Kyah fought the urge to pull free, knowing that would just confirm something was wrong and she didn't want him to delve too closely into the situation. She did her best to return his gaze. It helped give Kyah something to think about other than the feeling of claustrophobia that was pressing in on her. ~just breathe~ “Sorry Doc, - there was just something in your voice… I just needed to make sure you were doing ok in there some folks have a little bit of a rough time in these suits…Are you doing ok?” Kyah nodded, not trusting herself to be able to speak for the moment, and carefully stepped back extricating herself from Stone's grip. She drew a calming breath, but before she could attempt to speak was interrupted by Rejal. =^=Rejal here. I've reactivated the ship's main computer and Mr. Korn is accessing the logs now. There may have been some tampering with the system, which I'm investigating now. I should have a better idea of what's going on with that by the time we get out of here=^= ~at least someone sounds like they know what they're doing~ “Copy lieutenant Rejal. See if you can figure out where the Tampering came from if you have time. Maybe there’s a security system on board that might have captured the tampering process? Lemme know when you guys are through down there BJ out.” It was only a few seconds, but it was enough to give Kyah time to compose herself. She gave Stone what she hoped would pass for a smile. "I'm fine Sir, apart from being abit ............ stuffy in this helmet. So, we're good to go then?" (USS Mithrandir - Bio-lab 1 - ACMO Serranta - 1904) If anything, the return trip was worse for Kyah than the initial beam over had been. As she materialised in the Biolab, she was hit with an overwhelming feeling of nausea. With shaking hands, she managed to get her suit undone enough to remove her helmet before the first wave of bile hit. "Well, that wasn't a very smart thing to do was it?" said a voice from behind her. (reply any?) (posted by Wendy) (USS Mithrandir - Bio-lab 1 - LMH - 1905) Sitting on one of the biobeds, arms folded, the LMH or long-term medical hologram whistled tunelessly as he waited for the corpses to arrive. A slight sparkle above the other biobed was the only warning he had of the incoming arrivals and he barely had time to hop off his own before the corpses materialised, shortly followed by a petite officer in an evac suit who happened to materialise with her back to him. Hardly had she done so than she ripped off her helmet and drew a deep breath of air, making retching sounds at the same time. "Well, that wasn't a very smart thing to do was it?" remarked the EMH sourly. "I mean, I just got this room prepped for corpses who died by as yet unknown means, sterile conditions, sealed off from the rest of the ship in case of infection yadda yadda, and here you are not only breathing in the gods know what from the corpses but also polluting my sterile room with the contents of your stomach." He walked around her to face her as he spoke, and peered at her closely. "You must be the new one, whats-the-name-Serranta, right? You can call me Doctor. Not Doctor Who, Doctor What or Doctor Thingy, just Doctor. Got that?" (reply Kyah) "So, Doctor Serranta, why the quarantine? Something interesting and very deadly, I hope. After all it would be a shame to have done all this," he waved his stick around in a vague gesture meant to indicate his preparations in the bio lab, "only to find out they'd died of old age, what?" He looked down at the floor. "And I hope you're going to clear that up before we begin the slice and dice," he added. (Reply Kyah, any) (Posted by Liz) (USS Mithrandir - Bio-lab 1 - ACMO Serranta - 1907) "You must be the new one, whats-the-name-Serranta, right? You can call me Doctor. Not Doctor Who, Doctor What or Doctor Thingy, just Doctor. Got that?" Kyah stared at the hologram, not sure whether a reply was actually needed or not. When he continued looking at her, she decided he was obviously waiting for one. "Yes, I'm Doctor Serranta. It's um, nice to meet you? " ~ this is truly bizarre, conversing with a hologram ~ "So, Doctor Serranta, why the quarantine? Something interesting and very deadly, I hope. After all it would be a shame to have done all this," he waved his stick around in a vague gesture meant to indicate his preparations in the bio lab, "only to find out they'd died of old age, what?" He looked down at the floor. "And I hope you're going to clear that up before we begin the slice and dice," he added. Kyah flushed with embarrassment, although she did feel slightly relieved that it was the hologram and not Dr Ari that she had made a fool of herself in front of. ~ now why does this doctor remind me of Captain Stakes~ "Of course I'll clean up after myself. Do you really think I'd just leave it there?" She hesitated for a second before continuing. "As to what they died of, that’s why I bought them back. Our tricorders weren't working properly, so apart from guess work, there was no way of trying to determine what caused their deaths. I have a sample of some liquid, possibly wine, that one of them had been drinking. I'd like to test that." (reply whatshisface?) "As for slicing and dicing, well I think with the technology we have there is little call for any of that, don't you? Now, if you'd like to help me, I have to at least get a few ideas of what happened to these men to take to a meeting in about...... 20 minutes." (reply?) ~as for the decon thing, well...... I haven't dropped dead yet, so that’s a bonus, and I'm sure the biofilters will pick up any nasties~ Collecting some cleaning equipment, Kyah began the not very pleasant task of cleaning up her stomach contents from the floor, ignoring the look of disgust on the LMH's face. (reply any) (posted by Wendy) (USS Mithrandir, Sickbay, Doctor Jorsad Ari - 19.19) Jorsad was engaged in his research, he had been all day... he was following a line of research that could cure Lt Bracken, who was still in cold storage, at his instance. The ex-CSO was waiting for him to find a cure for her condition, no one else had the responsibility; it was his alone. "Dr Ari?", someone said, he looked around at the ACMO. It seemed like a long time since they had spoken during the Captain's treatment several days ago, so much he had trouble remembering her name, suddenly, he had missed most of what she had said... "I've run so far don't seem to point toward what caused the deaths of the two men.", she said unsure, starting at the Doctor who was racing to bring himself back from his research isolation... ~ Bio Lab? Wine? ~ "Um, I'm just wondering, well... what test you suggest I should run?", she said continuing without any promoting from the CMO. "Doctor... sometimes, you have to be direct. Test can only tell you so much... we have to get into the heart of the matter.” he said smiling and standing up at the same time... perhaps Cardassian humour wasn't appropriate but that was the way it is! (Reply from  Serranta) "The two men, are dead... we can't hurt them anymore. Let's head down to the lab.", he said and started walking to the door. (Reply from Serranta) "Meeting? But...", he dropped the gloves he was preparing to wear, the red items fell to the ground. He sighed and then went through the door, "Come on then!", said the CMO as the doors closed behind them. (USS Mithrandir - Sickbay - ACMO Serranta - 1920) Having cleaned up in the bio lab, and done a decon, Kyah had made her way back to Sickbay to report in to her superior. She was sure Ari would want to know how things had gone, even though there wasn't much she could tell him. He was in his office, engrossed in whatever was on his screen, and seemed unaware of Kyahs presence. "Dr Ari? I just wanted to let you know we've returned, and well........ I'm a bit confused about a few things. We've bought the two bodies we found back to the bio lab, mainly because our tricorders suffered interference over there and couldn't tell us anything, and have them in quarantine. I have a sample I bought back of something resembling wine, but......... the test I've run so far don't seem to point toward what caused the deaths of the two men." She paused, aware she was rambling and probably irritating the Doctor. "Um, I'm just wondering, well... what test you suggest I should run?" She waited nervously for the Cardassian to answer. (reply Ari) (posted by Wendy) (USS Mithrandir, Sickbay, Doctor Jorsad Ari - 19.23) "Doctor... sometimes, you have to be direct. Test can only tell you so much... we have to get into the heart of the matter.” he said smiling and standing up at the same time. Kyah was slightly taken back at the show of what seemed like enthusiasm from the CMO. He almost seemed as keen to dissect the bodies as the EMH, or LMH or whatever the hologram doctor was called. ~is everyone so blood thirsty~ "Well Sir, the.....um... hologram Doctor did seem very keen to slice and dice as he put it, but I wasn't sure what the correct procedure was. It just seemed a bit, well, barbaric in some ways." "The two men, are dead... we can't hurt them anymore. Let's head down to the lab.", Ari said and started walking to the door. "Um Sir, there's supposed to be a meeting, called by the Captain, in the conference room. And, well he doesn't seem the sort to be too happy if I was off dissecting someone instead." "Meeting? But...” Ari dropped the gloves he was preparing to wear, the red items fell to the ground. He sighed and then went through the door, "Come on then!" said the CMO as the doors closed behind them. Kyah watched him go, and quickly scuttled after him. ~oh damn, how am I going to sort this out~ (reply none) (posted by Wendy) (USS Mithrandir, Conference Room, Doctor Jorsad Ari - 19.29) They entered and sat down together, Jorsad looked for a moment at the Assistant Chief Medical Officer, his assistant, he knew nothing about her. He listened to what was going on but quickly stole a PADD from the center of the desk and accessed the service history of one Ensign Amara Serranta as he waited for anyone wanting to speak to him or inform him what was going on. (Reply from Serranta, Any at the meeting) (Posted by Anthony Keen) (USS Mithrandir - Conference room - a2O/OPS BJ Stone - 1930)   BJ entered the conference room on deck one with a cup of coffee in one hand and his PADD in the other. There was no one else in the room yet, which was nice. BJ sat down in a comfortable chair opposite the large window and placed his PADD on the dark wooden table in front of him. He should be pounding out an after-action report but… The view of space and the pin-pricks of light from distant stars seemed to twinkle back merrily to him. They were a part of him, as homey as apple pie was to most humans. BJ came from the Free Traders Society. Planeteers tended to think of free traders as space gypsies – a people without a home – but they would never understand the bond Free Traders had between themselves, their families, their clans, and their ships. There was something special about being a keel-member of a free trader ship. A Free Trader put their blood, sweat, and tears into their home ship. Children were born and raised, new systems with planets, populations, and trade opportunities were discovered, life was embraced, and free traders knew the real secret, the true secret of life. Life is a journey. Who you share life with, and who you adventure with, bring out the zest in life. And for BJ that zest for life was best spent amongst the stars, reminders of all the places he had yet to explore, and of the few star systems amongst the flickering jewels that he had found opportunity to visit.   BJ cradled his cup-of-joe in both hands, the heady aroma but a prelude to the invigorating drink itself. He sat lost in his own thoughts, thoughts that swirled around his daughter, his career with Starfleet, and the many twists and turns of life while sipping from his cup. He continued to stare off into space while lost in his own little world until the sound of the door sliding open brought him back to the here-and-now.   (Reply None) (Posted by Mike Barrett) (USS Mithrandir - Conference room - Ensign Jynea Kreung - 1933)   Jynea was wondering if the Captain ever actually went off duty. She was starting to think he expected her to keep his hours. She wanted to bash her head against a bulkhead. She was a morale officer, she went around to all shifts to see how everyone was doing, she was supposed to be the link between crew and counselling department, not the counselling department itself! She came into the conference room and was starting to get used to how small everything was. No shortage of closets on this ship, they just happened to use them for living and meeting space. "Hi BJ," Jynea said with a friendly smile before taking the seat as far from the captain as she thought she could get. "How'd it go?" (Reply BJ, any) (Posted by Lorna) (USS Mithrandir - Conference Room – a2O/OPS BJ Stone – 1933.5)   The door opened with a faint hiss as the ship’s counselor, Ensign Jynea Kreung, entered the conference room. BJ nodded in greeting as Jynea moved towards a seat at the end of the conference table.   "Hi BJ," Jynea said with a warm smile before taking a seat. "How'd it go?"   BJ cocked his head as he mentally ran through what had happened on board the yacht. “I think the mission went well Jynea. It was a little spooky on the yacht – kind of like being in a tomb – or at least that’s what comes to mind for me. There are a few strange things that happened with our tricorders, but we completed our objectives and Ensign Serranta will have a chance to study the bodies further in Bio-lab One.”   BJ paused for a moment to look at his empty cup and then got up from his seat to head over to the replicator for a refill.  As he approached the replicator he pointed to his empty cup and said, “Can I get you anything while I’m up?”   (Reply Jynea)   While BJ waited briefly for the replicator to work its magic he asked “So there’s a little get-together tonight in Hard2Port? Is there anything my daughter and I can bring with us to the party?”   (Reply Jynea) (Posted by Mike Barrett) (USS Mithrandir - Conference Room Ensign Jynea Kreung 1933.55)   BJ cocked his head as he seemed to think the question over.  “I think the mission went well Jynea.  It was a little spooky on the yacht kind of like being in a tomb or at least that’s what comes to mind for me.  There are a few strange things that happened with our tricorders, but we completed our objectives and Ensign Serranta will have a chance to study the bodies further in Bio-lab One.”   BJ paused for a moment to look at his empty cup and then got up from his seat to head over to the replicator for a refill.  As he approached the replicator he pointed to his empty cup and said, “Can I get you anything while I’m up?”   "I'll take a green tea," she replied considering whether she was supposed to work some sort of counsellorly magic.   Before she could make up her mind, BJ changed the subject “So there’s a little get-together tonight in Hard2Port?  Is there anything my daughter and I can bring with us to the party?”   Now that was something she was an expert on, "Anything that makes you smile and you think will bring smiles to the faces of others." She then grinned, "But no fruit!" (Reply BJ) (Posted by Lorna) (USS Mithrandir - Conference Room a2O/OPS BJ Stone 1934) “So there’s a little get-together tonight in Hard2Port? Is there anything my daughter and I can bring with us to the party?”  BJ asked of Jynea as he was retrieving the drinks. "Anything that makes you smile and you think will bring smiles to the faces of others." She then grinned, "But no fruit!" BJ laughed at the thought.  Tommy, who became drunk when eating citrus fruits, was fond of bawdy tavern songs and tended to sing them loudly and slightly off key when under the influence.  The thought of Tommy being a tad off-color while in the presence of Captain Stakes brought a gleam to BJ’s eyes.  He returned with the beverages and offered Jynea her drink. BJ was enjoying the counselor’s company and her refreshing sense of humor.  Shortly after he sat back in his seat with his cup of coffee the doors swished open again as Ari and Serranta entered and found seats.  They were quickly followed by Mr. Korn and Elith.  Almost everyone was present; they were still waiting on Sanok and Captain Stakes.  BJ knew Sanok was probably checking the security functions of the bio lab but he was rather surprised to note that Captain Stakes was running late for the debriefing.  The Captain put a great deal of effort into being punctual for meetings. As BJ was musing over the tardiness of Captain Stakes he was caught slightly off guard by Lt. Ari asking about the debriefing. "Mr Stone, I am afraid I don't know the others assembled, I am Lt Ari, the CMO... before the Captain arrives, could you give me the background to your away mission and anything that can help us with the two bodies we have in the lab before we get started on their autopsy would be very helpful.", he said before adding, "I am sure the Captain won't mind, he would know all the information already, I am looking for history as I've been out of the loop for the past few days.", he added and then cocked his head a little to the side as if waiting for someone to fill him in. BJ paused slightly to gather his thoughts and then leaned forward to rest his forearms upon the well varnished wooden table while he held his cup of coffee cradled in both hands. “Well first of all, let’s make some introductions, BJ replied with a smile.  Pointing first to Jynea and then to John, BJ introduced the two new ensigns to Ari.  “This is Ensign Jynea Kreung, our new ship’s counselor, and this here is Ensign John Korn, our ACSO.  Jynea and John, this is Lt. Ari, our Ship’s Chief Medical Officer, as he noted a moment ago.”  With a quick flash of a smile BJ continued with a nod towards Ensign Serranta and said, “I’ll assume you already know Ensign Amara Serranta, and I’m sure everyone except for possibly Jynea has now met our aCEO, Lt. Elith Rejal.” With introductions made, BJ paused for a sip from his coffee cup before continuing.  “Well Ari, we came across a small yacht en route to starbase 29.  The yacht was running extremely low power levels and no life forms so Captain Stakes sent us over for a quick look and to place a navigation/recovery beacon on it. We found a pair of expired Gorde’an on board the yacht but neither Doctor Serranta nor Mr. Sanok was able to extract any information from their tricorders while attempting to scan the two deceased crewmen. We also found a few anomalies aboard the yacht and within the ship’s logs.  Amara recommended we transport the bodies over to the Mith so we could examine them.  We sent the Gorde’an bodies over to the bio lab 1 as it has a level 10 containment field along with Amara so she could get a start on examining them.  The rest of us went through the decontamination station and we are now scheduled for a debriefing with the Captain.” BJ looked around at the rest of the crew that had served on the Away Team.  “Did I miss anything?”  He asked, as he looked around the room and raised his left hand palm up, as if inviting anyone else to chime in if they had something to say. (Reply any) (Mike Barrett) (USS Mithrandir - Conference Room - Ensign Jynea Kreung - 1934.2) Jynea had never actually met a Cardassian before. She was trying very hard not to stare. She hadn't known any were even in Starfleet! "Please, Morale Officer," she corrected BJ with a smile, "I haven't finished my doctorate to qualify for such an august title." (replies Any) (USS Mithrandir - Conference Room - ACMO Serranta - 19.35) Kyah had spent most of the short trip to the conference room hurrying along in Ari's wake. The CMO did seem to have quite a fast walk on him, though his longer legs no doubt helped. She was growing more and more nervous the closer they go to their destination. Not only was she concerned about Stone mentioning her near freak out on the away mission, but now she was also worried about Ari. Somehow she had managed to give him a slightly wrong impression about the meeting, and was now wondering if there was any way to fix it before they got there. ~too late!~ They entered together, and Kyah was somewhat relieved to see only Stone and another officer present. Racking her brains, she vaguely recognised the woman as the morale officer. At this point Kyah hadn't been introduced, and she was a little concerned to see both officers glance in their direction. ~I hope Stone isn't filling her in on what happened. The last thing I want is a counsellor prying, even a counsellor dressed up to be something less threatening~ Jorsad took a seat, and Kyah sunk into one beside him, mentally calculating their position at the table. There were always certain seats that were better to sit at when you came to these types of meetings. It was a general rule of Kyahs to never sit too close to the head of the table where the Captain would normally sit. But it was also not a good idea to sit where you were in direct eye contact with him. She was relieved to see that, based on her theory, they had chosen two of the less noticeable seats. The CMO beside her reached forward, grabbed a padd from the centre of the table and sat back. Kyah cleared her throat nervously, wondering if she should say something to him or not, before anyone else came in. She hadn't had much to do with Cardassians, but had heard they didn't have much of a sense of humour and were known for their bad tempers. ~but surely it would be better to say something now, than wait for the Captain to say something and cause more embarrassment~ Kyah leaned slightly toward the Doctor, keeping one ey on the other two, hoping they wouldn't hear what she was saying. "Um Doctor, I think there's been a slight.....well, I didn't really make myself clear. Um, I think....well, I think this meeting is a debriefing for the away team members.." She hesitated before continuing, "But, well since it was originally you who was supposed to go, it's only right you should be here....I think?" She held her breath, waiting to see if Ari would explode at her. (reply any) (posted by Wendy) (USS Mithrandir - Bridge - Ensign Jynea Kreung - 1935) Jynea had stood with a smile and excused herself from the room to go find Captain crankypants. She was about to push the chime on his ready room when she was informed by Ops that the Captain was taking a priority message. She wondered if the first officer was in his quarters or prepping for beta shift or what. Not her job, she was happy to say. (USS Mithrandir - Conference Room - Ensign Jynea Kreung - 1935.7) Returning to the conference room, Jynea waited for a break in the discussion, "Looks like our Captain is having to Captain, maybe we should just proceed with the debriefing and send him a copy?" Then he could yell at her for presumptuousness and no one would be made uncomfortable with his broom-up-the-butt leadership. She looked to BJ, who was the ranking member of the crew in the room. (Reply any present) (Posted by Lorna) (USS Mithrandir - Conference Room - ACSO John Korn - 19.36) John was running through the halls of the Mithrandir to the conference room he was late though by little but still late. His only hope was that the whole away team wasn't there or his excuse that he was decoding that logs while he was sleeping....As he stood next to the door he gave a big sigh and entered the conference room. He started to look at everyone who was there. He saw BJ talking to the morale officer. Also a Cardassian who was a medical officer sat alongside Amara. ~He's probably the chief~ John sat down in a chair that was closer to the captain only to notice it later. ~Well at least he still isn't here.~ (Reply any) (Posted by Edgar Alik) (USS Mithrandir - Conference Room - aCEO Elith Rejal - 1936.5) Elith quickly walked through the halls, already slightly late to his meeting. ~Of course the warp core had a unforeseen fluctuation in the antimatter output. Thankfully the other engineers were able to repair it while I was away, but I wanted to check it anyway. Just didn't know-~ He sidestepped around a crewman going the other way. ~-that it would take this long. I hope everyone else isn't there yet.~ He entered the room to find everyone, including the CMO and the new morale officer, present. ~Oh. Great. At least the Captain isn't here yet.~ He was about to mutter an apology when Dr. Ari started talking. He quickly found a seat and listened to him. "Mr Stone, I am afraid I don't know the others assembled, I am Lt Ari, the CMO... before the Captain arrives, could you give me the background to your away mission and anything that can help us with the two bodies we have in the lab before we get started on their autopsy would be very helpful.", he said before adding, "I am sure the Captain won't mind, he would know all the information already, I am looking for history as I've been out of the loop for the past few days.", he added and then cocked his head a little to the side as he waited for someone to fill him in. He briefly considered saying something to start the ball rolling, but decided to let more informed persons fill Ari in. Elith only knew the basics, and was interested in having what he knew fleshed out. He was, of course, ready to say anything if attention was turned to him. (Reply any in meeting) (Posted by Matt Kirk) (USS Mithrandir, Conference Room, Doctor Jorsad Ari - 19.37) Jorsad was reading the bio of his ACMO, Xenobiology and Counselling, an interesting combination, he made a mental note to ask about her opinion of Cardassian cranial ridges and their evolution, but before that, she was whispering to him. "...But, well since it was originally you who was supposed to go, it's only right you should be here....I think?", she said, will a little apprehension in her voice. He nodded, "Ensign, there are two corpses in Sickbay, I need to know what we are dealing with so we have the best chance in solving this mystery.", he said once more and give her a little wink, and then noticing that that another member of the crew had arrived, he spoke up, loud enough for all to hear. (Reply from any at the meeting) (Posted by Anthony Keen) (USS Mithrandir - Conference Room - aCEO Elith Rejal - 1938) As BJ made the introductions, Elith thought, ~Hm, we have a new counselor? I didn't know. We must have picked her up at Zaretan.~ When BJ introduced Elith, he gave a quick smile to those who didn't already know him. BJ then gave a short summary of the mission, though he did forget to mention the logs. BJ looked around at the rest of the crew that had served on the Away Team.  “Did I miss anything?”  He asked, as he looked around the room and raised his left hand palm up, as if inviting anyone else to chime in if they had something to say. "I have something to add." Elith said, briefly pausing as attention turned to him. "A small group consisting of Lieutenant Sanok, Ensign Korn, and I went to the yacht's engineering deck to check the ship's logs, as the main computer was offline when we boarded. As I brought it back online, I noticed some tampering in the system. It turns out that shortly before the main computer went offline, some of the crewmembers tried to modify or erase some of the most recent logs; Ensign Korn can tell you more about the content of those logs. As for the tampering, it was pretty sloppy, as if the tamperer didn't quite know what he/she was doing or if they didn't have the time to do it properly. It was rather easy to see how they tampered with the logs and how to undo that, which I analyzed and forwarded to Ensign Korn." Elith would have continued, had Ensign Kreung not used his brief pause to state, "Looks like our Captain is having to Captain, maybe we should just proceed with the debriefing and send him a copy?" ~...Alright?~ "I have no qualms. I certainly wouldn't want to repeat everything I just said." Elith said and waited for the others' opinions. (Reply any) (Posted by Matt Kirk) (USS Mithrandir - Conference Room a2O/OPS BJ Stone - 1939) During the sidebar discussions going around the table BJ had noticed Jynea leave and then later return to the conference room. During a momentary lull in the conversations Jynea took the opportunity to say, "Looks like our Captain is having to Captain, maybe we should just proceed with the debriefing and send him a copy?" She looked to BJ, who was the ranking member of the crew in the room. BJ smiled back at her and replied, “Let’s give the Captain and Lt. Sanok another couple of minutes.  I know Sanok was checking the security measures for the bio lab and I want to make sure we include that information along with his input in our report.  Besides,” and he grinned as he got up from the table, “it gives me an opportunity to have a second cup of coffee.” He moved over to the replicator and before making his request he looked back at the other officers.  “Does anyone else want something while I’m up?” (Reply any present) (Posted by Mike Barrett) (USS Mithrandir-Korn's quarters-Ensign John Korn-2050) John was working on the decoding in his quarters, he was tired of the monotone in the lab so he changed it to his quarters. He was bored so he was thinking of what to do other then working. ~Wait, shouldn't I be somewhere?~ He laid on the bed in deep thinking and then it hit him. "Computer what's the time?" [It's approximately 2055] ~Oh yeah party.~ He got up and ordered the computer to turn the lights off as he left his quarters. (USS Mithrandir – Hard2Port – a2O/OPS BJ Stone – 2100)   BJ made his way towards the Bar with his daughter, Telleenal, in tow. He had brought his guitar and she was carrying a small keyboard so they could jam with some of the musically-inclined crew members. It was good to see that a large portion of the crew was attending the “Team Building Exercise” put on by Mie Ling. Several of the crew members that played musical instruments were setting up in one corner of the room to do an impromptu jam. BJ waved and greeted crewmates as he snaked his way through small groups of people that were chatting until he was able to spy a very busy Miss Hikaru at the center of the bar.   Sitting on the bar, and working the crew members in his own special way, was Tommy Tucker. Telleenal saw Tommy, gave BJ’s hand a quick squeeze to grab his attention, handed him her keyboard, and then bolted in Tommy’s direction with a huge smile on her face.   BJ just laughed as he watched his daughter squirt through, past, and around the clumps of adults; there were, after all, certain advantages to being a child.   BJ stopped for a moment, somewhat surprised to see a holo security guard with a tray making the rounds of the crowd. ~Well, I guess that’s a unique way of providing security at a party… But it doesn’t sound like something that Sanok would come up with – I wonder where this idea came from?~   BJ swiveled his head around as he tried to catch a glimpse of Sanok amongst the crewmembers but the lieutenant was not in sight. Shrugging his shoulders BJ continued his quest towards the bar for a quick chat and to grab a drink before making his way over to where the musicians were gathering.   (Reply any) (Posted by Mike Barrett) (USS Mithrandir-Hard2Port-Ensign John Korn-2105) As John entered the party there were a lot of people in there he even thought that he was the last crewman to enter in here. He saw some of the crew playing on the instruments others were talking and whatnot. Also an interesting thing guards that were holograms. ~This reminds me of a nightclub~ He shook that thought off and saw BJ close to the bar. He motioned to him threw the people saying excuse me, sorry and other things. After some time he was at the bar and ordered a drink. He then turned to BJ and also noticed a guitar and a keyboard. He patted BJ to get his attention. "Some party eh? Also It's nice to know that you're a pro at music. Playing both the keyboard and guitar." (Reply by BJ,any) (Posted by Edgar Alik) (USS Mithrandir-Hard2Port-a2O/OPS BJ Stone -2106) BJ was at the bar getting an iced tea with lemon when he noticed John making his way towards the bar through the mingling groups of the Mith’s crew.  Ensign Korn caught BJ’s eye and tossed a quick wave which BJ returned.  Mie Ling would definitely have a right to feel proud of the turnout for the “team-building exercise” she had set up. BJ was happily impressed. BJ and a few others were listening to Ronnie Gibson, a shuttle/small craft mechanic, sharing about a trip he’d made to Sigmous IV.  From Ronnie’s description of the few days he’d spent there it sounded like a fun planet to check out the next time he had an opportunity for some leave. BJ felt a pat on his arm and turned to see John standing next to him near the bar.  Ensign Korn leaned towards BJ and said, "Some party eh?  Also it’s nice to know that you're a pro at music - playing both the keyboard and guitar." BJ tossed a grin at John.  “The keyboard belongs to my daughter, Telleenal, she’s  gabbing with Tommy at the end of the bar over there,” BJ said, pointing to both Tommy Tucker, Mie Ling’s furry Psammead, and his young Rigelian daughter Telleenal.  “But I do play the guitar and harmonica,” BJ continued and then paused to take a sip of his drink. “So do you play or sing?”  BJ asked of John.  “You’re more than welcome to come over and jam with us if you’re into music.” (Reply by Ensign Korn, any) (Posted by Mike Barrett) (USS Mithrandir - Hard2Port - SP Hawke - 2107) “So do you play or sing?” Hawke overheard someone in Hard2Port saying. "Me?" said Ezekiel, "I do neither. _I_ listen. It's a lost art, list'nin', don'tcha think?" The sometimes abrasively 'Southern' American had a drink in each hand -- one synthehol and the other a 'home brew'. He had finally found a suitably secluded section of the oh-too-small vessel in which to hide a respectable still. ~Sure, Starch-Arch'll be ... well ... arch when he finds the thing but a man of his years has t'expect that a man of my years'll do these things...~ thought Hawke. "So... anyone ever thought about the drinkin' hole being on the sinister side of the ship?" Hawke mused. "Think that was intentional?" (Reply any) (Posted by Frank)
