.09.03

(Starbase Freedom - Level 23 – Cargo bay - Starfleet Intelligence Officer - MasterChief Petty Officer - Rebecca Faust - 1818)

Rebecca watched as the starship moved closer to the dockingcollar as it moved on its final approach. It was one of the more flamboyant shipsthat she had seen in a long time. She had seen many strange and alien ships inher carrier but knowing that this was an actual human design was made it evenmore bezzar. She knew that it was based on the Monaveen-type class of cruiserthat have been used by the Hysperians. From what she understood her majesty’sship Indestructible of the Royal Kraken Navy still had the ostentatiousness ofthe original Monaveen class but where the Hysperians culture was based aroundconcepts of earth renaissance period the Krakens and their royal navy was morebased on earth’s age of sail. From what she had read of the file she had beengiven on her way down the Krakens navy werequite formal and preferred a more practical approach when they could which waswhy she was down here and not in a transporter room. She saw the ship stabilizedits drift with the station and the docking collar extend and connect.

She had been ordered to be here and speak to the seniorofficer that appeared. She saw a figure walk down the docking collar and stoppedat the threshold of the opened hatch. He looked resplendent in his uniform althoughshe did think he looked like someone who had stepped out of a historicalholodram with hat.

“Good evening, ma’am. I am First Lieutenant Jarvis of Her Magesty’sShip Indestructible. Permission to come abord.”

“Of course, First Lieutenant.”

He moved across the threshold of the hatch and stepped ontothe station. He walked up to her and took off his hat and placed it in the crookof his arm.

“I am Starfleet Intelligence Officer Faust. I believe thatyou have some pirates for us?”

He nodded and turned back to the hatch where a woman in the sameuniform had appeared.

“Midshipwoman Cochrane inform the Lieutenant of marines whatshe can bring the prisoners across.”

She hid a smile as the Midshipwoman almost disappeared as shevanished down the docking collar. She saw a flicker of a smile ghost across Jarvis’sface before his formal side reinserted itself. There was movement down thedocking collar and she saw the first of the prisoners who were wearing magneticmaniacals on their feet and hands.

Faust indicated to the security personal who had beenstanding off to one side who now stepped forward to take possession of theprisoners.

“They have been treated as per federation and Kraken law. MidshipwomanCochrane” The young Midshipwoman separated herself from an armed officer andstepped smartly across to Jarvis. She came to attention.

“Midshipwoman Cochrane the data pads please.”

He took the offered pads and turned back to Faust.

“With the compliments of my Queen here are the 30 pirates whohave been caught attacking shipping in and around Kraken space along with allthe corroborating data. As per our treat with the Federation. People whoidentify as Federation members or citizens will be returned to be prosecutedwith the full extent of your laws.”

She nodded back as she took the first pad.

“On behalf of the Federation we accept these pirates and the informationthat you have obtained about their activities.”

“Midshipwoman Cochrane it looks like our work here his done. You and then Lieutenant of marines can head back to the ship.

“Yes sir.”

As the sailors began to depart back to their ship, Jarvistook the second pad and passed it over.

“On behalf of my Captain I was asked to give you this specificallyMa’am.”

She frowned as she took the offered Pad.

“Do you know what’s on it?”

He shook his head. “No ma’am. From what my Captain told methis has been passed on to her and she though that the information would bebetter passed on to Starfleet Intelligence.”

“Thank you.”

He gave a polite nod. “I better get back to my ship Ma’am. Enjoythe rest of your evening.” He glanced at the group of pirates and security officerwho were now moving their new prisoners toward the door in the far corner.

“Hope its not a long one.”
She followed his look and shook her head.

“Not my department.”

He nodded put his hat back into his head and headed for thedocking collar. She stood there for a moment watching the docking collar detachand the ship begin to drift away. She looked at the pad in her hand.

“Let’s see what you have here.”

She turned and headed for the turbolift think that this mightbe the beginning of a long evening.

HADESRPG: (1 - 1835, 1850) Ako Kellis, Captain Casian Dahr, Major Sean Masters & V.Adm. T'Larah Sullivan
From: docholladay2021 at gmail.com (Todd Holladay)
Date: Wed, 8 Oct 2025 00:25:32 -0500

Mission: Sequestered
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.09.03

(Starbase Freedom - Guest Quarters - Ako Kellis & Station CO, Captain Dahr
- 1835)

Sometimes workouts ran long she kept telling herself. It’s only been five
minutes. Playful laughter and a high pitched squeak issued from the other
bed room, Rayna and Venus were playing.

~It’s nothing.~ She kept telling herself as she got the shower ready,
smell-good soap, wash cloth and body towel folded on the lip of the tub,
ready for when Keira walked through the door.

=^=Captain Dahr to Ako Kellis.=^=

“This is Kellis, what can I do for you, Captain?” the Bajoran swallowed
hard.

=^=Ms. Ako, I just left Captain Merek in our medical center and she wanted
me to let you know where she was.=^=. Casian could hear the draw of her
breath. =^=She is alright, although she managed to get herself injured
while sparring… an opponent.=^=

“Oh, my..” her thoughts were swimming in a mire of worry and guilt she
wasn’t quite sure she’d earned. ~Focus. If you’re to be a Captain’s wife
someday she’ll need your strength.~ She chastised herself before
continuing, “are there visiting hours?”

Casian was impressed how composed she sounded. He knew how Roxanne would
have been. Wanted to break his other arm.

=^=For the moment Keira in surgery having her arm repaired, but I’m certain
she’ll be done soon. Then it’s up to Doctor Edwards when you can visit.
But if you have trouble with him just let me know. I’m pretty sure I can
help out.=^=

“Thank you so much. I should be heading toward the infirmary soon, Kellis
out,” she said before closing the line.

There was a lot to prepare before she left their guest quarters. “Computer,
activate nanny hologram.”

(Starbase Freedom - Level 11 - Medical Plaza - Emergency Department -
Captain Keira Merek, Ako Kellis, Major Sean Masters, V.Adm. T’Larah
Sullivan - 1850)

Her short legs scurried into the medical facility on station. She swiped a
hot tear off of her cheek while moving a lock of brown hair away from her
face.
She saw a well muscled man in what seemed like house clothes and a hastily
donned jacket that somehow looked familiar. The curiosity of where she’d
thought she’d seen him before was enough to temporarily keep her mind off
of why she was actually here. Accompanying him in the waiting area was a
woman, Vulcanoid wearing what looked like a black short robe with writing
on it that she was not familiar with. Kellis stood there fidgeting waiting
to be addressed. Since the other pair that seemed oddly familiar but not
intimate had arrived slightly before her, she dropped back into an
impromptu queue.

“Oh, we seem to have a few patients showing up.” the receptionist chirped.
She started questions to feed to the Triage Officer. She saw some bruising
and swelling on the female Vulcan’s left cheek, she was accompanied by a
larger man who seemed in not a good mood. She frowned and started making
notes on her PADD. Turning to the Vulcan, concern in her voice, “Ma’am,
can you accompany me so we can talk in private?”

Due to her years in security, T’Larah immediately picked up on what the
receptionist was attempting to do. “No worries, this is not a domestic
assault, despite what it appears to be.”

The receptionist’s surprise was noticeable, she had to switch gears, it
caught her off guard. “I…errr then how?”

“Sparring match. Elbow strike to the face.” T’Larah said plainly, just
facts.

Kellis caught that.~Sparring match?~

“I’ll be sure to let the triage officer know…” the woman said.

“And you ma’am?” the Receptionist pointed toward the Bajoran woman.

“I’m an emergency contact. Captain Dahr contacted me.” Kellis said quietly,
desperately holding something in.

“Who?” The receptionist asked.

“Captain Dahr? He’s in charge of the station. Haven’t met him, sounds like
a nice man.” Kellis dodged.

The clerk chuckled nervously, “No, who are you here to see?”

“Merek is the name.”

“I’ll let them know in the back.” the clerk said, then turned to T’Larah, “
and the triage officer will be with you as soon as they’re available.”

The Admiral nodded, then her and Masters sat down.

“So…you said sparring match.” Kellis said calmly, while sitting down. “Got
a bunch of sparring matches happening on the station? Tournament going on?”

“No tournaments, as far as I knew it was the only sparring match.” T’Larah
answered quickly.

Sean’s eyebrow arced at the seemingly innocuous but oddly specific
questions that the lady asked, but said nothing.

“So, you’re the one who assaulted my girlfriend.” Kellis growled through
gritted teeth, hot liquid streaming down both sides of her face, red as a
Veddic’s robes. Suddenly she was standing less than a meter in front of the
Admiral and her son.

Sean now immediately recognized where he remembered her from, “Oh, shit.”

“HOW DARE YOU!” the small woman bellowed, in defiance of her size it filled
the room.

The receptionist’s eyes were the size of a pair of small moons while she
hit a panic button under her station.

(Reply Security or Medical)

T’Larah was dumbfounded by the sudden explosion of tenacity.

“So, you just SIT like a bump on a log while SHE’s getting surgery?” Kellis
was somehow getting angrier. Her fists were white-knuckled by her side.

"Ok What is the problem?" a woman said, walking in, carrying a phaser.

"You called security?" Ako said, looking at the receptionist in disbelief.

"Ma'am you look really angry..." the receptionist defended her actions, " I
don't know you, you could have done anything."

"Fair." Kellis said her hands releasing their white knuckle grip, her
shoulders dropped a bit as her tension dropped.

Sullivan stood. "Crewman, I'm Vice Admiral Sullivan, I thank you for your
diligence, but you can holster the phaser."

"We're all fine here now." She turned to Masters, "You're fine now, right
Major?"

"Cool as the flip side of the pillow, ma'am." Sean answered holding his
empty hands up.

"And you, Miss...?"

"Ako." Kellis answered the question, seeing the Admiral attempt to defuse
the situation.

"Miss Ako, you're okay now? Calm?" now both the Admiral's hands were up,
empty and non-threatening.

"Yes..." she said slowly. "I'm calmer."

"See we're all fine now." Sullivan said.

Mission: Homecoming
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.10.16

(Starbase Freedom: NAR 22193 MARAI: Kaplan F17 Speed Freighter in parking orbit- 1933)

Ryuji pushed a forward offensive with his long and short samauri swords. The silver steel of the blades glinting on the overhead light.

Tix bobbed and weaved and countered with the arm shields over and over stepping backward each time the photonic ninja advanced. But near the railing at the center of the ships upper level, Tix turned counter to the spin stepping closer and allowed the oval arm shields to absorb the impact of the blade slide forward to where he had been half a second ago and connected the arm shields to Ryuji’s face. The momentum and counter force of the shields kinetic energy threw the fighter back onto the ground d which the fighter nimble rolled with and ended up back onto his feet.

“Good,” Ryuji said, “Finally. You countered.”

“I’m starting to trust the arm shields more.”

Ryuji shook his head. “All those lives and you don’t like hand to hand combat.”

“I got high marks in all the trainings.”

“High marks in trainings don’t make you a fighter. Believe in something to drive your purpose in the fight.”

“I believe I don’t want to die”

“I can’t kill you in training mode,” Ryuji shook his head. “It’s taking away that edge from you. Believe in something.’

“Believe in what?” Toks asked confused.

“Believe in anything that makes you fight with that driven belief in your goal.”

“And you are announcing you move before the counter turn. Your nostrils flair,” Marai said.

Toks rolled his eyes.
“How is anyone….”

“Message from Commander Solice,” Marai interrupted. “Playing.”

=^= Sorry for the last minute, but I need you to attend a meeting in the conference room in 30 minutes.'”=^=

Toks smirked. “Respond in the affirmative. Marai prep the sonic shower and my black and gray suit, please.” The Takaran sprinted toward his quarters.

“Do not forget me this time!” Ryuji snapped.

“Download yourself! Thanks. And Marai when I’m dressed sits to the conference room.”

NRPG: Say hello to a returning veteran reboot player Rob Davis. He'll be
playing a Cardassian Engineer this time. Al and I are attempting to work
adding him to the mailers. Since Tony started working on the site in
earnest it seems the ability to add or subtract players is disabled. Until
it is resolved, I've been adding Rob's address so that he can see posts.
Please welcome Rob back, hopefully we'll get to add him formally soon.

RPG:
Mission: Sequestered
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.09.03

(USS Hades - Nine and Dine - CMO Lt. Dural Methor DrPH & Engineer Lt. JG
Emar -2004)

It was rather late. Dural usually had dined earlier than this, but he had
to stay a little later than usual cataloguing all the patient transfers,
finishing paperwork. Dotting all the I’s and crossing all the T’s. He
decided a meal out on the ship would be an experience that he would like to
start, on the eve before “shoving off”. As they were due to leave tomorrow
at 0800, doing so on the ship would be best.

The server brought his order a flight of Taspar Eggs, all lined up in a
frame. He brought it with the traditional rapping wand used to crack the
shell.

“Enjoy, Doctor!” the server said with a smile. Dural returned the gesture
and looked down at his meal.

Emar Derok, a male Cardassian who had just been assigned to the Hades for
just about 26 hours as a member of the engineering team who had transferred
from Starbase Freedom, walked into Nine and Dine. A rather interesting
name, Emar thought. He hadn't been there before and with nothing else to do
he decided to wander the ship.

One of the first things he noticed with ice grey eyes was another
Cardassian sitting at the bar and eating a meal. It had been almost 2 years
since Emar had seen another Cardassian with his own two eyes.
~ That must be the Doctor that Ensign Remy had mentioned early.~

Emar approached the bar and sat down a couple spots away from the other
Cardassian.
“ Good Evening Lieutenant.” Emar said as he sat. “ You don't think they'd
be able to make a decent Zabu Stew around here ?” Asked with a chuckle to
his voice, not being serious as Zabu Stew wasn't exactly something they
would serve on a starfleet vessel.

“Greetings,” Dural said with a smile. “The replicators don't quite do a
real Zabu justice.”

“ I suppose I'll get a cheeseburger and fries.” Emar said with a laugh and
typed his order on the interface on the bar's surface. Before him appeared
the requested meal, arriving via the bars built in replicator option.

“Sampling the local cuisine?” Dural asked while rapping on an eggshell
precisely cracking it with practiced ease.

“ I've gotten used to having more bland menu options since coming to earth
and joining starfleet. Although there is a bar on Trill that serves real
and authentic Kanar Red Blend, very refreshing.”

“Which establishment? It's been two years since I've stepped foot on Trill
Prime…” memories of the jaunt to Trill aboard the Mystique flooded back but
the Doctor dismissed them, “Where are my manners? I'm Dural, and you are?”

“Emar, Emar Derok. The place on Trill is called The Sa'Sani Bar. Owned and
operated by a rather round Bolian man who specializes in exotic imports of
authentic alcohols and trinkets.”

“Nice to meet you Emar.” Dural said with a smile. “I’ll have to check out
that establisment the next time we’re in the area.” He motioned to the
stool next to him, “ please sit.”

“ I mean this with absolutely no offense intended, but it is odd seeing
another Cardassian face in a starfleet uniform. I've heard there are only 9
of us in the whole of Starfleet.” Emar laughed and took a bite of his
burger.

“Nine?” Dural said with surprise. “I’m intrigued that there's more than
one. When I joined I was the first.”

“ Graduating Class of this year had five alone, I was one of 2 last year.
The others are Enlisted.” Emar explained. “ An Ensign told me earlier that
there was another Cardassian aboard, a Doctor.”

“I’m the CMO of this ship. Until I’m fired or they find someone better,”
Dural said with a smirk. “Which department are you gracing on our fine
vessel?”

“ Engineering, fixer of broken things and innovator of the future, or so
the Academy told us.” He laughed.

“Engineering.” Dural said, scooping out a bite of cooked egg, and
swallowed. “Your boss will be Lieutenant Alouron, can’t miss her.”

“ Ah yes, she was busy today so I didn't get a chance to meet with her,
I've heard she's quite the individual. My primary interest is the Captain
of course, she's an Engineer as well and from what I've read of her work
she's one hell of an engineer, hopefully she isn't the sort to stand over
someone's shoulder while they reconfigure the focus emitter housing on a
transporter pad.” Emar chuckled a bit.

“Ha, if one thing could be said of Captain Merek, she is not a micro
manager.” Dural explained, pointing the utensil for emphasis. “Worked with
her since we both left the Mars facility. If you show that you're competent
at your job, she'll give you the space to do it.”

“ That's a relief.” Emar said and took another bite of his burger and
chewed a bit. “ I have a Kotra board that was gifted to my grandfather by
Gul Kaltek, or something like that as an anniversary gift. It has been some
a while since I've enjoyed an honest match.” Emar said, extending the offer
for Dural to play.

“It's been so long.” Dural said, reminiscing about the gameboard the
orphanage matron had brought home one day. They knew she had salvaged it
from somewhere . Pieces were missing, they'd replaced those with pebbles
and then argue over exactly which pieces were replaced. “Last game I had
that was a challenge was in my days in the Cardassian military.”

“ I've taught several friends to play over the years, but there is nothing
like playing another Cardassian. No offense to others but it's easier to
play someone who has an almost innate sense of the concept.” Emar said with
a laugh. In truth Emar was excited to be serving on a ship with another
Cardassian. Emar had no issues with other races and found being around them
to be an enriching experience but sometimes it just felt good to be around
other Cardassians.

“I've gone back home a few times, since joining Starfleet, there is nothing
like spending time with one's people to get centered again.” Dural
admitted.

“ I know the feeling.” Emar himself was born and raised on Bajor around
fewer than 30 Cardassians at any given time.

“You may want to adjust your quarters somewhat. You know how dreadfully
cold and uncomfortable Starfleet standard environmental settings can be.
Makes me sluggish.”

“ I had the same issue on Freedom however the Tailor on board provided me
with a Thermoregulating undergarment called a Fazul that fits snuggly under
my uniform. If you have time I suggest you go see him, tell him I sent
you.” Emar suggested and took the last bite of his burger.

“I shall look into it when I have some free on duty hours.” Dural promised
taking another swallow of his meal.

“ Well it has been great talking with you Dural, im going to head to main
engineering and watch them cycle the plasma, something I've been told is
quite the sight.” Emar said.

“I hope you enjoy yourself and have a lovely evening.” Dural smiled.

“ Have a good evening.” Emar said and gently bowed his head to Dural as he
stood then walked away, but turned back. “ The Tailor's name is Jez by the
way.” He said with a snap of his fingers and walked off.

HADESRPG: (1-2146) Second Officer/ Chief Science Officer- Lieutenant Commander/ Tinmanrion Jayc and Lt Semaj

Mission: Sequedtered
Day: 1
Stardate:2446.09.03

(USS Hades- Deck one Bridge - CSciO/20, Lt. Commander. Tinmanrion Jayc-0913)

Lt. Commander Tinmanrion Jayc entered his quarters with a relieved sigh. Captain Merek hurt by the admiral, issues with the fighters and shuttle repair. Some repairs and updates the Hades were due with a standard docking. Science issues, operational considerations. That difficult engineer trying to get more access to double check systems she was not authorized to work on.

Kovich, his life science lead, had nearly been infected when the creature had nearly broken out of the containment stasis chamber. Jayc acted on his authority as chief science officer to place the creature in a perpetual transporter loop.

Some admiral in bio weaponry had insisted it be left alone until proper people were provided to act as couriers to a secure location.

After Kovich barely missed being harmed by the dangerous specimen, and enacting a forcefield. Security alarms had gone off.

Jayc transported it into the dematerialized state and let Lt. Dogan know what he’d done. Sickbay had cleared Kovich and Dogan had double checked everything to his satisfaction.

Now, though, as the quarters door slid shut, he was just Tin. A husband, a tired sentient was tired and his extra shift in the bridge had come to an end.

In the second bedroom, set up as a workspace for the two, he saw Semaj legs folded criss-cross infront of him, his meditative candle burning infront of him.

Tin smiled at his husband’s presence though he wouldn’t disturb him til his mediations were concluded. Instead he went into the main bedroom stripped naked, laid his con badge and foldable pads on his dresser and placed uniform in the replication unit where it was dematerialized and the rnrgy of its matter configured into the ships systems. He stepped into the sonic shower. And activated the controls to his favorite settings
Momentarily the frequencies sent waves heat and percussion that cleansed him and massaged into tired muscles. The air around him warbled as the dead skin, grime and previously used hygiene products vaporized. patterns of. Sound hit him from floor ceiling and four thin pylons that acted to leave him cleansed, refreshed and hopefully ready for sleep soon. He opened his mouth and the computer followed the program of cleansing and took care of his teeth, gums, and tongue.

When the cycle was complete he stretched and walked to the dresser and fretrieved the shorts he used to sleep in. Silky and black with the delta emblem on the left pant leg.

“Computer, hot chocolate with spiced rum synthetic shot please.” He said quietly. The replicator hummed to life.

“Dietary reminder for Jayc,” the computer responded at the same volume. “You are 650 calories under minimum requirements.”

.That explained the headache.
“Computer add the required nutritional needs into a small cup of ramen, my standard flavors.”

“Priority message for Jayc, Tinmanrion from the seat of the second house of Betazed.”
the replicator hummed again. He looked into the bowl bit really wanting food but took a breath and sipped it. Then he opened his mouth and tilted his head back. Three tilts later l he’d consumed the meal. He returned the cup to the replicator and pulled the hot chocolate out. He smelled it. Mmmm, humans greatest gift to Betazed.
“Computer send message to file marked messages from the past.”

Sleep sounded very good but his brain was pent up. This elixir would be the ticket to getting his thoughts to settle and his stress to lessen.

Breathing in the aroma, breathed rich scent of the chocolate spiced rum smiling slightly abated some of tension already.

“Welcome home t’thyla,” Semaj’s voice called gently as he crossed the living room area of the quarters. He too was only wearing the sleeping shorts. His thin muscled framed gliding over the floor.

He stepped close and kissed Jayc once then a second longer kiss. “I missed you.”

Jayc traced his husbands cheek, took a swallow of the warm liquid and passed it to Senaj, who also sipped from it as well, then placed it on the replicator as he slid his arms around his husband letting their bodies press together.
“I missed you too!” Tim said the stress easing and being forgotten. He kissed Semaj’s pointed ear and just behind, the spot the Vulcan liked.
“How was your day Imzadi?”

“Computer Romance Semaj 1.”

The lights dimmed to the red lowlight of a Vulcan evening and Deltan music began its rhythmic flow in the room . “Better with you here, though I am concerned for the chief’s frustrations. Lt. Dogan seems ready to protest his risk his career in protest to his inability to incarcerate Admiral Sullivan for her unnecessary assault on the captain.”

Jayc slid his hand up the Vulcans back . Touching pressure points he’d been taught in their evenings together. They turned in their impromptu dance and Jayc could see Starbase Freedom in the Viewport. “I don’t know the captain would agree,” Jayc pondered. “She doesn’t just quit anything when she knocked down.”

“I believe Lt. Dogan disagrees with her right to risk personal injury. His belief in her safety as his personal responsibility in every circumstance borders on the illogical.”

“Honor rarely has great extension of logic Imzadi, butI’m sure Commander Ire isn’t happy about it.”

“You met the admiral. What was your feeling?” Semaj quietude.

“Very intelligent, diligent, and likely willing to do the unpredictable I think.”

Semaj took two fingers of hi left hand and began tracing Tin’s shoulder, gently up his neck. Tin felt his skin prickle and the heightened awareness of the inner emotions of the Vulcan through his mental shields as the tactile telepath traced further.

“I am concerned with the direction of these inquiries along with the admirals willingness to harm another officer with no motivation. It speaks to anterior motives.”

Tin rested his forehead on Semaj’s the warmth of his skin against his.
“It’s possible. But maybe it could be a
topic for tomorrow morning?” He suggested.

“An agreeable postponement ,” the Vulcan whispered letting his fingers trace along Tin’s jawline, finding the first nerve contact for mind meld. “Do you have bridge duty tomorrow?”

Jayce breathed in feeling the intensifying of a second finger finding the numeral
Connection. “I’m off duty until delta shift tomorrow night.”

Semaj. “I am also free until tomorrow evening…..Computer, lights off.”
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit.- Aristotle

HADESRPG: ( 2 - 0630) CO, Captain Keira Merek
From: docholladay2021 at gmail.com (Todd Holladay)
Date: Fri, 17 Oct 2025 22:19:08 -0500

Mission: Sequestered
Day: 2
Stardate: 2446.09.04

(USS Hades - Deck 2, Personal Quarters - CO, Captain Keira Merek & Ako
Kellis - 0630)

Keira stirred at the sound of her alarm. Her arm was still sore from the
surgery. "You up?" Kellis asked softly. "Yeah." came Keira's groggy answer
barely audible over the pleasant until you have to wake up to it tone that
was the alarm. "Alarm off." Kellis snapped at the infernal machine.

Her surroundings came into focus as she woke up Keira noticed Kellis was
wedged behind her back and the bed holding her tightly.

"Why am I like this?" Keira asked as it wasn't the position they normally
woke up in.

"You were tossing and turning last night. Going over stuff in your head I
don't know, but you kept banging your arm into things. So I shoved my
shoulder under your back, kept your arm off the bed and held on so you
wouldn't move around so much." Kellis explained as Keira swung her legs
over the side of the bed.

"Did it work?" Keira asked genuinely curious.

"Seemed to," Kellis answered. "You slept the rest of the night."

"Thank you." Keira said genuinely. She began cautiously moving her arm
joints.

The Bajoran shrugged. "I hate seeing you in pain. Speaking of, station
doctor gave you a hypo, when is your next dose due?"

"About right now." Keira admitted.

"I'll get that ready, you go wake up Rayna," was suggested.

"Shirt first, then Rayna." Keira said.

"Hmmm shirt, hypo then rambunctious ball of bottled lightning?" she
countered.

"Alright." Keira said and a different tone interrupted them.

"Who would call at this hour?" the brunette woman asked.

"Shirt, then call, final answer." Keira said. The Bajoran nodded and
grabbed a uniform undershirt of the rack. She helped her get the shirt on
over damaged, but recently repaired and stiff tissues.

The tone chimed again. The Bajoran woman grabbed a hair tie, putting it in
her mouth and gathered up the Captain's straw colored hair and slipped the
elastic tie on.

The Romulan woman straightened up and faced the comm panel on the desk.
"Accept call."

[Voice print verification required.]

"Keira Valora Merek, Captain USS Hades." Keira said calmly and evenly her
full known name.

[Voice print recognized.]

The UFP seal was replaced with the Face of Admiral Sullivan already in full
uniform. "Greetings, Captain."

"You...." the Bajoran hissed, her eyes narrowed.

Keira shot her girlfriend a look. She responded, "I guess I'll wake up
Rayna..." and stormed off.

"What can I do for you, Admiral?" Keira said; she had considered last
night's incident closed.

The Admiral's practiced eye looked past yesterday's opponent to the wall
behind her, in the visible field. =^=What is that decoration?=^=

Keira didn't even look behind her, she knew what the Admiral was referring
to. "Owlbear pelt."

=^=What...=^= T'Larah paused, =^= ..is an Owlbear?=^=

"Large quadrupedal creature native to a world the Federation is currently
in negotiations with. Exeter made contact with them over a year ago. I was
part of the entourage, during a ride using some of my free time an
atmospheric glider had crashed on the surface apparently in the territory
of one of these creatures with some characteristics of a bear and some of
an owl. I had to kill the creature to save the pilot."

The Admiral visibly straightened up, apparently impressed. =^= Well, I
called to inform you I've delayed your departure. I'll be meeting you and
your senior staff in your conference lounge Oh-eight hundred today. =^=

"May I be candid, sir?" Keira asked an edge to her voice.

The older woman nodded. =^= Go ahead.=^=

"What's this about Admiral? Does this have to do with our last mission? I
know you spoke to my officers."

There was a pause as the Admiral considered her next words. =^= It has
something to do with your previous mission, yes.=^=

~What is she going to finish the job and beat up the rest of my officers?
At least Dogan would stop her.~

Keeping her bearing despite her internal monologue, "Which officers would
you like, sir?"

=^= I'll send you a list. See you in less than two hours. Sullivan out. =^=
The screen went back to the UFP seal before going dark again.

"The patient has a visitor." Kellis said as she heard the line
close."Gently now Rayna..."

The barely contained ball of energy thundered across the living space
"Keira!"

"Hey Rayna!" Keira said as the girl arrived by her side.

"Are you hurt?" the little raven haired girl said with equal parts
ignorance and innocence.

"A little, but I'll get better. The doctors helped fix me." Keira
explained.

"You never came home last night." she said meekly.

"We were supposed to do something, weren't we?" Keira said.

"Uh-huh." Rayna said.

"We'll do something after my shift." Keira promised. "But we're due to get
underway today, so it might be a little later than usual."

"Now?" Rayna half asked half demanded.

"Can't now..." Keira started to explain. Then the hiss of the hypospray was
heard as Kellis pressed the hypo to the Blonde woman's shoulder muscle.

Rayna started giggling. "Got you!"

Keira in mocked alarm and shock, "You conspired against your Captain!"

"Yup, pure mutiny, that was." Kellis said in a playful tone. Rayna was
still giggling.

"Seriously, though.." Keira said with a frown "I have a meeting and then
we're leaving and everyone has to be at their posts."

"Promise?" Rayna asked.

"As much as I can," Keira said. "Why don't you go to the replicator and
grab some breakfast? Whatever you want."

"Coffee for you?" Kellis asked.

"Raktajino, strong. I'll need it." Keira answered.

She keyed up the messaging subroutines and sent messages to Ire, Jayc,
Dogan, Dural and Masters for the meeting in the conference room at zero
eight hundred. She then pressed send.

With that accomplished she could spend an hour with her chosen family
before she had to run off to work.

HADESRPG: (2 - 0750, 0807) CO, Captain Keira Merek, Et al.
From: docholladay2021 at gmail.com (Todd Holladay)
Date: Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:37:12 -0500

Mission: Sequestered
Day: 2
Stardate: 2446.09.04

(USS Hades - Deck 1, Observation Lounge - CO, Captain Keira Merek - 0750)

Kiera had walked over from her ready room to the Observation lounge.
Wearing full uniform, with the addition of a medical brace for her arm
while on duty for the next couple of days. It was weird doing things with
her non-dominant left arm that she was used to doing with her right. She
was given the choice of a medical forcefield or archaic straps, cloth and
pads, she chose the latter. Partially for an engineering reason, if some
stellar phenomenon took out powered objects ship wide it wouldn't
affect her, also partially because Keira had always felt a connection to
the past, growing up on a frontier colony sometimes had that effect on
people. She had however gotten several stolen glances on the bridge
strapped into a big bulky medical device. They tried hiding it but she
caught it anyway. She elected not to say anything.

She waited for the others to arrive, and the presumed nth degree she and
her crew was going to get from the head of Internal Affairs.

(Reply Ire, Jayc, Dogan, Dural, Masters)

(USS Hades - Deck 1, Observation Lounge - CO, Captain Keira Merek, Chief
IA, Vice Admiral T'Larah Sullivan, CMO Lt. Dural Methor, MCO, Major Sean
Masters - 0807)

The Majority of the people had made it in with Dural and Masters
squeaking in just before the zero-eight deadline.

The tension was palpable, quiet until just before the chronometer would
change, the Admiral walked in.

"This looks like everyone." the Admiral began, sensing that questions hung
in the air she spoke. "I've reviewed your last mission. Intrigued by the
specimen that you brought in." She indicated to Lt. Cmdr Jayc. "A creature
with unsettling abilities and that whose individual existance was not on
any official log, database or data repository. Quite frankly it stank to
Sha Ka Ree. With my clearance I should be able to find *something.* I dug
deeper. Thinking that perhaps something or someone untoward was happening.
I looped in an old friend from Starfleet Security and it was agreed that
since I was already 'on the ground' I would begin an investigation. The one
common denominator was your crew, which seemed like a reasonable place to
start."

Keira opened her mouth to speak, face hinted at an indignation, but
Sullivan held up a finger. "I'd advise against that, Captain."

Keira held her tongue for now, waiting to see how this played out.

"I reviewed the logs, established a reasonable person standard with another
crew I had on hand, my next move was to determine motives and if there were
any inconsistencies indicative of coercion, or any clandestine activities.
I interviewed your officers, and with the exception of one initially
obstinate one, were all cooperative. I had scheduled a review of your
computer core if those interviews were inconsistent, but in my judgement
that was unnecessary."

"So my crew and I are guilty?" Keira softly interjected. "Or is it just me
you are after?"

"Far from it, Captain, your crew shouldn't be condemned, they could be
commended." She tapped her combadge, "Number one, send over package Alpha."

A stack of small wooden boxes materialized on the table. The Admiral
grabbed the top one.

"Commander Williams. For your leadership of the away team tasked with the
successful retrieval of Research Outpost Forty-Seven survivors it is by my
hand on this stardate you are here by awarded the Starfleet Achievement
Medal." She fixed the full medal retrieved from the box, displayed leveled
two centimeters below his combage. She then nodded.
"Congratulations Commander."

(Reply Ire)

"Lieutenant Commander Jayc, your communication with the cosmozoan species
revealed an intelligence that it was clear Starfleet had underestimated
them. With that fact in mind your actions qualify as diplomacy. You are
here by awarded the Sarek Medal of Merit for establishing communication
with newly recognized intelligent life, in keeping with the very core of
starfleet mores and values." She fixed the medal, just as before two
centimeters below Jayc's combadge. "Congratulations, Lieutenant Commander."

(Reply Jayc)

"Lieutenant Dogan, post." She said obtaining a third box. "Your actions in
the rescue of the survivors of outpost forty-seven, using your strength and
placing your body at risk for those same survivors is no mean feat.
Therefore I am awarding you the Gold Lifesaving Medal." She fixed the
medal, the same as before. "Congratulations, Lieutenant."

(Reply Dogan)

The Admiral obtained the next box and waited for the Brikar to return to
his previous position.

"Major Masters, post." she said simply.

The Marine snapped quickly to attention and moved quickly in a blink he was
standing tall directly in front of the Admiral.

"Major your use of your Drop ship as a power source was a brilliant piece
of improvised engineering. You are hereby awarded the Cochrane Medal of
Merit. Your quick thinking shored up the SIF of the station long enough for
the survivors to be evacuated. Excellent work."

As she affixed the Medal in the same place as all the others, she whispered
simply "Your father and I are proud of you."

For the briefest of moments as Sean was flooded with emotions that he
usually kept buried, one of his eyes twitched, and he blinked. In that
blink the discipline had reasserted itself. "Thank you ma'am." Sean moved
out smartly, and found a place towards the back separate from the rest.

"Doctor Methor. You're up." the Admiral stated.

Dural lumbered carefully towards the front within the Admiral's reach.

"Doctor I'm told in medical circles that what you experienced was
called a *mass
casualty event. *Is that true?" the Admiral questioned.

"Yes, ma'am." Dural answered evenly.

"From what I understand, mass casualty events are make or break events in
the halls of medicine. They either make the medical staff better, more
confident in their abilities or they do the opposite. You and your staff
experienced one that lasted for several days as you returned to Starbase
Freedom. You did so without a single loss of life. I hereby award you the
Crusher Medal of Merit." she said while fixing the medal. "Furthermore your
entire medical staff will be walking away with Commendations added to their
files. "Congratulations, Doctor. To you and your staff."

Dural bowed slightly, "You honor us, Admiral. Thank you."

T'Larah reached for the final box. "The last award will go to Petty Officer
First Class Tarol Aurin, who was injured severely in the line of duty. His
courage and dedication to duty broke open the cause of the problem with the
station, and he very nearly died. I believe he's earned the Ribbon of
Sacrifice. I understand he is still convalescing?"

Dural spoke up. "Yes, Admiral, he is still under the care of Starbase
Freedom and their staff."

"Very well, I will go visit him later today to award him. Is there anything
you want to say or ask before I leave?"

Dogan entered the Lounge, apparently ahead of the others to find Captain
Merek alone looking out a window. He noted her uniform had a new addition.

Of course he had heard about her run in with Vice Admiral Sullivan and its
end result. He’d growled slightly contemplating not even letting the CO
roam her own ship without some kind of protective supervision. It just
reminded him of how… brittle humanoids really were. Still, he understood
the captain’s reluctance to submit in a fight situation. He might have
chosen the same path.

“Captain,” the Brikar said, gaining her attention “An interesting addition
to your uniform.” The statement was flat and nonchalant. Merely an
observation, but veiling his sardonic humor.

SBFREEDOM-RPG: HADESRPG: (2 - 0756, 0807) Lt. Commander Jayc

Mission: Sequestered
Day: 2
Stardate: 2446.09.04

(USS Hades - Deck 1, Observation Lounge - Second Officer- Chief Science Officer - Lt. Commander Tinmanrion Jayc- 0756)

The Captain and of course Dogan were already present when Jayc entered the Lounge. The Brikar was eyeing the arm brace on the Captain with an expression only a Brikar could make. As tempting as it was Tin minded his own business and kept his psi barriers in place. He nodded to both and stepped over to the much larger being.
“Good morning my friend,” he whispered to Dogan. “Semaj asked me to relay that he has something for you regarding your requested task.”

(Reply Dogan)

As they spoke others entered, Admiral Sullivan began.

Everyone fell silent.

"I've reviewed your last mission. Intrigued by the specimen that you brought in." She indicated to Lt. Cmdr Jayc.

Jayc nodded in acknowledgment of the statement as she continued,

"A creature with unsettling abilities and that whose individual existance was not on any official log, database or data repository. Quite frankly it stank to Sha Ka Ree. With my clearance I should be able to find something. I dug deeper. Thinking that perhaps something or someone untoward was happening. I looped in an old friend from Starfleet Security and it was agreed that since I was already 'on the ground' I would begin an investigation. The one common denominator was your crew, which seemed like a reasonable place to start."

It went on with a comment, question from the captain. A good question and one that went to the heart of the darker side of the federation.

Tin was surprised when the box’s materialized and the commendations were brought forth.

“As she pinned his on his chest he whispered, “Thank you Admiral, and I apologize for being obstinate. But in my defense you should meet my mother.”

The Vulcan looked at him dryly, but there was a twinkle in her eye.
“I hope to work with you again ma’am, in better circumstances.” He added as she moved on to the next award.

Day: 2
Stardate:2446.09.04

(USS Hades- Deck one Bridge - CSciO/20, Lt. Commander. Tinmanrion Jayc-0758:30)

Jayc was focused on the report of the infernal creature in perpetual transport. The admiral was irritated. Jayc pointed out that he’d sent the order to Scientific Headquarters and was already cleared for choosing safety of ship and crew.

The admiral sniffed but a courier had been sent and the damn thing was finally gone as of an hour ago.

"Commander Jayc, how was your shift? Anything happen that I need to be aware of?"

Jayc vacated the conn and faced her.
“Good morning. Yes we are ready for our guests and that parasitic pancake is out of my science bay. We are ready on all systems for departure on your order.”

(USS Hades - Bridge – FO - CMDR – Ire Williams - 0759)

Ire stepped out of the turbolift and onto the bridge. He hadbeen worried that he was going to be late as he had been talking to Greta. He hadmissed not having her on board even though he knew that she was safer where shewas then on the Hades. It had been a hurried conversation due to the timedifference between earth and the Hades as she was going to the maternity unitat Starfleet medical for another routine checkup. She had gotten larger thensince he had seen her last but there was no way he would have survived the Celticferocity. She had told him about her and peanut were doing as well asinformation about their respected families. It had been a great to speak to hereven if it was only a short time and he looked forward to speaking to her again. He had hurried to get ready and had headed swiftly to the turbolift.

"Right on time, Ire."  Helooked over at his Captain and nodded.

"Lets go to the transporter room. You too,Lieutenant."

He followed Dogan and Merek back into the turbolift.

(USS Hades - Deck 2 - Transporter Room 1 - CO, Captain Keira Merek - 0805)

“Permission to come aboard?” asked the woman Keira hadn't seen since the
Mystique mission to Trill, over two years ago. Did she carry herself
differently?

"Permission for you and your entourage granted, *Commander!" *Keira said
with a smile.

(Reply Solice & Away team)

"I suppose introductions are in order." Keira started. "I'm sure you
remember my First Officer Commander Ire Williams."

(Reply Ire)

"I'm pleased to introduce my Chief Science Officer and Second Officer,
Lieutenant Commander Tinmanrion Jayc."

(Reply Tinman)

"Our Brikaran Tactical /Security Chief and Third Officer Lieutenant Cal
Dogan." Keira indicated.

(Reply Dogan)

"And you may remember Cardassian CMO, Doctor Dural." Keira said, not sure
of how much the two doctors had interacted during medical school if at all
knowing they had different specialties.

"A pleasure always, Doctor." the Cardassian beamed.

(Replys from Solice and away team)

"We've arranged for quarters for you on this deck, the quarters are
normally reserved for visiting dignitaries and ambassadors, but since they
aren't being used currently," Keira said with a smile, "why not?"

"I'm pleased to introduce my Chief Science Officer and Second Officer, Lieutenant Commander Tinmanrion Jayc."

Jayc nodded, “Pleasure to see you all again,” he said looking at the assembled people. He could not read the red heads emotions, and her skin looked a little off for human. Changeling? He wondered.

The green hued being, Takaran or partially anyway. Somehow he seemed out of place.

The introductions were made and Captain Merek explained the groups guest quarters.

Jayc observed, as good scientists do.

From: almuir62 at gmail.com (Al Muir)
Date: Sun, 26 Oct 2025 21:37:21 -0700

Mission: Homecoming

Day: 2

Stardate:2446.10.18

(USS Hades - Deck w - Transporter Room 1- CSec - Lt. Cal Dogan - 0808)

Dogan had assumed his usual position behind the others, although his
presence forced them to step closer to the transport pads. As the center
from the starbase appeared he scanned them with his eyes, at first with
suspicion, and then with recognition of most of them.

Captain Merek went through her welcoming pleasantries and introduced her
senior staff, who, in turn, welcome the newcomers. Then she introduced
him.

“Our Brikaran Tactical /Security Chief and Third Officer Lieutenant Cal
Dogan,” said with a gesture towards him.

Cal nodded, “Introductions are not necessary for Commander Solice, nor her
consort, Mr. Weston. They are well known to me. Commander, it is a
pleasure. Congratulations on your promotion to Executive Officer of
Freedom. I am certain that the Illuminar misses your medical skills as well
as your leadership skills.”
