"We haven't set a firm date yet." Ben replied. "We have a couple in mind, I'd like to have my parents attend if possible." Ben knew his friend was happy for him, it showed as much as Sanok would let it show. There were a few things to do in the mean time just the same. "Marah will no doubt expect you to dance with her at the wedding." Ben said knowing Sanok wouldn't be fond of the idea. "I suggest you look at some of the holoprograms for instruction. I'm going to do the same, I'm not much of a dancer either and the Captain's party is only a few days away." Normally Sanok would shrug the idea off but he knew as well as Ben did how stubborn Marah could be, the wedding was her day and it was best not to upset the bride. "I don't like the idea any better than you but it is expected." Ben continued. He hoped he was able to get in enough practice before the party so he wouldn't be seen stumbling around like a klutz. "On another note the Captain wants to set up a bar serving real alcohol." Ben said. "Since we don't officially have any on board it has fallen to me to acquire some. I've sent a request to the Asrai for some and I've spoken with Chance about it. Do you think Rupert would be inclined to ship some out for us?" (reply Sanok) (posted by Milo Young) ------------------------- (USS Rosenante - Sanok's Quarters - Lt. Sanok - Day 1 - 2046) Ben said, "I don't like the idea any better than you, but it is expected." Dancing with Marah. Vulcans did not like to be touched. Vulcans didn't dance. Sanok would rather face a berserk Klingon warrior in battle. He didn't see a way out of this. "On another note," said Ben, "the captain wants to set up a bar serving real alcohol." ~That was never a good idea~, thought Sanok. It never ceased to amaze him how mature, disciplined Starfleet officers, could become so irresponsible when drinking. "Since we don't officially have any on board," said Ben, "it has fallen to me to acquire some." Officially indeed. If Captain Salid only knew how much illicit alcohol was on board.... "I've sent a request to the Asrai for some, and I've spoken with Chance about it," said Ben. "Do you think Rupert would be inclined to ship some out for us?" "Yes, Rupert would be so inclined, for a price," said Sanok. "Has the captain given you a budget, or are we expected to pay for it from our own funds?" (reply Soma) (posted by Bob B.) ------------------------- (USS Rosenante - Sanok's Quarters - 2O-CTAC Lt. sg Ben Soma- Day 1 - 2048) "Yes, Rupert would be so inclined, for a price," said Sanok. "Has the captain given you a budget, or are we expected to pay for it from our own funds?" Ben had to admit it was a fair question, Salid had left the details to him but he hadn't thought of asking about a budget. Since it was the Captain who requested real alcohol being available he didn't foresee any problem with working out a budget. "I hadn't thought of a budget." Ben admitted. "I'll have to clear that with the Captain first. In the mean time if you could contact Rupert to see what he has available, prices and work out the delivery I can bring that to the Captain as well." Another matter came to Ben, one that his friend would also have to oversee. "With the Asrai attending we'll have to step up security." Ben said. "Not to the point that it's obvious we've increased their presence but enough that we keep the Asrai out of sensitive areas." Sanok no doubt thought of that already but it was another aspect of the preparation that Ben felt obliged to voice. "Now that the business has been taken care there's another matter I wanted to bring to your attention." Ben continued. "There's a very old tradition still in practice today, it's called a bachelor party. When a man is about to get married his best man, you in this case, plans a party for him. Usually these parties involve drinking, sometimes an outing to a bar or similar establishment. There's really no set rules, it's meant to give the groom one last taste of freedom before he settles down." Ben didn't mention anything about strippers or some of the more exciting stories he'd heard, Sanok would most likely research the concept and learn everything he needed to know. Hopefully his friend wouldn't go too far, a normal Vulcan wouldn't even consider the idea but Sanok wasn't a normal Vulcan. He learned a long time ago that Sanok had a mischievous side, likely a remnant of embracing his emotions years ago. Opening her eyes she saw Tayla climbing out of the pool and apologising to everyone around her. Looking across at Kitty Josh saw her shake her head minimally as if to say she had no idea what was going on so Josh climbed out of the pool and followed Tayla. Laying a hand on her shoulder she stopped her. "What's the matter Tayla? Is there anything I can do to help?" Tayla nodded and said, “I'm fine. Just a headache. Honestly, I'll be fine.” Josh looked at her ACMO. "To be honest Tayla you don't look fine to me. Your nose is bleeding. Are you sure you wouldn't like me to take you to Sickbay?" “It's nothing. I used to get this as a kid. I'll be fine. I'll stop by sickbay, I promise.” Josh nodded not wanting to make too much of a fuss in front of everyone else. "Well, see that you do because I will check to make sure you have, and if you haven't you can expect a house call from me. Take the rest of the day off Tayla and relax. Lord knows there is nothing that important going on that needs you to be on duty today." Watching as Tayla agreed, “Oh I intend to. Thank you.”, and left the holodeck, Josh sighed somewhat and returned to the pool. Relaxing beside Kitty she turned to her. "That was a little strange don't you think? I can't remember anything about nose bleeds in her medical history, can you?" "Oh well, I think I might just check her medical records when I get back to my quarters. As for now, I'm simply going to relax enjoy myself." (No reply needed) (Posted by Marilyn) ------------------------- (Uss. Despite the mention of orders, he looked like he'd be very happy to have even a couple of hours of relaxation off-board the little boat. Nayeli grabbed her two duffle bags and slung one over her shoulder - she travelled light and didn't mind the accomodations that Starfleet provided her. Usually she was hoping from one investigation to the next and didn't have enough time to gather 'things'. =^=USS Rosenante to Runabout Archibald, ready for beam out.=^= Nayeli stepped on the transport pad and placed the second bag at her feet before taking her transfer PADD out of the side pocket. (reply security team) Nayeli flipped the PADD at the speaker, ont quite rolling her eyes but clearly non-plussed at the treatment. At least that's what Nayeli put forward for them to see - she actually rather liked the fact that regular 'fleet tended to treat the JAG with suspicion. Matrix was as nervous as a school boy on his first date. Anxious, excited and apprehensive, but pleased his guest took the extraordinary effort to journey to the Rose. "Sir, Federation Shuttle Prometheus inbound…three minutes to dock." said the officer behind the docking control center. Matrix simply nodded and waited. The bay door perimeter lit up red to signal that the doors were about to open and a moment later a faint hiss was heard as the force field allowed a portion of the environmental air to escape into space before it snapped into place. Matrix felt a slight movement of air in the cargo bay. The cargo doors took only 8.3 seconds to fully open and Prometheus was clearing visible only a few hundred meters outside the ship. It took approximately 15 seconds to enter the cargo bay and come to a quiet and complete stop perfectly aligned in its designated pad outlined in red and white pattern etched into the cargo floor. A few moments later the door opened to reveal a faith glow of blue ambient light inside and he could make out a few figures moving around inside. The shuttle pilot stepped out first and ensured that the departure steps were secure. He reached up to take the hand that was already extended out of the shuttle door and the figure walked down the three steps. She looked around and smiled as she found Matrix looking back. Matrix smiled in return and walked to greet her. She was a beautiful as the day he remembered last seeing her. (Posted by Steve) ------------------------- (USS Rosenante - CMO's Personal Quarters - CMO - Cmdr Josh Caskie - Day 5 -1917) Josh was in her bedroom putting the finishing touches to her costume. A pair of diamond drop earrings, a bracelet to match and was just putting on her scent when she heard the sound of her door chime again. Last time she had won a small wager with herself that it would be Kitty, this time she knew with certainty that it would be Mike. Josh did indeed have quite a sense of humour, although as a department head she didn't always allow just anyone to see it but walking through to the main room she smiled, put her hands on her hips and told the computer to open her door. As Mike stepped over the threshold Josh simply raised one eyebrow at him. "And here was me thinking that it was supposed to be us women that were fashionably late." (Reply Rosenbauer) Grinning at Mike to let him know that she was only joking she crossed over to him and kissed him. Looking him up and down she smiled again. "Although I must admit you're certainly a sight worth waiting for. (Reply Rosenbauer) Holding her arm out and waiting for Mike to take it she smiled at him. "Now if you're ready and I'm ready why don't we go have fun?" (Reply Rosenbauer iyw) USS Rosenante - Cargo Bays 1 and 2 - Cmdr Josh Caskie - Day 5 - 1940) Entering the room on Mike's arm Josh looked around. She could see a crowd around Marah and Mr Soma so she figured out that they had already made their announcement. She must remember to go congratulate both of them later. Tom and Dahlia were at the bar and even though Dahlia was technically Kitty's patient Josh wanted to have a word with her later. Kitty was doing the rounds of the medical personnel already there so that meant that Josh didn't need to immediately and surprisingly Tayla was in a deep discussion with Mr Sanok. Josh filed that in her mind for later and turned to Mike. "How about we get ourselves a drink and then find a table. As far away from the rest of the medical personnel as possible if you don't mind. That way they will know not to bother us unless I speak to them first." (reply Rosenbauer iyw) As they stopped at the bar Josh spotted the Captain behind it serving drinks. Lifting a finger to catch his attention she pretended not to recognise him. "I'll have a large glass of champagne please waiter and my partner will have a pint of Guinness." Eventually doing a double take she grinned at him. "Dear Lord Ahmed did we run out of Holographic waiters or something." (Reply Salid) Laughing, Josh smiled at him. "I must say that you are looking very sharp Sir and I must congratulate you on a very clever idea. It's obviously already a huge success. (Reply Salid) (posted by Marilyn) ------------------------- (Uss Rosenante Cargo Bays 1 & 2 LT. Tom and Dahlia Jackson COPS Day 5 1928) Tom returned to Dahlia with their drinks. Dahlia was happy that her friend Marah and Ben had set a date. Tom thought highly of Ben and he hoped the two would be as happy as they were. Tom looked at his wife. For the thousandth time he could scarcely believe he been so blessed. Dahlia caught her looking at him and returned his look of love. "Thomas you've got something on your mind don't you?" She asked. "You know me pretty well don't you?" Tom replied. Jackson went on with his thoughts. "I cannot believe how blessed I have been. We were brought together and you're about to give us children" Tom said. Dahlia squeezed his hand and looked at her husband before replying. Tom was a man of many moods. He was a good officer and capable leader. His record proved that. Yet at times he could be like a little boy. He had a bit of self doubt about himself. He could never quite believe he was worthy of her love. She had always and would always love Tom Jackson. Dahlia didn't care if he ever went farther than where they were at presently. The Rose was and is there home. "Thomas we are where we are meant to be. You are my beloved husband and the only man to be the father of my children" she told Tom as she kissed him softly. (Reply Sanok) She knew he would have wanted to speak to the Captain and she replied, "Let the crew have this evening before we set the cat amongst the pigeons." (Reply Sanok) (Posted by Jackie Smith) -------------------------- (USS Rosenante - Cargo Bays 1 and 2 - Lt Sanok - Day 5 - 1934) "I believe her name is Lily," said Fraiser. Sanok did not expect to hear that name. "I can't explain who she is, because i don't know," said Fraiser. "But I do know that she is connected to Ensign Signos." Outwardly, Sanok gave the typical, neutral, Vulcan expression. Inwardly, he was on alert. What had Lily done, and how did Fraiser encounter her? "Please continue, Lieutenant," said Sanok. "I could tell that you held concerns about her, sir." At first, Sanok thought Fraiser had noticed how cautious he was being with Ensign Signos during the Asrai mission. He discounted that, as Fraiser was not present when Lily was acting through Signos in combat. He then wondered if she was empathically sensing something from him. Again, he discounted this, as the disciplined Vulcan mind, was capable of keeping things hidden and buried. Since she had stated that there was an encounter yesterday, perhaps she had noticed that Sanok was keeping an eye on Ensign Signos. "That's why i came to you before I went to the captain," said Fraiser. "To be honest, I haven't told Parker about this either." "Perhaps we should go to the security office," said Sanok. "You can talk more freely there." Fraiser shook her head. "I don't want to do anything about this just yet. What I need, is a good night's sleep to resettle my mind. My major concern, is that my barriers aren't that strong." She paused. A distant look in her eyes. "I may have misinterpreted what happened, but i know what i felt, and still feel." "I am at your disposal any time, Lieutenant," said Sanok. Fraiser thanked him, a smile on her face. She noticed that Counselor Davis was looking for her, so she stood up and said she needed to be with him. She also asked that Sanok keep their talk between them. "It will remain confidential." ~At least for now,~ thought Sanok. Fraiser had specifically said Lily was dark and terrible. If the threat was growing, he would need to be on a higher alert. "Let the crew have this evening, before we set the cat amongst the pigeons." Sanok raised an eyebrow, not quite sure what Fraiser meant by that. "It's just a saying, sir. I will come and see you tomorrow, and then we can make the decision on what to do." "I will be expecting you," said Sanok. "In the meantime, you cannot tell this to anyone else, not even Counselor Davis. For security reasons." He paused. "Have a pleasant evening." Sanok wanted to tell her to be careful, but there was no point in upsetting her. He would simply need to watch two people tonight. (Reply Salid) Kitty grinned. "Thank you Sir. Could I have a large glass of fresh orange juice and ice please. I might well be covering a shift tonight plus I need to keep at least one eye on Mrs Jackson just to be on the safe side." As Ahmed placed her orange juice in front of her Kitty thanked him. "Now Sir if you don't mind I think I should go circulate amongst the medical personnel. Josh will be way to busy I think and it's about time she had a night off anyway." Grinning at the Captain Kitty made her way over to one of the tables where most of the off duty medical personnel were seated and sitting down began to talk to them. (USS Rosenante - Cargo Bays 1 and 2 - MO - Lt (sg) Kitty Fisher - Day 5 - 1955) After spending ten minutes or so talking with the crew Kitty began to look around the room and her eyes alighted on some one who, dressed as he was, certainly looked as if he would be fun to speak to. Excusing herself she picked up her half empty glass and crossed the floor towards him. Stopping beside this extremely dapper looking gentleman Kitty smiled at him. "Lt Viskhard isn't it." (reply Viskhard) Kitty knew it was, Medical was the same as Command or Security in they knew everyone at least by sight on the ship, but Kitty wasn't about to let that spoil her game plan. "Yes, I thought It was." She extended her hand. "Kitty Fisher, pleased to meet you." Draining her glass she gazed at it and then over towards the now crowded bar. (Reply Viskhard) (posted by Marilyn) ------------------------- (USS Rosenante - Cargo Bay 1 & 2 – Science Officer – Ensign JG Andrew Maddox – 1950) Andrew mulled about the Cotillion. Social events such as this weren’t exactly his forte. He hadn’t gotten himself back to where he was, but at least he was an officer again. He looked around for a proper place to be seen but not noticed, and he spotted the band. It was a motley assortment of perfectly average people from mathematically determined places around Federation space. They also had the propensity of never taking any breaks or intermissions. ~Holograms. They’re too perfect. Perhaps what this place needs is a personal touch.~ Andrew not missing a beat walked straight over to the band and veered toward the piano. Exactly 3 paces from the bench stood at attention. “I relieve you.” He said simply and clearly. “Sir?” the hologram pianist responded, smiling still and playing as if his fingers were separate from the rest of his being. ~Evidently it does not compute. I don’t see how I could be related to him.~ “I said, ‘I relieve you’.” He said more insistently. “You are programmed to enhance our enjoyment of the festivities. I would quite much like to play the piano for our assembled crew and guests.” “But.. I…” he stammered. Now the music stopped. Apparently, it didn’t compute for the others either. “Don’t worry you can have it back when I’m through.” He said calmly. “Very well.” He said, scooted the bench back and stood up sharply. The hologram then proceeded off the stage and disappeared as the program paused. Maddox quietly sat down, now the band’s silence had drawn quite a lot of attention. “Top of the page everyone. Three, two, one.” Maddox began playing the same song the hologram had been. It took a few seconds for him to get precisely in synch with the rest of the band. After that few seconds, the music was right back to where it started. (Reply any) (Posted by Todd) ------------------------- (USS Rosenante - Cargo Bay 1 & 2 –LT. Tom and. I wanted to put on a good show for the party. After all, we must remain here for two hours at least." He was babbling due to nervousness, and he didn't want to keep the good doctor waiting. "Perhaps, afterwards, you'd like to walk a girl home?" She winked at him and Visk didn't know what to say so he nodded mutely until he found his voice. "Well, Doctor Fisher asked me to get her a drink, have you met her? You can join us, I see you already have a drink." Confidence~ she thought to herself as she straightened herself and walked into the cargo bays. The sight of the crew and some of the Asrai enjoying themselves with a full dance floor made her smile. Taking in the sight, she spotted Viskhard straight away, talking to a woman she recognised as one of the medical staff. He started to walk back and then turned back to look at her again. ~This should be interesting~ she thought to herself and walked to his side, just lightly touching her hip against his leg for a brief second and then moving away. “Girl's got to fend for herself in the world.” She watched as he held out the drink and said, "Your orange juice, Doctor. Have you met Security Officer Turner yet?" Blake smiled sweetly and held out her hand, saying, “I don't believe i've had the pleasure.” (Reply Fisher) Blake took her hand in hers and shook it, perhaps gripping a little harder than was necessary. She could tell what this woman was here for and she wasn't about to take it. “A Pleasure, doctor. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I hope never to be in need of your services. A trip to sickbay is not something I usually need.” (Reply Fisher) (Reply Fisher, Viskhard, any) (Posted by Jackie Smith) ------------------------- (USS Rosenante, Cargo Bays 1+2 - JAG Lt. Nayeli - 2015) Not one to miss an opportunity to see what people were like off duty, Nayeli had decided to attend this cotillion. She did have one nice formal dress. It was the only one she had, but since she wore it only rarely and each time the crew she was with was different it made little difference to her. She did have a wider variety of formal work wear for prosecuting and such but this warranted bringing out the fancy dress. Walking in the door she saw a room awash with colour and noted the faces that wore standard uniform whites. These ones were usually the ones who toed the line easier and often stayed out the the view of the JAG throughout their careers; but one could never be certain. She stopped at the bar, interested in the fact that Salid was behind the counter instead of in front of it. "Captain, it's not often the CO serves in this way." She spoke lightly, making it clear she was curious rather than anything else. She completely understood that she might make people uncomfortable with questions. (reply Salid) "No, Captain. To me, it is a welcome sight. I am all for the command staff understanding service in wider terms than just ordering subordinates around." Nayeli smiled. (reply Salid) "Can I get a Black and Tan please, Captain?" Nayeli chose one of the Earth drinks she had learned to love under her first commander - he was rather fond of them and had enjoyed treating his offworld yeomen to their first Black and Tan. Some hated it, some - like Nayeli - had come to love it. (reply Salid) "Thank you." She nodded, picked up the glass and turned to face the crowds again. She almost did a double-take, last she'd heard this officer had been assigned to the USS Hades. ~I must remember to look up the crew lists BEFORE I get to an assignment.~ She sighed to herself but headed in the direction of the tall man who had two women standing near him. "Viskhard, it's been a long time. I see you've done well for yourself," her comment was slightly cool, after all, she had pursued him at the Academy and been ignored. (reply Blake, Fisher, any) (posted by Lori) ------------------------- (USS Rosenante - Personal Quarters - COUNS Parker Davis and Lt Tayla Fraiser - Day 5 - 2249, 2332) After the Cotillion, they strolled back to Tayla's quarters hand-in-hand. "Are you hungry?" he asked her. "Hmm, depends what you got?" she replied with a grin. Parker laughed. "It's your quarters! It's not a question of what *I've* got. The hostess provides," he said, and kissed her on the side of her head as he knocked his body against hers lightly. "So what've *you* got?" he teased. As they reached the door, she leaned back against the wall and said, "Wouldn't you like to know." He leaned against her, lightly pinning her wrists against the wall so that she could easily wriggle away if she wanted to. He kissed her and then said, his face only an inch from hers, "You have to open your quarters' door before we get in trouble out here." "Shame." She kissed him back and said, "Come on in." As she walked in, she rubbed her wrists gently. He looked down at her arms as he followed her and he placed his hands gently on the back of her shoulders. "You just tell me if I'm crossing the line," he said, reminding himself that communication was key and considering her history, she may not like what he just did. She turned and replied, "It's okay. Just unexpected. But not unwelcome." She pulled him close and whispered, "What now?" He held her for a moment and then whispered back, "You want me to lead you?" He was willing to give her full control if she wanted, or... "I can surprise you again." She grinned and said, "Surprise me, Mr Davis. If you think you can." He grinned back at her and pushed her gently into the bedroom, unzipping the magnetic zipper in the back of her dress as he went. (USS Rosenante - Personal Quarters - COUNS Parker Davis and Lt Tayla Fraiser - Day 5 - 2332) It was dark, something wasn't right. There were noises, screams of pain and the smell of blood in the air. Looking around, she could tell she had been tied to something. They were coming to hurt her again and, try as she might, she couldn't break free. Soon, the door opened and they walked in. Without saying a word, they advanced on her and raised their fists high. Opening her mouth, she screamed. Sitting bolt upright, she continued to scream. She flung her arms around to fight them off and screamed loudly for help that she knew wasn't coming. Parker was whacked in the head and he stirred awake to the sound of Tayla screaming at the top of her lungs. "Whoa! Whoa, Tayla, what's wrong?" he asked, and tried to grab her flailing arms, finally successful. "Look at me! What's wrong? Do I need to call Sickbay? Computer, lights!" She pushed him off her and yelled, "You're going to hurt me." She left the bed and ran into the living area. Seeing the lights and the furniture knocked her back to reality. She began to shake and collapsed onto her knees and cried. "Tayla?" Parker followed her, puzzled pulling on his boxers as he went. He dropped down to his knees next to her and held her. "I'm so sorry...I didn't realize...God, I didn't mean to do this to you..." he rocked her gently. It was clear to him that while her conscious was fine with what they had done the previous night, her sub-conscious was not. And he felt ashamed and disgusted with himself. "I'm so sorry, Tayla..." "Not......you........ her....." she choked out as he held her close. "Who?" Parker asked, completely confused. "Lily." She turned to face him and said, "She's evil. Don't let her near me please.... please." ~Lily? Jessica's other personality? But how?~ Parker thought, trying to understand the mechanics of this. Admittedly, his knowledge of Betazoid neurophysiology was lacking and his knowledge of Jessica's neurophysiology was non-existent. He wasn't sure how Lily existed, let alone projected herself upon Jessica. It was simply his job to give her tools to control Lily. Tools which had clearly failed. For now, he held Tayla close and said, "I won't. But I can't take any chances. We have to get you to Sickbay." He tapped his combadge and pulled a blanket round her, saying, "Davis to Sickbay. Medical Emergency. Two to beam directly to Sickbay." (Reply Sickbay) (Posted by Jackie Smith & Morgan Gilmore) ------------------------- (USS Rosenante - Sickbay - COUNS Parker Davis and Lt Tayla Fraiser - Day 5 - 2335) Tayla felt her atoms de-materialise and then re-materialse as her living room became the sickbay. Looking around, she saw Kitty, trying her hardest to stifle a grin at the sight of them. Parker helped her to her feet and then to a bio bed. Looking at him, she shook her head and said, "Why am i here? It was a bad dream, nothing more." "This was more. Let me talk to the Doc. I'll be right back." She watched him walk to Kitty and they began to talk. Pulling the blanket around her, she could feel the images, feelings that she had been sent by Lily creeping back to the forefront of her mind and she closed her eyes, willing them back. When she opened them again, Parker was stood by her side and said, "Tayla, I'm going to the Captain with this. It's important he knows what's going on." Pushing herself off the biobed, she put a hand on his shoulder and said, "No, not yet. We don't even know how this happened yet." "I don't plan on telling him how it happened, just that it happened. He's the Captain and he needs to know that one of his crew was attacked," Parker stated firmly, the concern in his eyes not making it into the tone of his voice. He surprised himself with how angry he sounded. "Parker, no. I.... I can't be sure it was even an attack. It happened, I want it left alone for now. For God sake, this is my mind. You don't get to say what people know about what happens in here." She tapped her forehead to emphasize the point. Parker shook his head. "I'm sorry that you feel like it's an intrusion of your privacy, baby, but we have to tell the Captain about this. I'll tell him we can't be sure it's an attack--I'll be completely honest with him. I'll also tell him you want it kept private. I can imagine how much you already must feel like your privacy has been violated..." he said, reaching for her hand. "Then don't do it." She closed her eyes a moment and then opened them, saying, "Please, I'm asking you not to. I can't deal with telling anyone just yet. It's too fresh." She took his hand in hers and continued, "Do you love me?" Parker raised an eyebrow. What kind of question was that? "Of course I do," he started, and squeezed her hand. "This has nothing to do with our love, Tayla. This is a potential threat to the crew. This has to do with our duty. We both have a duty to tell the Captain about something that might harm them. What about Sanok? What about other partial telepaths on board? We have to think of them." She dropped his hand and took a step back, pulling the blanket around her saying, "So once again you choose duty over love. This is typical..." She stopped as she could feel the images crawling forward in her mind. He frowned and approached her, wrapping his arms around her in the blanket. "You must be tired. You should get some rest. I'll come right back after I've told the Captain." She pushed him away and growled, "I told you not to. Did you not hear me?" "You're acting irrational," he told her. And then said more forcefully, "You need to get some sleep." She walked right up to him and glared, "You...don't....tell.....me....what.....to.....do!" She punctuated the point by jabbing her finger into his chest as she spoke. "Doctor," Parker called, and then looked back to Tayla. "You're not acting right. You're acting...like a child. You need to calm down, Tayla. No one is going to hurt you. Do you hear me? You're not even looking at me." He grabbed her by the shoulders. "Come on, let's get you back into the biobed." The hands on her shoulders, she'd felt that before. When they'd attacked her. Instinct took over and she threw an elbow into the man's stomach whilst throwing a punch to the side of his head. "DON'T TOUCH ME! NOT EVER!" she screamed. Parker stumbled back, completely in shock, the wind knocked out of him. He caught his breath and caught her wrists again before she swung at him. He dodged her knee and screamed, "Tayla! Calm down! What are you doing?! Doctor!!" She struggled against the man's hands and howled in frustration. Glaring at him, she drove her head into his chest and knocked him back against a wall. Pinning his hands to the wall, she said, "You don't tell me to calm down. Do you understand?" The Sickbay staff were now trying to pry her away from him but Parker recognized the signs of adrenaline rushing through a person's body and he looked with concern into her enraged face. "What's going on, Tayla? What do you see? Talk to me..." She spat in his face and said, "Get out of my sight." She allowed the staff to pull her back and collapsed on her knees, taking in deep breaths. Trying to calm herself down. He dropped down to his knees in front of her and placed his hand on her leg gently. "I'm not going anywhere. What's happening? What's wrong, Tayla? What do you see? Were you attacked again?" She pulled an arm away from Kitty and slapped him with power that she didn't know she had and snarled, "Don't touch me." She instantly felt her arm pulled back and she could hear movement behind her. Struggling, she kicked out furiously. When Kitty finally pressed the hypospray against Tayla's neck and she fell limp, Parker looked to the doctor in shock and concern and asked, "What the hell is happening to her?"
