Holding his tongue, H’Chir listened as the Counsellor’s raised voice intoned. “…Now, either calm down and tell me what the problem is, or leave and return when you're calm enough to do so. I really am not in the mood to play games." He daren’t move his lips for fear of releasing the anger inside in an unending scream of rage. The red haze closing in around him, the walls fading away and the sudden realisation that he was there; with another one of them. “I am not playing games,” he hissed and carried himself directly to his quarters, quaking with fury, rage and fear. (Reply Lloren, none) (Posted by Michael Drake) (USS Spectre, Counsellor's Quarters - COUNS, Divon Lronen - 1747) Divon shook his head as he watched the Andorian storm out. There was definitely something wrong with the man. He was behaving in an extremely agitated state that was completely unwarrented. Divon knew he'd done nothing. His shielding was up so high he couldn't even perceive his emotional state by anything but watching him. Suddenly, Divon was glad that he did erect his mental shielding, otherwise his already taxed patience and aching head would be pounding even worse. He already found himself feeling slightly worse than he was before my maintaining his mental shielding.   He couldn't let it go. Divon had to send a psychiatric report immediately.   "Computer, locate known telepaths in records and their positions on the Spectre thoughout the day," he stated aloud.   [Working... complete] ~Thank goodness for the tracking signals in those comm badges.~   "Computer, list known telepaths and strengths who were in the vacinity of Ensign H’Chir throughout the day," stated Divon, suddenly happy that there were only a limited number of telepathic species represented on the Spectre.   [Kyla Angeletti, extremely limited telepath, 1/4 Betazoid; T'Vhor, limited telepath Vulcan/Betazoid, stronger touch than distance; Divon Lronen, strong telepath, pure Betazoid, file ends.]   Divon nodded, it was pretty much as he had expected. He was the only one easily capable of 'violating' H’Chir and the idea that he would do so, or could in his current state, was ludicrous. "Computer Record Counsellor's Report, Ensign H’Chir, send a copy to my office files and one directly to Captain Ktell marked confidential," stated Divon aloud.   [Recording] intoned the computer.   "Ensign H’Chir arrived at my quarters on 2407.01.13 at approximately 1738 hours. He was in a highly agitated state mumbling excitedly about telepaths. As he never had a chance to tell me who had supposedly violated him, I will attempt to discuss the matter with the First Officer and the new ACEO at some point, two of the few other known telepaths on the vessel, both had come into contact with H’Chir in his area earlier today. I would assert at this point, that as T'Vhor is half Betazoid and half Vulcan it seems improbably that T'Vhor could have actually invaded H’Chir's mind. Half Betazoids only have limited abilities, generally confined to emotional reading. Ensign Angeletti is even less Betazoid, making it even more unlikely that she could probe him with any depth. I can assure you, that with the level of agitation and paranoia that H’Chir was exhibiting an emotional reading was completely unnecessary with a telepath, anyone would have picked it out.   At any rate, H’Chir came to my quarters complaining of being violated and he left the same way, this time accusing me. The reason I had retired to my quarters at sucvh an early hour was due to my difficulties readjusting to the mental patterns of the crew after having my mental shielding up for a prolonged period. The influx of emotional readings made me quite ill and it was necessary for me to raise and increase the level of my own mental shielding so as to preserve my own sanity and abilities. It wasn't excessively hard, once again, for any person, especially one who was trained in psychology and counselling to see H’Chir is acting in an irrational manner that belies classic psychosis and paranoia. This only, and has only, impact his duties.   As counsellor I am recommending strongly that H’Chir be immediately removed from active duty and be first medically examined. Often sudden psychosis is caused by physical trauma. If that fails to yield information, H’Chir must remain off active duty until a non-telepathic counsellor can examine him. I believe that having a telepathic counsellor examine him in this agitated state will only cause more damage and harm to his persona, unless he agrees otherwise. I do also believe, however, that due to the fact that his new ACEO has the potential for telepathic abilities and that he could, in his agitated state, make a crucial error, that he must be removed from duty for his own safety and ours until examinations and treatment is carried out. I would prefer the captain discuss this matter with H’Chir, however I will be forced to use my perrogative as ship's counsellor to remove H’Chir from active duty if successful action is not taken."   "Computer, stop, save and send," stated Divon.   [Complying.]   (Reply any, none) (Posted by Jeff) (USS Spectre, CEO’s Quarters – CEO, Ensign H’Chir – 2354) He’d paced for hours when he got back to his quarters. Unable to channel the energy coursing through him anywhere other than his legs. The hormones had eventually faded and his body had grown tired. All the same, his mind still churned. He lay on his bunk for hours, unable to sleep. Inside his mind, he paced. (Reply none) (Posted by Michael Drake) Stardate: 2407.01.14 (USS Spectre, Main Engineering – CEO, Ensign H’Chir – 1116) "I'm sorry it took me all morning to get here. I think that turbolift has some kind of 'officer who is supposed to be on duty' fetish." The ACEO looked extremely dishevelled and it didn’t take a genius to pick up the waves of scorn she was throwing back at the turbolift. All the same she was considerably later for the briefing than he’d planned and that would need to be addressed at some point – just not now. He hurriedly skipped through the information he had about their upcoming mission and was gratified to see his own frustration at the lack of solid information mirrored on her face. “As we don’t know what we’re heading into, the plan is to bring the ship up to spec as a whole. We’ll deal with specific requirements as and when we need to, but for the time being see how close to spec you can get just about everything. I… I have something to attend to.” (Reply Angeletti, any) (Posted by Michael Drake) (USS Spectre, Ready Room – CEO, Ensign H’Chir – 1126) The Captain had given permission for H’Chir to enter the room, so it was no surprise to find the Bajoran looking directly at him as he made this way across the room. All trace of yesterday’s fury had disappeared and aside from a rather tired countenance there were no signs of the wild emotions that had ripped through the Andorian less than twenty-four hours ago. In an uncharacteristically quiet and even voice H’Chir pre-empted the Captain’s greeting and uttered the only sentence he’d planned. From here on in the script became fluid. “Captain, I have been violated.” (Reply Remae) (Posted by Michael Drake) (USS Spectre, Turbolift 2 - First Officer T’Vhor - 1401) Standing in the tubolift, the First Officer closed his eyes just for a few moments as the lift decended to his required deck. Before it had arrived however, the doors slid open to allow the entry of another crewmember on their way to some undisclosed location. T’Vhor opened his eyes as the young female Officer entered the lift & spoke her requirements to the computer. The lift then continued on it’s way. The FO of course recognised the woman as Ensign Angeletti, the Engineer from earlier that morning, she smiled once at him & T’Vhor gave a relaxed nod in return. For a while none of them spoke, then the FO turned to the Ensign & remarked on the turbolift episode from earlier. "Ensign Angeletti, I have been asked to pass on the Councellors compliments in regards the work you did in solving the turbolift problems", said T’Vhor. (Reply Angeletti) "Nonetheless, the Councellor was most grateful for your prompt attention", said T’Vhor, "he is also a little more relaxed too, much to the betterment of all around him I might add", he added. (Reply Angeletti) T’Vhor allowed himself a smile in the Ensign s direction, it was something he as part Vulcan did not do often but occasionally his Betazoid side would allow such luxuries. The lift then stopped & Ensign Angeletti stepped out & carried on to her duties leaving T’Vhor alone in the lift again as the doors closed. Once again the First Officer had been confronted with a memory, just as before the female engineer had reminded him of someone, for a brief moment whilst talking to her he had been back on Betazed with his wife, there was something about her eyes, they glowed with such intensity just as Krystas always had. The first officer brushed the thought aside as before, preferring the unattachment of cold Vulcan logic to the sometimes difficult Betazoid emnotions resurfacing within him as the lift finally arrived at it’s destination. (USS Spectre, StratOps Centre - First Officer T’Vhor - 1405) T’Vhor walked onto the StratOps deck & paused at the impressive sight that befell his eyes. Then he walked towards the steps leading down to the command hub with it’s rows of tactical displays & strategic readouts. Seeing the StratOps busy with a crewman at one of the consoles, T’Vhor walked towards him & then stopped to the side of him until the Commander had finished the task in hand to turn to face him. "Commander", said T’Vhor. (Reply Tahlmari) The two men then walked off towards another room at the end of Strategic Operations. (Reply Angeletti, Tahlmari, Any) (Posted by Alan Reading) (USS Spectre, StratOps Centre – StratOps, Commander Tahlmari - 1406) Tahl had managed to requisition and aid, inrunning the StratOps centre. It was not quite as impressive as the original, commanded by Captain Lee, but it was jsut as useful. He had been having Yeoman Grant recalibrating all of the ships sensors to their monitors. He wanted to know where the ships they were meeting were at now, and where they had been in the last few months.   When he looked up he saw that T'Vhor was standing beside his bank of displays. "Commander," T'Vhor nodded.   "Oh, Commander," Tahl returned the gesture. "Welcome to my little slice of heaven. I'm glad you're here. We're just recieving some information about the incoming ships."   He led T'Vhor off to the other end of the displays. "As you can see, I have most of the tactical information of the ships from command, here. I also have the ships latest reports to the fleet uploaded and being analysed. I have the crew rosters here," he pointed to the third terminal, and reports on the CO's. Getting that information from the Klingon High Command, took a little bit of doing."   He looked to see that T'Vhor was perusing the information but he didn't seem to be all that interested in it. "So T'Vohr," he turned to a more familiar tone, as they were now alone, "what can I do for you?"   (Reply T'Vhor) (Posted by Al Muir) (USS Spectre, StratOps Centre - First Officer T’Vhor - 1407) As Commander Tahlmari read off the various monitors for the FO’s benefit, T’Vhor couldn’t help but momentarilly think about his wife. The chance meeting with Ensign Angeletti had certainly had a profound effect on him, his Vulcan dicipline was failing him for the first time in a long time & he knew he would very soon have to take some time out to flush the intrusions from his mind & regain a modicum of control. This was his Betazoid half of course, the passionate side in conflict with the cold logical Vulcan side, an unlikely pairing indeed & one that the First Officer knew was fairly unique within starfleet. The StratOps words however brought him back to the reality of now & here. "As you can see, I have most of the tactical information of the ships from command here,” said Commander Tahlmari. "I also have the ships latest reports to the fleet uploaded and being analysed. I have the crew rosters here," he said pointing to the third terminal, and reports on the CO's", he added. Then almost as an after thought he made comment on how difficult it had been to actually get the Klingon information. T’Vhor scanned the various readouts as they were shown to him, then he made a mental note of the locations of the various fleets, noting as he did so that his old ship the Paladin was now shown as nearing it’s intended target. "The USS Paladin is scheduled to attack Starbase 234?” said T’Vhor in an almost questioning manner. (Reply Tahlmari) "This will be a difficult target to take", said T’Vhor, "there is a blue giant in the vicinity, it will have somewhat.... undesirable effects on any strike force attempting to take it, stealth will also be a difficult state to achieve", he added. (Reply Tahlmari) "I understand Commander", said T’Vhor thinking of the difficult task that now lay ahead of his old shipmates as the both walked from the consoles & towards a quieter, less cluttered area of the StratOps centre. "So T'Vhor", said Commander Tahlmari, "what can I do for you?" T’Vhor paused & then turned to the StratOps surprised at his last remark. "Do for me commander?” said T’Vhor, "I was under the impression that you wished to brief me further on our tactical status in regards our current mission", he added. (Reply Tahlmari) "I see", said T’Vhor. "May I speak freely with you Commander?” he added. (Reply Tahlmari) "I have noticed that you have appeared to be somewhat pre-occupied with other thoughts", said T’Vhor. "It is not my business to pry of course but I would like you to know that I am always here if you need to talk about those thoughts", said T’Vhor noticing once again that the Commanders emotions were again straying quite obviously towards Captain Lowell & the loss he felt in regards her. (Reply Tahlmari) "It is true that we share a commonality", said T’Vhor as he allowed himself to become distracted by an alarm going off on one of the consoles in the StratOps centre. Yeoman Grant however was immediately on it & raising his hand to stay the resulting adrenalin rush that had just taken place within everyone assembled. "False alarm", said Grant, "a sensor tripped, it’s ok now", he added. The FO then turned to the StratOps & raised an eyebrow in typical Vulcan fashion, then he gave one further glance at the displays alongside him & then turned & walked towards the steps leading up to the entranceway. Briefly he turned to face Commander Tahlmari once again as he climbed the steps. "Commander", he said, "You have friends on this ship, please be aware of that", he added & then he continued on his way up the steps. (Reply Tahlmari, Any) (Posted by Alan Reading) (USS Spectre, Counsellor's Office - COUNS, Divon Lronen - 1606) Divon was just about to give up on the Captain when he passed through the doors to his office.   "Divon, how are you today?” the Captain said and he took a place where he did yesterday.   "I'm fine thank you. Typically busy with appointments, and of course following up on all the fall out from the beginning of the war. Yourself?" asked Divon. "Me? Busy, preparing for a lot of meetings, briefings and arrival at the border, but then, there is always something, duty-bound to do isn't there?” Remae said with more than a slight sarcasm. Divon cocked an eyebrow at the sarcasm. "We do have to make sure that we leave time for ourselves I suppose," replied Divon flatly. He wasn't sure whether the Captain was implying that he did nothing, or that he was frustrated because his captainly duties left him with little spare time. "Although, this is the life we chose. Do you feel any regret about the choices you've made?"   (Reply Ktell) (Posted by Jeff) (USS Spectre, Bridge - COUNS, Divon Lronen - 1925) Divon walked onto the bridge. He had started for it as soon as he received the word that they had almost reached their final destination. He watched as the ship quickly moved to yellow alert and soundless walked across the bridge to the seat to the left of the Captain.   He watched as the crew carried out the various orders of the captain. He seemed to be functioning well, but there was an... edge... to Ktell emotionally at the moment. He was unsettled about something and he wasn't the only one. Most members of the crew were simply carrying out orders, but there was a palpable nervousness surrounding most of the senior staff. Divon leaned over to the Captain.   "Sir," he whispered, "There is a general nervousness about the nature of this mission amongst the senior officers. Most likely because they don't know the nature of the mission. It’s only a matter of time before the other crew members begin to feel that as well. Is there anything you can relay to them?"   (Reply Ktell)   Divon nodded. "Sir, I should also ask, I thought we were expecting other ships to arrive? Are they late? I don't feel... anyone... else here."   (Reply Ktell) (Posted by Jeff) (USS Spectre, Bridge - ACSO, Lt. Yayla Nollys - 1929)   With her back turned towards the rest of the bridge crew, Yayla was involved in a work progress of her own. Meaning, no one had yet asked anything of her, and she was just as happy working for herself on her own as she was doing something someone requested of her.   However, as she turned to look at the view-screen, she saw the giant debris field floating around and in front of them. She pretty much knew what was about to happen, and was right on.   "See if you can disseminate the data & determine whether we are looking at the remains of a federation or Klingon vessel", said T’Vhor.   Nodding her head, she turned around and put her attention forth getting the answers. Scanning the debris field, she watched as the completion of the scan ended, and she worked on piecing together some remnants of evidence to tell the vessels apart. First, she noticed the signatures in the weaponry used. The phaser signatures were different than that of Starfleet, making her think it was a Klingon vessel. But then there was the difference in the hull plating...something she thought only Starfleet used.   ~Well that doesn't necessarily mean anything, they could've used anything to repair their ship. They are Klingons after all, not Starfleet officers....if that's the case.~   She then turned around to face T'Vhor. "Sir, I believe with the evidence I've gathered from the debris field, as far as scans are concerned, that it may be a Klingon vessel. But I'd recommend transporting a piece to engineering, they might be able to do a more detailed analysis as well."   <>   Turning back around, she went back to working on her previous works as well as trying to figure out more evidence of the debris field.   (Reply: T'Vor iyw, any) (Posted by: Stacey) (USS Spectre, Bridge - CO, Captain Remae Ktell - 1929) "Sir," he whispered, "There is a general nervousness about the nature of this mission amongst the senior officers. Most likely because they don't know the nature of the mission. Its only a matter of time before the other crew members begin to feel that as well. Is there anything you can relay to them?” said Lronen, he spun around to look at the Counsellor, it was a good point. "It won't be too much longer, Counsellor,” said Remae nodding. A very useful perception that he was grateful for, once again. "Sir, I should also ask, I thought we were expecting other ships to arrive? Are they late? I don't feel... anyone... else here." A few moments later, Tahl confirmed the presence of debris of a ship was in the area, the mood of the Bridge became all business as everyone got down to the job of working out what was going on. Remae was impressed, T'Vhor leapt into action, asking for a report and hailing their companion ships. "Sir, I recommend that we follow this course of action, we do need to ascertain the exact nature of what transpired here", said the First Officer. "Considering the fact also that we may be dealing with an unknown quantity, as indicated by Lt Nollys' scan, I would also recommend we beam any debris into a containment field until we can be sure that no contamination has taken place", he added. "Proceed,” is all Remae said, he was taking this chance to step back and watch the crew in action, so far, he was impressed and he took another chance, and he left the Bridge and he headed for the Ready Room. "Take the Bridge please Mr T'Vhor, alert me to whatever your investigation discovers, Counsellor. you're with me,” said Remae. (Reply from Lronen) Remae headed for his Ready Room. (USS Spectre, Bridge - First Officer T’Vhor - 1930) "Sir, I believe with the evidence I've gathered from the debris field, as far as scans are concerned, that it may be a Klingon vessel. But I'd recommend transporting a piece to engineering, they might be able to do a more detailed analysis as well." The FO turned to the Captain in responce of the science officers recomendations. "Sir, I recommend that we follow this course of action, we do need to ascertain the exact nature of what transpired here", said T’Vhor. "Considering the fact also that we may be dealing with an unknown quantity, as indicated by Lt Nollys’s scan, I would also recommend we beam any debris into a containment field until we can be sure that no contamination has taken place", he added. (Reply CO) "Continue scanning the debris field Lt", said T’Vhor turning again to Lt Nollys. "Report anything that might give us a lead", he added as he turned his attention then to Cmdr Tahlmari concerning their inability to raise either of their own vessels. (Reply Nolly’s, IYW) "Have the Asguard & the Bradley responded to our hails yet Commander?” said T’Vhor. (Reply Tahlmari) "There could be some interference from the engine core of the destroyed vessel, it may be preventing contact", said T’Vhor. "Boost power to the communications array & keep trying", he added. (Reply Tahlmari, Nolly’s, IYW) (Posted by Alan Reading) (USS Spectre, Bridge - COUNS, Divon Lronen - 1930) Divon was suddenly shocked when Ktell invited him to his readyroom. Had he said something wrong? The captain had never done this before. He would have to wait to see he supposed.   "Aye Sir," came Divon's only reply as he glanced around the bridge. Perhaps Ktell was concerned that the counsellor would get in the way, Divon had served on the bridge on his last ship before, but it wasn't a ship like this one.   Divon followed Ktell to his readyroom and sat down. (USS Spectre, Bridge - ACSO, Lt. Yayla Nollys - 1931)   After having reported her findings on the floating debris, she got a reply from the Commander.   "Continue scanning the debris field Lt", said T’Vhor. "Report anything that might give us a lead", he added.   Nodding her head, she flipped back around to her station and was already on it. Reporting her findings was only the beginning, and she hoped engineering would be able to come up with a solution as well.   Then there was the inability to get the other ships to communicate with them. Ships of their own, at the very least. Since they weren't replying to the Spectre's hails, she could also still safely assume the vessel could be Starfleet indeed.   Shaking her head, she contacted H’Chir.   "Nollys to H’Chir or Angeletti, please let me know if you find anything on the debris that might be useful in the way of my scans."   <>   "Thanks, Nollys out."   (Reply: H’Chir/Angeletti, any) (Posted by: Stacey) (USS Spectre, Ready Room - CO, Captain Remae Ktell - 1934) The CO headed for his seat and sat back for a moment as Divon headed for his desk, Remae indicated that he should sit down, as ever, the fluff fluffed itself out of the couch whenever anyone sat one it. "I appreciated your comments about the crew Divon, thank-you for that, it brought into focus what I was worried about and what has to happen next,” said Remae confiding in the Counsellor and extending their relationship beyond personal, Remae was now trusting him with operations details. "Tomorrow, we're going to be escorted to a subspace corridor just on the border and then we're going to cloak for a mission deep into the Federation that was, and now is enemy space,” said Remae. (Reply from Divon) "I need you to keep a closer eye that ever on the crew, especially the senior crew. I may be forced to fire on another ship, that is manned by a Starfleet Crew from Admiral's Doenitz's fleet, and I need the crew to follow that order, no matter what." (Reply from Divon) "I guess, hell, I don't know,” he said extending his hands, "Keep your ear to the ground,” was the best he could do. Remae wasn't sure we he wanted the Counsellor to do if he did hear of a sympathiser or someone apologetic to the plans of Doenitz, he couldn't imagine anyone being so, but what if the brother of the TAC/SC was on a ship they had to disable or destroy? What would happen then? (Reply from Divon) The door chime activated and Remae announced the person to enter, Remae was just checking some charts on his screen. "Dismissed Counsellor, thanks again,” said Remae and indicated the FO should continue. "Sir, we have made contact with Captain Renfrew on the Asguard, they are standing by to assist", said T'Vhor. "Carry on T'Vhor,” said Remae as the FO continued his report. "Two ships, one Akira, one Keltoi. The Moklar was lost but her crew, with the exception of the Klingon Commander were beamed off before it was destroyed", said T’Vhor. The mess of the ships floating outside was hard to miss. "Do we have any more information on our current mission Captain?” said T'Vhor. "The crew are somewhat eager to know where we are heading", he added. Remae smiled to himself, Divon was bang on the money, again. "We're going back to visit one of the core planets, Betazed. Take the pulse of Doenitz and see what is going on,” said Remae plainly. "Shall I ready the ship for departure?” said T'Vhor. "Yes but for 08.00 tomorrow, we'll have a full meeting at 07.00, now that we're rendezvoused with our escorts, we can get on with the mission at hand. Please arrange for all senior staff and tell them, that this is the last briefing for a while!", said Remae all too aware of the boring meetings he had to sit through, he no intention of keeping the crew coming meeting after meeting. "Aye sir", said T'Vhor as began to leave, "One more thing, keep the sensors peeled, get Nollys to send out a series of sensor buoys, I want to know if anything comes by here. and those results of the analysis, we maybe able to identify the ship that attacked, we have most of the weapons signatures of the entire fleet on record,” said Remae. (Reply from T'Vhor) "Dismissed,” said Remae before he said, "Captain to Bridge, open a channel to Renfrew on the Asguard and pipe it in here,” and few moments later, the Captain appeared. "Captain, we're prepared to depart at 08.00 tomorrow can you still be ready to escort us to the coordinates?” said Remae and for a few moments, he chatted to the Captain and the channel closed. "Computer, display the route via subspace river #54 terminating near Betazed,” said Remae has he continued to examine the charts. (Reply from T'Vhor, Lronen, Any) (Posted by Anthony Keen) (USS Spectre, Ready Room - COUNS, Divon Lronen - 1935)   "I appreciated your comments about the crew Divon, thank-you for that, it brought into focus what I was worried about and what has to happen next,” said Remae. Divon was shocked, this was the first time that the Captain had confided in him about command issues. "Tomorrow, we're going to be escorted to a subspace corridor just on the border and then we're going to cloak for a mission deep into the Federation that was, and now is enemy space,” said Remae. "I see," said Divon wondering if that escort group was now the debris floating before them. "I need you to keep a closer eye that ever on the crew, especially the senior crew. I may be forced to fire on another ship, that is manned by a Starfleet Crew from Admiral's Doenitz's fleet, and I need the crew to follow that order, no matter what." Divon nodded, "Well, I wouldn't say any of them are necessarily a danger, except for the one I reported to you before, I believe that they will follow your orders. I've had no indication of sedition at all." ~But anything is possible.~ "I guess, hell, I don't know,” he said extending his hands, "Keep your ear to the ground." "Well, Sir, it is difficult. We are fighting to allow people their opinions, its part of what the war is about. At the same time though the crew knows their duty and what is right. They also know you. As long as the command crew can keep them at ease, I'm not saying give them all the information, but just enough to keep them at ease, I think everything should be okay. I will pay attention, and let you know if there is something more than a conflicted mind but I won't invade minds to find things unless we actually find someone we highly suspect and you order it. I can't, it would be unethical. I hope you understand Sir," stated Divon earnestly.   (Reply Ktell iyw)   WIth that, the Captain dismissed Divon as the T'Vhor was waiting for a discussion as well. Divon nodded gravely at the First Officer as he proceeded back out to the bridge.   (Reply Ktell, T'Vhor, iyw) (Posted by Jeff) (USS Spectre, Bridge - First Officer T’Vhor - 1940) The CO had now left the bridge in order to recieve a priority one, CO’s eyes only message in his ready room & had been gone now for about five minutes or so, leaving the First Officer in charge. For a while there was relative calm on the bridge of the Spectre, the surprising situation that had unfolded around them was not what they had expected at all. The remnants of a vessel, two other conflict damaged starfleet ships & an area flooded with radiation from the exploded engine core of the unidentified vessel now in pieces all around them. As the bridge crew continued to monitor via their various stations however, Contact was suddenly established with the Asguard. It was sporadic at first but enough to get the general jist of what had happened. "Sir, I have contact with the Asguard", said the crewman manning the comms station. "On screen", said T’Vhor & the viewer suddenly filled with nothing but heavy static. "Can you boost the signal Ensign", said T’Vhor. "Negative sir, looks like it’s voice only for the time", said the comms officer as the voice of the Asguards Captain began filtering through. "Can you tell us what happened here Captain Renfrew?” said the FO. =/\=They came from nowhere=/\=, said Renfrew, =/\=An Akira class & a Keltoi, we held our positions but the Moklar was overcome & destroyed, we managed to beam most of her crew over before she went up, but unfortunately the Klingon Commander was lost=/\=, said Captain Renfrew. "And the attacking vessels, what of them?” said the First Officer. =/\=We took the Akira out, the Keltoi ran after sustaining heavy damage=/\=, said Captain Renfrew. "They will have attempted to contact other ships in the area, it is probably not wise to remain here", said T’Vhor. =/\=We shouldn’t be bothered for a while anyway, the Keltoi is running blind, her comms are down so we should have a little breathing space=/\=, said Renfrew. "Nonetheless, our sensors are being affected by the Moklars debris field, it would be unwise of us to become complacent", said T’Vhor. =/\=I agree=/\=, said Captain Renfrew, =/\=we are transferring relevant data to you now & are standing by to assist you, Renfrew out=/\=, said Renfrew. T’Vhor then stood & made for the Captains ready room to appraise him of the developments. (Reply Any) (Posted by Alan Reading) (USS Spectre, Outside Captain’s Ready Room - First Officer T’Vhor - 1945) After pressing the announcer at the CO’s ready room door, the first Officer waited until he was bade entry. (Reply CO) T’Vhor then walked in to see the CO accessing charts on his personal console. "Sir, we have made contact with Captain Renfrew on the Asguard, they are standing by to assist", said T’Vhor. (Reply CO) "Two ships, one Akira, one Keltoi. The Moklar was lost but her crew, with the exception of the Klingon Commander were beamed off before it was destroyed", said T’Vhor. (Reply CO) The FO of course shared the Captains concern for the lost vessel as both men surveyed the scattered debris field outside of the ready room viewing ports. "Do we have any more information on our current mission Captain", said T’Vhor. "The crew are somewhat eager to know where we are heading", he added. (Reply CO) The First Officer immediately took notice at the CO’s mention of Betazed, that was not expected at all. "Shall I ready the ship for departure", said T’Vhor. (Reply CO) "Aye sir", said T’Vhor as he left the Captain to return to the bridge. (Reply CO) (Posted by Alan Reading) -USS Spectre Star Trek: Freedom - http://www.startrekfreedom.com
