"We found something that might be interesting to you." The MXO looked at his HUD and the information being posted about the speaker. It was one of the Marine Guard, whom he had gotten into the act as far as this search. They were no longer simply searching the armory, they were also digging into personal records and logs from the last three weeks. "Meet me in my office promptly," he said. He turned to the CE's and nodded a head. The full visual inventory of the Armory was continuing, as was the search through every log of every person who had ever stepped foot within five feet of the Armory door. It would take a while, if they had that long. ==================================== (USS Boudicca - Marine Center, MXO's Office - Major 'Spider' Drizzt - 1846) ==================================== The Marine Guard, Torvlev by name, walked into Spider's office looking grim. Spider knew this man, he looked grim even on a sunny day... but this time, he looked far worse. ~Wonderful, I'm going to love this, I can tell.~ The Marine had a PADD in his hand, but came to attention before doing anything else. "At ease and get on with it." The MXO growled. "Sir, the weapons are not the only thing missing." He handed over the PADD. Spider's eyebrow, a trimmed white mass of hair, quirked ever higher as the Guard placed his hands behind his back... with his eyes straight ahead. "Sir, Two vials of detradydrazine are also missing, along with a chemical detonator." Spider, a Combat Engineer and more then aware of what detradydrazine (DDZ) was, slowly took the PADD from the desk and moved it closer to him. "You are telling me, Marine, that someone not only got into the Marine Armory, but broke into the special lockdown for CE equipment?" "Yes.. Sir. That is exactly what I'm saying." "I trust you are aware of what those two vials are?" Spider asked, already knowing the answer. The Marine paused anyway, "Sir, those two vials of DDZ in the right places could blow this ship to pieces." The Guard, if it was possible, looked even more grim. Spider couldn't blame him; this was a problem on a whole new level from what they were dealing with before. "And there is more, Sir. Medical readings have discovered very light traces of Kayolane in the mandatory blood samples of one Marine. It was too light to be picked up on a normal pass-scan, only intensive digging found it at all" Spider quirked his head, "Kayolane?" "A Sedative sir, nearly undetectable, very powerful. One of it's side-effects is the wiping of short-term memory. Most recipients don't remember being drugged at all. And Sir, that Marine was found sleeping on duty seven nights ago." Spider remembered that incident; the Marine was currently on review. It had been considered a simple case, not an act of sabotage or treachery. Again, this brought it to a whole new level, now they had cursory evidence that someone had put an Armory guard to sleep in order to access the Armory. Spider rubbed his jaw, "I trust you are already running a search for everyone in the Marine Center during the hours he was 'asleep'?" "Yessir, it will take another twenty minutes or so." "Let me know immediately." He stood up and placed his hands on the desk, "Find that explosive compound, Mr. Torvlev, and find it quickly." The guard came to attention and then left the room without another word. Spider sat back down in the chair, his eyes ablaze with anger. He tapped his badge, "Drizzt to Straton, we have a new problem." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mission: Dream of the Past, Day 10 Stardates: 2406.10.19 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ==================================== (USS Boudicca, Personal Quarters, COUNS Dr. Domini Alizara, 0021) ==================================== "Major, Counselor," Ryko said, removing his mask. "Would either of you mind telling me what the hell happened here?" Ryko asked. "I'd like to know why you aren't in your Quarters resting like I ordered you to." Domini countered. "The last time I checked I was a superior officer. I thought I told you to let your assistant handle things." She frowned, looking through him. "Your blocks are yet again improperly seated, Mr. Skylynx." Ryko let the Counselor's criticism swoosh over his head. "With all due respect, counselor, Major Straton did ask for me, and Ensign Fredericks is otherwise engaged on the bridge. The Security crew is already tightly stretched accross the ship assisting the marines in watchdog duty. If I took ensign Fredericks off the bridge, this ship would be left defenseless," Ryko retorted, as respectfully as he could. ::No wonder he's acting like a fool.::, Ryko heard, very faintly. He allowed his facial expression to change. The only indication that he had recieved this weak message. "As you said, counselor, My mental blocks are once again improperly seated." Domini interrupted. "As to what we are doing here, it appears that we have another attack. He was scared. Very very scared." She said. "I sensed it a couple of decks away, he must have had some latent telepathic ability. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the sensitives on board did." She frowned at the tricorder data. "We're losing him!" One of the EMTs said. "Sir," came one of the security officer's voices from a nearby jefferies tube entrance. "I think you'd better take a look at this," he finished. Ryko looked at Straton and went to the crewman's request while she talked to the counselor. The hatch was sealed. Magnetically. "Who sealed this access port?" was Ryko's first question. One of the orderlies looked at him. "I did," he replied. Ryko walked over to him. "Why?" he demanded simply. "I heard noises coming from inside the tube. Not speaking, but clanging. It was unnerving just listening to them." ~Clanging?~ Ryko thought. His face went blank. ~Oh, no, not now.~ "Can you override the clamp?" Ryko asked hurriedly. If what he feared was true, this was the worst time for it. "No sir, it'll have to be physically removed." "That would be entirely unnacceptable James, considering the only means of doing so is vaporising this door." Ryko slapped his badge. "Skylynx to Fredericks," he said. (Reply Fredericks) "I could use a hand with the Sickbay Jefferies tube, can you isolate and shut down the magnetic lock?" Ryko asked, still kneeling next to the hatch. (Reply Fredericks) "Thanks. Skylynx Out." Ryko waited for about 5 seconds, and the door gave a slight "whoosh". ~Great job, John, alright, let's see what's going on.~ "Much better than phasering it out of existence," Ryko said, and swung the door open. "What the hell?" Ryko said as he opened the hatch. "Major, could you take a look at this?" he added. The tube was a total mess. There were computer components and pipes hanging around the place. (Reply Straton) "I have no idea," Ryko said as the major approached. Where normally there was a jefferies tube, there was a mess of wiring and gas. Ryko replaced his mask. "Someone alert engineering. James, come with me. Let's see if whoever, or whatever did this is still here." Ryko crawled into the tube, followed by James. The Environmental Protection suit shielded him from the gas, but he would nevertheless have felt safer inside a BDU. He cautiously advanced forward. The destruction ended abruptly, immediately changing to pristine tunnelling. He opened a comm channel back to Straton. "Major, I don't know why this ends the way it does, but it scores a 9.5 on my wierd stuff-o-meter," Ryko said. (reply Straton) "I'm not sure. The Tube is a total mess for about 20 metres, then when it reaches the junction, everything's normal. It's as though there was an explosion here, but there's nothing to suggest it. No burnt ash, no scorch marks, nada," Ryko replied. ==================================== (USS Boudicca, Science Labs, MCO, Major Straton, 0022) ==================================== Eva simply stood and watched the exchange between Domini and Skylynx. It was not her place to interfere with the Counselors job. ::No wonder he's acting like a fool.:: Domini sent. Eva raised her brow and simply inclined her head. She watched quietly as Domini and the EMT's worked on the scientist. She was no medic, so she stayed out of the way. She noticed Skylynx and his men moving to investigate the area, again she let them and stayed out their way. This was their turf not hers. "Major, could you take a look at this?" Skylynx said after a few seconds. Eva walked over to where he was standing near one of the jeffries tube doors. She walked over with out a word and looked into the jeffries tube. Both brows shot up as she witnessed the damage done to the tube. She looked at Skylynx a question in her eyes. "I have no idea," Ryko said, "Someone alert engineering. James, come with me. Let's see if whoever, or whatever did this is still here." With that Skylynx crawled into the tube and started crawling down it. Eva walked over to one of the science cabinets and got a tri-corder. She walked back over and starting scanning the jeffries tube. She looked over at one of the scientists still standing around. "You heard him. Call engineering. Get a team up here now," She said, her voice hard as ice. The scientist jumped and ran off to call engineering. (Reply Engineering) =/\=Major, I don't know why this ends the way it does, but it scores a 9.5 on my weird stuff-o-meter,=/\= Ryko said, through a comm channel. "What have you discovered?" She asked, not really interested in his 'wierd-o-meter'. =/\=I'm not sure. The Tube is a total mess for about 20 meters, then when it reaches the junction, everything's normal. It's as though there was an explosion here, but there's nothing to suggest it. No burnt ash, no scorch marks, nada,=/\= Ryko replied. "Better come back and let Engineering look the area over before do any more damage to any evidence in the tube," She said, looking at her tri-corder reading. =/\=Hello, what's this?=/\= Eva heard through the still open channel, =/\=James, isolation container,=/\= ~He found something?~ Eva's brow rose slightly with mild surprise. A few second latter Skylynx exited the tube. "Major, do you know what this is?" he asked, handing her the transparent isolation tube. Eva took the tube and scanned it with the tri-corder. "DDZ," She said, her eyes narrowing. She was a trained CE, and knew exactly what she was looking at and what it meant. Her cold glare fell on Skylynx. "This is explosive residue. DDZ is an explosive compound CE's use to prevent ships from falling into enemy hands. Put in the right places, this stuff could reduce the Boudicca to a dust cloud. (NRPG: Jeremy and I haven't gotten to posting out that part yet, but it's absence was noticed in his post at 18:46. By this time, Security and the Captain would have been alerted to it being missing and what Spider had discovered. We will be back posting this soon.) (Reply Skylynx) Eva inclined her head, indicating that she wanted to talk to Skylynx alone. The two moved over away from everyone else. "The psychic attack originated somewhere on decks 8 through 10," She whispered to the TAC\SC, "It was over before I could further trace it. Our assassin is learning, but so are we. You will want to go over the eternal sensor logs to shorten our lists of suspects." ==================================== (USS Boudicca, Science Labs, COUNS, Dr. Domini Alizara, 0024) ==================================== "With all due respect, counselor, Major Straton did ask for me, and Ensign Fredericks is otherwise engaged on the bridge. The Security crew is already tightly stretched accross the ship assisting the marines in watchdog duty. If I took ensign Fredericks off the bridge, this ship would be left defenseless," Ryko retorted, as respectfully as he could. "I don't care if God Herself asked for you, Ensign, you disobeyed a superior officer's orders and you will be on report. You are a danger to yourself and everyone around you." She stated in a very flat voice. nrpg: heaven help Skylynx when she finds out he disobeyed her BEFORE Straton called.... RPG: Domini turned away, disgusted with the Ensign, and angry with herself. Then she had to aid the EMTs, and then she and Eva had spoken about the psychic attacks, and Domini had... taken a look at the damage. Since the scientist was not a trained telepath, the damage was not as bad as it could have been. If he was kept sedated, then she could repair it later. "DDZ," Domini heard Eva speak. Whatever that was, it didn't sound like anything that Domini had ever heard of. "This is explosive residue. DDZ is an explosive compound CE's use to prevent ships from falling into enemy hands. Put in the right places, this stuff could reduce the Boudicca to a dust cloud." Eva and Skylynx walked away from Domini while the EMTs prepared the scientist for transfer. This peeved Domini to no end, who frowned at Eva. ::I'm glad you trust me.:: Domini sent, turning away from the two. "Since I'm not needed any longer, I need to speak to Commander Graillik. Excuse me." She stormed out of the science labs, leaving the stench of scorched ego behind her. ==================================== (USS Boudicca, FO's Office, COUNS, Dr. Domini Alizara, 0035) ==================================== Domini stopped outside of Graillik's office. She rang the chime, and was unsurprised to see him inside. "Commander, I am sorry for bothering you, but can we talk?" She asked, the tears that she had held back by a supreme effort of will threatening to start. ==================================== (USS Boudicca, FO's Office, FO, Commander Grailik, 0037) ==================================== Lt. Munroe had left just a few minuets ago. Now Grailik was sitting at his desk, mug of coffee in hand deciding on who would and would not go on the away mission. He had already striked out Major Straton. She was needed on the ship, as was Skylynx. His door chime suddenly sounded, drawing his attention. "Come," He said, setting down his mug of coffee. "Commander, I am sorry for bothering you, but can we talk?" Domini asked, tears in her eyes. The trained counselor in Grailik quickly noticed the Lt's eyes and body language. She was deeply distress. "Not a bother at all Domini," He said, merrily , "Come on in and have a seat. Tell me what has you so upset?" ==================================== (USS Boudicca - Ready Room - Lt jg Trevan West- 0107) ==================================== The Half-Vulcan paused. "In either case, time is of the essence, but we will waste even more time if we go down half prepared. In that, I know I'm right, nor am I the only one that thinks as much." The Vulcan had also scored a point, very well. "This could go on all day. You do have a point, as do I. I will follow your orders sir, as always." With that he nodded and sat on the couch contemplating things in his head. Sevant took a deep breath and his face melted back into typical Vulcan calm. He tapped his badge, "Sevant to Grailik, what's the current timetable on the away team?" (reply: Grailik) "Very well." The connection broke, "I trust that will be sufficient?" "Yes sir! One more hour is more then enough. I bid you good day sir." Replied TRevan and he exited the ready room and headed back down to Engineering to complete his tasks. ==================================== (USS Boudicca - Ready Room - Capt Sevant - 0112) ==================================== Sevant watched the Engineer leave, and then slumped back into his chair. He carefully placed his elbow on the arm-rest of his desk chair, then bent his head down and half-supported, half-rubbed, his temple. After a few moments he straightened back up again and half turned in the chair to look out the port-hole. In order to see the planet, he would have to stand up... but that was the last thing on his mind. He didn't want to look at a planet that would so soon be destroyed. One that he was going to throw into turmoil rather soon. He hadn't had much free time, not since they had been thrown through the Anomaly. It was almost sad how they all had been running around in a paranoid state without seeming to pay so much as a thought to the entire culture that would be extinguished within the next few hundred years... except, of course, that the Prime Directive could be best since they knew this society wouldn't live long enough to evolve. Statistics and Survival. Those were the two watchwords of a Captain in the midst of a war. Survival of the ship, that was the biggest... the secondary casualties were nothing but statistics. Sad, perhaps; but true and very essential. He rubbed his face as he considered his peevishly emotional response to West just a few minutes ago. He was coming close to needing rest, or at least a couple hours of quiet Vulcan meditation to clear his mind. Though he didn't book familiarity anymore... he usually would have reacted better then he had. It was vaguely disturbing, but not unexpected; his self-control still wasn't the best after the murders. It didn't help that they were constantly being thrown into combat situations; most of his crew were not warriors, even if he was. He would have to contemplate that, later, when he had time. And with that thought he turned back to his desk. There were small plans to go over, consequences to weigh. His job wouldn't slack until they were back through the anomaly. ==================================== (USS Boudicca, Ready Room, Capt Sevant & Major Straton, 0125) ==================================== Eva walked up to the Ready Room doors and pressed the buzzer. She waited till the Captain told her to enter. She stepped into the room, the Captain's bodyguard right behind her. She looked back at the CE as the door closed behind them. "Wait outside," She said, her voice hard. The CE looked at her briefly then nodded and left. She looked back at Sevant. "Can we talk, Captain?" Sevant put down his PADD and sat back in the chair. He nodded, briefly, then pointed to a chair without saying a word. Eva moved over to the replicator, then looked at Sevant. "Would you like something to drink?" she asked. The Captain shook his head as he folded his hands together. "What brings you to the Ready Room, Major?" "Herbal tea #4 large glass with ice," Eva said to the replicator. Grabbing her drink she moved over and sat down across from Sevant. "You've read the report on the science labs incident?" She asked, taking a sip of her drink. The Captain nodded, "I have." Eva nodded, still sipping her drink, seeming completely at ease. "Engineering is going over the area with a fine tooth comb. Skylynx is, I would assume, using the knowledge I gave him to reduce our number of suspects. Spider has the CE's left searching all locations the DDZ could be placed to destroy the ship. In all the investigation continues. I am keeping an 'eye' out for any more attacks." She paused to see if Sevant had anything to add. The Captain nodded, "Keep me informed, quietly." His face was a mask, "I want that agent, Major. Dead, or alive." "You'll have him," She said, taking another sip of her drink, her eyes on Sevant. "Probably dead, but he might get lucky." She smiled. Her smiled disappeared and she was silent for a moment, looking in Sevant's eyes. After a few seconds, she put her drink in her lap, holding it with her hands. "I'll be honest with you Captain," She said, her voice less hard, "I didn't come here to give you an updated report on the investigation." The Half-Vulcan quirked his head, "Continue." "You and I are a lot alike, Captain." She said, her eyes still locked with his, "We are both warriors. We both put our lives on the line so others don't have to. We are kindred spirits. Yet I sense that you carry a great burden. You hide it behind a vulcan mask, but it is still there eating at you. I've come as a fellow spirit, to lend a shoulder if you need it. An ear willing to listen or just to be a friend." Sevant sat back in his chair and looked at her. "I will continue to function as I have, Major, that is the purpose of my life anymore." "Function," She said, "That isn't living. That is existing. The two are not the same. We have both seen things, done things, lost things that others can not even imagine. I don't know the details of your past Caladryll any more than I suspect you know mine. I only know that we are alike. It might surprise you how much. I can help you live again, if you will only let me." The Captain considered her words briefly, it was becoming obvious that he needed more work on his shields. She was obviously a strong enough telepath to pick up leakage. He steepled his fingers, "My entire family was murdered, Major, in an attempt to make a point. By Doenitz and his forces, no less, before this civil war ever erupted." He smiled grimly, "My wife and I were fully bonded, Major, in the traditional Vulcan style. She was part betazied, the bond was exceptionally strong. As was the bond with both my daughters. You can.. image, I'm sure... the rebuilding I had to do within my own mind." Eva was silent for a few moment, but her eyes never left Sevant's. "Yes," She said, finally, "I can fully imagine. I too have lost those I loved most." She looked down at her drink and took a small sip. Then smiled a small knowing smile. "Yes, even I have loved once. It was long ago. Before I joined Star Fleet. He was another member of my Order. We were madly in love. Having been married to a Betazied, I'm sure you know how intimate that bond is. I was so very young. His murder devastated me for so long. He was murdered by a rouge member of my Order. Very rare, but they do happen. I was consumed with vengeance. I hunted him for months before I cornered him. I killed him. Got my revenge, but it left me empty inside. It didn't bring Jerall back to me. Nothing ever will." She looked up again into Sevant's eyes as she finished speaking so he could see the truth and the pain in her eyes. "You are not alone Caladryll." Sevant kept his hands folded together, he had long managed to control such small physical traits as twitching when he talked about his family. "I am not searching for a measure of revenge, Major. The person immediately responsible has been dealt with, and a mere Captain will never be able to touch he who gave the ultimate orders." The Vulcan took a breath, "I will survive, in the mean time, I have a job to do." "Revenge isn't the answer," She said, her eyes once more locking on Sevant's. "Neither is simply surviving. Your wife would not have wanted that. Neither would your children. You have grieved for them. Mourned them. It is not easy, but you have to move on past the pain and live again. Love again. It is the best way to honor their memory." "I will do my best," he said simply. He had had this conversation already with no less then two counselors. He would heal in his own time, at his own pace. "Your lying," She said, "Your holding yourself back. You push away those who try to get close to you like you've keep me at 'arm's length this entire conversation. You don't want to heal. Don't want to let go of the pain. Or you can't. Which is it?" He sat forward, his face still composed. "What's the difference?" he finally asked. "Either I don't want too, in which case I will continue with this anger and let it give me a reason to continue fighting. Or, I can't. In which case, the only thing I will be able to rely on is my job and my skills." He quirked his head, "Thus far, it hasn't impacted my skills." Eva leaned forward putting her face mere inches from Sevant's "Not yet, but it will," She said softly, but forcefully, "You can bet on it. It will cloud your judgment. Bias your decisions. Eat at your sanity. Plus, as long as you hold on to it all you will ever have is the job, and eventually that too will be taken from you. Leaving you with nothing but your pain and guilt." Sevant's face hardened, "Then I will deal with that as I come to it." he finally said. "At this point, I've done all I can do, I can do no other." "I disagree," Eva said, lifting her hand and gently caressing Sevant's cheek, her mind skipped gently over his mental shields like a light caress. "You've forgotten what it's like. Only remembering the pain and lose. You will remember. In time." Eva stood up then, looking down at Sevant a serious yet companionate expression on her face. She smiled a genuine pleasant smile. "Trust yourself Caladryll. Trust those who care for you. It won't happen over night, but it will happen." Sevant closed his eyes and slammed the strongest shield in place that he knew how to place. And while doing so, he leaned back and stood ramrod straight. "Major, you will not do that again. Not without permission, which is like to be never as any other word." His eyes blazed, first West and now a Betazied that he hardly knew. "Do I make myself clear, Major Straton." he said, hardly feeling any anger, just a very good dose of professional icyness. "Of course, Captain," She said, simply. His reaction was proof enough that she had accomplished what she had wanted to. Blew on any embers of life still in him. Now only time would tell if the fire would be rekindled. ~Not with out permission.~ She looked at Sevant silently for a few seconds, her eyes locked with his. Telling him silently, that she was not afraid. He would not scare her away and that it was not over. Then with out a word, she turned and left the Ready Room. Sevant sat back in his chair once she had left, his gaze remained on the door. After several moments he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, repeating a couple Vulcan mantras for calm that hadn't worked in a very long time. "Later, I must deal with this later." he said, putting it out of his mind and turning back to his monitor. ==================================== (Boudicca - Sickbay - Dr. Domini Alizara - 0343) ==================================== Domini giggled as the tattoos were applied all over her body. As soon as it was done, she looked at herself in the mirror and tried very very hard not to giggle more. The colorful geometric shapes started at the top of her forehead, similar to trill spots and then marched down her face, and sown her neck, and around it, forming a lovely necklace of shapes, then down and around her breasts, her tummy and her legs, as well as down her arms. At her wrists and ankles, they formed bands again. She glanced over at Haverstad, she wasn't as exquisitely decorated... but her head ridges were more pronounced than Domini's, too. Domini turned her face so that she could see her ears. Her skin was much lighter than it normally was, so it made her patterns almost jewel-like, her ears were now slightly pointed, her nails were longer and filed into points, and she had been given contacts which made her dark betazoid eyes glow with a purple and blue light. ~They are very pretty~ She thought to herself, pivoting so that she could see the patterns which decorated her back. She was handed the clothing, something called a thong, which she slipped on, and then dark hide pants, which were very soft and supple. The fit her like a second skin. She pulled on the high neck blouse, with it's jabot of lace at the neck, and then was helped into the corset type thing which was made of the same kind of hide material as the pants. She had to sit on the biobed to get on the thigh length boots with very chunky heels, which made her feel like she was on stilts. The doctor had managed to lengthen her hair to waist length, and put white streaks in it. It was very..floofy. She laughed then, and accepted the elbow length gloved the nurse handed her, of the same material as her corset, pants and boots. She was handed a very elegant ankle length victorian jacket made of something similiar to velvet, and a matching hat and muff lined with fur. Domini glance over at Maddie and Haverstaad and noticed that she had been gifted with tattoos lining her purple eyes, making them darker. Haverstaad was supposed to be a business person, but DOmini was unsure as to what she was supposed to be. The documentation had said that a lot of younger people were into 'Goth' whatever that was, and Domini's persona was of a well-to-do twenty-sumethin' who followed the trends. ~Though how this is supposed to help us break into a bank, I don't know.~ She sighed, stepping out from around the curtain to allow Maddie to finish getting dressed. She smiled at Fredericks and turned around. "So how do I look ?" She asked holding her chin high. (reply Fredericks) Just then Maddie stepped out, and Domini's breath stopped. SHe looked..amazing. Not that she didn't always look amazing, but wow. She was hot. ::You, my love, are beautiful.:: Domini projected, and caught Frederick's eye, knowing he would have picked it up. Domini grinned, accepting the phaser, the tricorder and the other pieces of equipment she needed. Tied to a loop on her pants was a small velvet bag with her identification, as well as a hypo preloaded with a number of different medications. It was all that she could do..she couldn't take a full medical kit with her. She nodded at her team as they headed for the transporter room. Before beaming down, she buttoned up her coat, and adjusted her hat and tucked her hands into the 'muff' ==================================== (USS Boudicca, Sickbay, FO, Commander Grailik. 0345) ==================================== Grailik sat on one of the bio-beds as a nurse finished with his cosmetic alterations that he and the rest of the away team were getting to allow them to blend in better with the natives of the planet. Sitting on bio-beds around him were the rest of the away team members: Lt. West, Lt. Munroe, Lt. Alizara, Ensign Rin, Ensign Fredericks, Chief Haverstaad, and Crewman Daniels from Security. Grailik took the mirror the nurse offered him once she was done. He admired his new face for a few seconds then handed the mirror back to the nurse. "Well done," He said, jumping off the bio-bed. He was already dressed in native attire, and with his new forehead extensions, now looked like just another native of the planet. He walked over toward the ward where the females were getting their more extensive alterations done. Apparently, the females of the species had not only the forehead extensions of the males, but a peculiar and detailed color patten running the length of their bodies. "How is it going in there," He asked through the privacy blind the nurses had put around the beds of the females. (Reply Munroe, Domini, Haverstaad IWY) Grailik smiled, as he turned back to see West, Rin and Fredericks were all ready to go. Grailik walked over to them "Gather all the modified equipment and meet in Transporter Room 1 in 10 minuets." He looked back toward the privacy wall. "The ladies will be joining us once they get done with their make up." Grailik smiled. (Reply West, Rin, Fredericks IYW) ==================================== (Boudicca - Sickbay - Senior Chief Melody Haverstaad - 0346) ==================================== Melody opened her eyes as a hypospray was pushed to her neck. She sighed as she wiggled her eyebrows and jaw. The surgical alterations, such as they were, were only obvious when she moved her brow. Her nose, her jaw, everything else was untouched. She didn't know exactly what she was supposed to feel, in all her years in security, she had never had to do sneak mission that required touch-up surgery. She was more oriented towards the Tactical side of Starfleet, not pre First Contact. This would be a first for her, though she had been trained for it in the Academy. She looked up at the Doc, "How do I look?" Haverstaad had been awake through the whole surgery; just a bit of local anesthetic had been required. That didn't mean, however, that she had a mirror following her around. (reply: Any) The Security Senior Chief looked down at her nude body and squeaked. "Wait a sec, none of the guys had these..." she gestured to her sides and over her stomach. There were colored patterns there, they went up her side over her shoulders... she assumed they continued up her neck. They also were on the undersides of her arms, they finished at ankles. "Sorry, Chief. Only females get these, males simply have larger head-ridges; unless, of course, they are in the act of reproduction. In which case, other interesting things happen to them, none of which we will be reproducing." the nurse said with a chuckle. Melody sat up and looked down at her nude form. "Wonderful, I'm a modern piece of Picasso." After examining herself for several more long moments, she sighed and picked up her new civvies... the clothing picked for her to wear. It was interesting, she would give it that. Somewhat conservative, but it had a low-cut top and some slits in very interesting places. From what she had been told, this was a business outfit, equally at home anywhere on the world. It had been tailored to her, there was enough room in the jacket to stuff some of their altered equipment, including an easily accessible type-1 phaser made to look like a personal music device. NRPG: Think Walkman here She slipped the clothing on; in that time one of the nurses had brought a small mirror. She looked at herself in the mirror with a quirked eyebrow. "Interesting," she finally said. "I look like the love-child of a Klingon, a trill... and that I got my head pressed in a vice." She fingered the ridges, they didn't much look like Klingon ridges, but that was the closest description she could come up with. With another sigh she started slipping on her temporary clothing, making sure if fit correctly, then slipping on the jacket and footwear. By the time she was done, she looked like the average native of the planet. She slipped on a small emerald necklace, an uncut rock hung by a simple silver-chain that had been a present from... someone special, long ago. She rarely wore it, it wasn't regulation for a duty uniform... but Emeralds were popular on this planet, she had made sure of that. This was the perfect opportunity to wear it. "Alright then, let's hop too." ==================================== (USS Boudicca, Sickbay, John Fredericks TAC/AST 0347) ==================================== John was trying to get used to the extra weight on his forehead and looking at the rest of the away team noticing that they seemed as uncomfortable as he did. Not too bad though he though although he never imagined his first away mission in quite this style. ~Should be interesting to say the least~ he said to himself as he gathered his modified equipment and followed the others to transporter room 1. As an afterthought he reestablished his normal mental shielding, ~no telling what we’ll encounter down there~ He thought, although he knew they would be back down again shortly. ==================================== (USS Boudicca, Transporter Room 1, FO, Commander Grailik, 0355) ==================================== Grailik nodded as the last member of the away team walked in. Munroe, Domini, and Haverstaad, looked nothing like their normal self with the detailed color patterns now etched onto their skins and their forehead extensions. ~Looks like a cross between a Klingon and a Trill.~ "Alright people, lets get a move on. I'm not getting any younger," Grailik said with a smile. As his team assembled around him, Grailik looked at the transporter chief and nodded. "Energize." ==================================== (USS Boudicca - Transporter Room 1 - Senior chief Melody Haverstaad - 0355) ==================================== "Alright people, lets get a move on. I'm not getting any younger," Melody looked at West for a few moments, then at the rest of the team. ~My, don't we make an interesting group.~ She took a place at the edge of the group, flanking on the opposite side as Fredricks, to provide immediate protection if it was needed for some reason. "Energize." the first officer said. The beam grabbed her, as it always did, and dumped her where she was supposed to be. Melody pulled out her phone and kept her hand on the 'talk' button. It's power settings had been set into the numbers, although only 1-5 worked. 'Talk' was the firing trigger. After several moments she put the phaser back in her pocket, there was no danger in the alley-way that they had beamed into. The worst she saw was some form of Dog, although the dog didn't look like the average pooch... more like a dog that ran head-first into a kangaroo and merged. It had some massive back feet and exceptionally perky ears. "Alright," the First Officer said. "The depository compound is two blocks east of here. West, Munroe, and Fredericks. You three scout out the west and north perimeters of the compound. Alizara, Haverstaad, Rin, and Daniels come with me. We will scout out the south and east perimeters. This is a reconnaissance mission only people. Gather information nothing more. We will meet one block north of the north east corner of the compound. Question?" Haverstaad shook her head, and then poked Trevan in the side. "Good luck, you." She smiled indulgently, though she was sure the smile could be misconstrued as a smirk. She could enjoy being a temporary civilian... it was an interesting part to play. ==================================== (Ceti Sigma IV, Kurgarian City, FO, Commander Grailik, 0356) ==================================== The away team materialized in a deserted back alley a few blocks from the depository compound. Grailik looked at his team, then pulled out his disguised tri-corder. "Alright," He said, turning around slowly scanning the area. "the depository compound is two blocks east of here. West, Munroe, and Fredericks. You three scout out the west and north perimeters of the compound. Alizara, Haverstaad, Rin, and Daniels come with me. We will scout out the south and east perimeters. Question?" ==================================== (Ceti Sigma IV, Kurgarian City, COUNS , Dr. Domini Alizarak, 0359) ==================================== "Gather information nothing more. We will meet one block north of the north east corner of the compound. Question?" Domini looked at Fredericks and Maddie. She hated to be seperated from Maddie for any reason. Domini nodded, and stepped out of the alleyway with her team, to a brisk cold wind that tore through her coat and made her wince, and a starless night. Almost immediately they were stopped by a pair of uniformed guards. "Your identifications, and your destination." They were ordered. Domini reached under her coat to the emerald velvet pouch, and had a gun pushed into her face. "Careful, Domina." She was ordered. The term startled Domini for a moment. She was scanning the surface thoughts of those around her, then realized what her outfit actually implied. ~Oh, SH*T!~ She thought to herself for a moment. "It's all right, Officer, I'm just reaching for my identification." She purred. "My friends and I are coming from a late night party... heading home to change for work. You know how it is..." She said, widening her purple eyes, and projecting innocence.
