(USS Apollo, Observation Lounge, Agent Soval - 07.05) "I can't have everyone in a meeting, even though most of them are command staff in this timeline! Anyway, I want some advice on our next course of action. Soval, where are we on the collection of the crew?" "87% of the crew have now been ascertained, 69% are onboard presently and the remainder will either rendezvous with the Apollo or be collected within the next two hours. The remaining unaccounted indviduals are outwith my means to locate and we will need to rely on them finding ourselves, messages to this effect have been logged at certain key databases for when they access them however i am unable to predict when they will be located." "Kahila, anything interesting to report amongst them, all in good health?", asked Remae, getting another coffee from the replicator. (Reply from Lono) "Okay, let's call a staff meeting; see what everyone thinks our next move should be. One hour in here, let's have all possible solutions to our problem on the table, plus, how we are going to find out still missing crew. dismissed." "Captain if i may?" (reply Remae) "Regarding your earlier comment, the majority of personnel are now within command positions however i took the liberty of assuming you will be using the command structure from the Spectre. I merely wish to confirm this proposition." (reply Remae) NRPG: just wondering when the first person will decide that Remae should no longer be in charge since they are higher in rank in this reality, unless i am the only one who thought of that subplot ... if so ignore this comment. RPG: Soval followed the Captain as he headed out of the room and back onto the Bridge, the ship was at impulse and approaching an old looking Fernegi trading station where the Spectre was apparently located. (Reply from Lono, Remae, Any) (Posted by John Morrison) (USS Apollo, Bridge - Kahila Lono - 07.00) After the Apollo escaped from its encounter with the Time Ship, Kahila took the opportunity to visit Sickbay and reacquaint herself with the nurses and doctors on duty, talking with them for a few moments, making sure that their present facility would have everything needed in case of injury or illness. Though they were still taking inventory, they assured her everything would be ready if needed. They exchanged a few stories concerning their new lives. Just as Kahila had noticed about her own psyche, everyone said that the presence of their Spectre crewmates, despite the very different surroundings aboard the Apollo, helped to strengthen their memories of the original timeline. At least, to Kahila it seemed now that it must have been the original timeline. Her memories of her lifetime in Oahu were still a part of her, but had dropped back to a nearly dreamlike sequence, while her memories of the Spectre took on vivid reality. After she'd made calls to Stellar Cartography, and then Engineering, greeting the crew there, and assuring them that everything possible would be done to regain the timeline, she went back to the Bridge. Very quickly then, Captain Remae called her, and other Senior Officers into a meeting. After they'd gathered in the Observation Lounge, Remae said: "I can't have everyone in a meeting, even though most of them are command staff in this timeline! Anyway, I want some advice on our next course of action. Soval, where are we on the collection of the crew?" Kahila listened as he made his report, taking notes on a PADD, as to those still remaining to be contacted. Then Remae said: "Kahila, anything interesting to report amongst them, all in good health?", asked Remae, getting another coffee from the replicator. She nodded. "Yes. I've just been to Sick Bay, and there are no problems there. And I've spoken with Engineering and Stellar Cartography. I've talked to several people in each department, and they report that memories of the original timeline are steadily gaining reality -- at least to them, and to myself." "Okay, let's call a staff meeting; see what everyone thinks our next move should be. One hour in here, let's have all possible solutions to our problem on the table, plus, how we are going to find out still missing crew. dismissed." Kahila left, as Agent Soval was still speaking with Remae. She went to the nearest com panel and announced the staff meeting, then returned to the Bridge. She was watching the view screeen as , the ship approached an old looking Fernegi trading station where the Spectre was apparently located. She smiled in expectation, thinking ~The Captain must be looking forward to seeing his ship again!~ Though too, she wondered in what condition they might find the Spectre. The present environment didn't look encouraging. reply any posted by Josephine Goodman (USS Apollo, Observation Lounge, Captain Remae Ktell - 07.10) "Regarding your earlier comment, the majority of personnel are now within command positions however I took the liberty of assuming you will be using the command structure from the Spectre. I merely wish to confirm this proposition." "That is correct, unless anyone has any objections?", said the Commandant and with that, no more questions were asked, Remae returned to the Bridge. (USS Apollo, Bridge, Captain Remae Ktell - 07.15) "The bridge is yours sir. We've received a message from The USS Lion, an Admiral Doc Peaboy says he is on his way? I assume he is someone from the Spectre, though I never met him myself." "Thanks. Doc is the Acting CEO, though I thought I asked him to come onboard the Apollo. Please alert me when the Lion arrives.", said Remae, taking the command chair. "Captain, this apparently is a Ferengi Station, a small Pod has approached and offered to escort us in - the Ferengi said it was more economical if they hired more family and less HU-mans.", said someone. "Okay, Selera, take us in.", said Remae with a smile. They were guided towards that station which took them through a mass of old and derelict ships and spare parts. "Transport our crew as soon as we are in range.", said Remae to anyone. The viewscreen was locked on a familiar shape. "Captain -, um, Captains, there's an anomalous energy signature coming from the Spectre.", said Lono from her chair. "Here's the answer.", said Remae, adjusting the viewscreen to bring up the sensor readings. "That's not the Spectre; these reasons make her look like the Wraith, her sister ship. Last time I saw the Wraith, she was in a lot better condition, looks like it has a ruptured warp core.", said Remae, turning away from the main viewscreen. The transporter room had begun beaming over the crew from the station, "Doctor, could you pop down to Sickbay and give them the once over?" "Soval, lay in the next set of coordinates for Selera and prepare to get underway. Can you also sent a copy to the Lion, we'll meet Doc there", said Remae as he stood up, "I'll be on the OL." He headed across the Bridge to the meeting room to prepare for the 0800 meeting. (Reply from any) (Posted by Anthony Keen) (Apollo Bridge, Kahila Lono, 7:15) Kahila sat at a workstation near the viewport, watching as a Ferengi shuttle led the Apollo, helmed by Captain Selera, through a maze of junked ships, some of which were obviously only good now for parts. A knot of apprehension had formed in Kahila's throat. ~I hope the Spectre has fared better than any of these!~ she thought. She glanced to the left and back, to where Commandant Remae sat. She was glad he'd seated himself in the Captain's chair. ~The whole command structure thing can be tricky under these circumstances. Once we're back aboard the Spectre, life should seem more familiar to everyone. Though some of these crewmembers had barely gotten the feel of the ship before everything changed.~ Remae smiled to her encouragingly, and she returned the smile. When Kahila looked back out the viewport, she was glad to see the Ferengi had led them to an area where four ships were tethered to an even smaller station than the main outpost. All four ships appeared, at first glance, to be space worthy. "There it is," Kahila said softly. What emotional distance still remained between Kahila and her old memories fell away when she saw the Spectre. As they grew near to the ship, the Ferengi pulled away, allowing the Apollo to begin alignment with the Spectre. Kahila scrolled through the readouts on her display, as the Apollo's sensors scanned the Spectre. Suddenly, she stopped scrolling, and said, "Captain -, um, Captains, there's an anomalous energy signature coming from the Spectre." reply Remae, any posted by Josephine Goodman (USS Apollo: Corridor outside Ten-Forward - Pierce Orde - 0720) Pierce Orde walked slowly through the corridors, familiarizing himself with his surroundings. It always helped to know the general layout of a ship, and he was innately gladdened that design plans had not changed overmuch in this universe. A staff meeting, or so he'd heard, had been called for 0800 later in the day. Until then, he was more-or-less 'at liberty,' but he had absolutely nowhere to go. Ten-forward came to mind, so he found himself there (with a modicum amount of assistance from the ship's computer and his own eyewear), still wearing his loose clothing. ~My uniform is still misplaced,~ he thought with a smile as he walked slowly around and found a place to sit. He drew a couple glances from nearby crew, but he ignored them. ~First issue: get back to original timeline. I wish George or Maria were here; they know dimension shifting well.~ (USS Apollo: Observation Lounge - Pierce Orde - 0800) Pierce found himself a chair and sat down, waiting for Remae to bring the meeting up. He had a few ideas on his PADD. "Sir, have we ascertained the locations of Maria or George Orde?" (Reply Remae) "Aye, sir. Other than that they are both part of the crew, they'd be especially valuable to figuring out how we got into this mess." (Reply remae, any) (Posted by Lenox) (USS Apollo, Observation Lounge, Captain Remae Ktell - 08.00) The Apollo was underway again, with her latest crew now onboard; Remae was holding the meeting he had promised to the senior officers. They began to file in, with the notable exceptions of Octan and Peabody. Remae was glad to have heard from Peabody but were was Octan? Soval had been scanning databases for hours, no luck yet. "Sir, have we ascertained the locations of Maria or George Orde?" Remae picked up a PADD, "Yes, some of the crew including the Orde's are heading our way on the Lion, as soon as we get to the next pick up point, their ship will arrive to drop them and everyone else from the Spectre off." "Aye, sir. Other than that they are both part of the crew, they'd be especially valuable to figuring out how we got into this mess." "I agree.", smiled Remae as he turned to the assembled officers, "We have some very serious issues to attend too. Firstly, the crew, our current collect and retrieve policy will have us regain 87% of the crew within the next few hours. We're waiting on the other 13%, we need to decide how long we're prepared to search for them. We have no idea where some of these people are, where to start looking. are we going to commit to decades of searching this galaxy for them all?" "Sooner or later, we are going to have to try and get back to our correct universe. I don't understand the technical details but its been made clear that time-travel isn't an option, we have to change dimensions. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or anything else I've mentioned?" Remae sat back, these two issues were serious enough for this briefing alone, if they did find a way back, 18 or so crew members may never be found, was Remae willing to give the order to leave them behind if they did find a way? (Reply from ALL, except Peabody and Octan) (Posted by Anthony Keen) (USS Apollo: Observation Lounge - Lt. Orde - 0807) "Sooner or later, we are going to have to try and get back to our correct universe. I don't understand the technical details but its been made clear that time-travel isn't an option, we have to change dimensions. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or anything else I've mentioned?" Pierce spoke up again: "Sir, we have that timeship gunning for us. Somehow, we're going to do something dangerous to the integrity of this timestream. Even if we are not going to do that now, that other ship out there doesn't know that. Unfortunately, all I can see us doing is watching our backs. Hopefully, when we get more of our science crew, we'll be in a position to figure out where in this multiverse we are. Commander Lono, before we got ourselves kicked in the pants into this reality, you were being held by an alien force. Do you remember anything from that encounter?" ~That you didn't or couldn't tell me,~ he completed mentally. (Reply Kahlia) (Posted by Lenox) (USS Newton: Bridge - CO Captain Bridget Mark - 0931) Captain Mark looked up from the PADD in her hand. "Status?" Her CONN officer checked the readouts. "Our quarry is steadily moving. No real appearance of haste on their part -- it looks like they're not trying to attact attention." She steepled her fingers. "Any new traffic?" "A ship just came out of transwarp. Her transponder codes flag her as the Galadriel." "Pull records and ascertain whether or not she is supposed to be here." The officer took a moment to do so. "Sir, she's stationed in the Delta Quadrant." ~Then what is she doing here? It's too odd, what with the Apollo just leaving.~ "She's hailed the Lion." "Eavesdrop." "Aye, sir." After listening to the conversation, Mark made her decision. "Tag that ship with a tracker. I want to know where she goes." "Aye, sir -- she's going into warp, same trajectory as Apollo." ~Following them?~ "How long until they overtake her?" "Too many unknowns sir.." "Guess." "An hour or two, perhaps..." ~If they're following them.~ "Set a roundabout course for the Apollo. We'll keep tabs on them." ~And may God have mercy on the captain of the Galadriel.~ (Reply none) (Posted by Lenox) (USS Apollo, Bridge, Captain Remae Ktell - 10.30) "Captain, sensors are picking up a familiar reading.", said someone. The Apollo was on her way to the next collection point at slipstream velocity. "Ensign Selera, take us back to normal space.", ordered Remae, "Pierce, what can tell you me?", he asked and after a moment, the viewscreen changed and a small object could be seen. "Magnify.", said Remae and as the screen did, the familiar shape was pretty obviously identify to all looking at it. "The Spectre, at least, a Spectre class. another Spectre class.", Remae corrected himself, seeing they had already observed the remains of the Wraith. "Set a course, full impulse and open a channel. This is the Federation Starship Apollo to the Spectre Class ship, please come in.", said Remae, awaiting an answer. (Reply from Ro Kaelyn, Any) (Posted by Anthony Keen) (USS Apollo: Bridge - Lt. Orde - 1032) Somehow, it still didn't feel right to be standing on the bridge of the Apollo. Orde put it aside when his captain asked for information. ~Time to be business,~ he thought. Checking over the panels, he gave his report: "Small ship, looks like a light explorer-type. Her shields are up, and she's running in low-power mode. We're lucky to have run across her, sir." As they neared, he picked up more information. "She's a Spectre-class starship, sir, although I can't tell you the name: she's masking her transponder codes. From the readouts I can gather, she's in an infiltration configuration." He opened the channel to the ship, noting the captain's message in the back of his mind as he kept a steady eye on his readings. (Reply Remae, any) (Posted by Lenox) -
