"Computer, how long until we're in transport range of the planet?" <> "Sir," Will said looking at the 'Captain', "Leave that Engineer to me. I'll silence him...."   (Reply Remae)   "Be right back," Will said as he headed towards the turbolift and entered.   ~This couldn't have worked out any better.~   (Reply Remae) (Posted by Will Banowsky) (USS Spectre, Main Engineering – Engineer’s Mate, CPO M’Rurrh – 1900) M’Rurrh’s ears pricked up and she stayed out of sight as the Ensign logged his call to the Bridge. She knew she could – and perhaps should – have cut him off mid-way through his first sentence, but the kid was asking some good questions and their current situation did seem a bit unusual. All the same, there were ways of doing things on a starship and logging a call directly to the Captain to question his orders was most definitely not one of them. As the channel connecting the young Ensign to the Bridge was closed, M’Rurrh stood close by him and stared, letting the harshness in her gaze and the authority in her stance carry the admonishment. After a few moments of silent communication, she opened her mouth to begin only to close it again as she heard the turbolift doors whisk open. She turned and looked directly into the eyes of Ensign Banowsky, drawing an imaginary line between him and the junior engineering officer. “Ensign, what a surprise! How can Engineering help you today?” She smiled her most amiable smile, letting her lips curl back over her incisors and waited for the storm to begin. (Reply Alternative Banowsky, any) (Posted by Michael Drake) (USS Spectre, Main Engineering – Alternative Banowsky and Ensign(jg) Grant Archie – 1902)   “Ensign, what a surprise! How can Engineering help you today?”   "Will" looked at the Chief Petty Officer and smiled a wicked smile.   "I'm looking for an Ensign Grant Archie," he said. Grant then looked at him and walked forward.   "Sir," Grant said nervously, "I'm Mr. Archie."   "Will" looked at Grant, he could tell Grant was nervous, and "Will" would use this to his advantage.   "Mr. Archie, I need to talk to you about urgent matters." 'Will said, as he then eyed M'Rurrh. She too would prove useful, from his study on the personnel of the Spectre, he knew she was the Engineer's mate, and she could probably get the enlisted crew to help hi,   "Chie M'Rurrh, I also need you to follow me, we are going to be going to my quarters where we need to have a serious discussion." 'Will said as he led the way to the turbo lift.   (Reply M'Rurrh)   When "Will" entered the turbolift, grant slowly followed him, afraid for his life and questioning his decision to contact the captain. At least he felt a little better with M'Rurrh having to tag along. Little did the both know, they would be in for a special treat.   (Reply M'Rurrh) (Posted by Will Banowsky) (USS Spectre, Main Engineering – Engineer’s Mate, CPO M’Rurrh – 1904) "Chief M'Rurrh, I also need you to follow me, we are going to be going to my Quarters where we need to have a serious discussion." Something wasn’t right. The ship’s Third Officer had entered Engineering and was now asking the senior engineer on deck as well as an errant ensign to leave the engine-room whilst the ship hurtled through a dangerous sector of space, and the Chief Engineer remained on a starship that had long been presumed lost on the other side of the galaxy. ~There are ways of doing things…~ The Third Officer was almost inside the turbolift, Ensign Grant following along behind him seemingly resigned to his punishment for his misstep earlier. Using her tail for height she drew herself up to her full height and looked her gaze on Ensign Banowsky. In a tone that immediately brought silence to the entire engine-room she stated tersely, “Mr Grant, you have not been relieved from duty. Return to your post.” She didn’t notice what Archie did next, all her energy was focussed on the Operations Officer who turned in the turbolift to face her. “Ensign, with Ensign H’Chir off-ship and the Spectre remaining at alert and in a hazardous region of space I cannot leave the engine-room. Nor can I permit Ensign Grant to leave his post. I will see to it that he is disciplined for putting that call in to the bridge.” She held her gaze level, not daring to flinch even for a second. ~…and there are ways of doing things.~   (Reply Alternate Banowsky, any) (Posted by Michael Drake) (USS Spectre, Main Engineering – Alternate Banowsky – 1905)   "Chief Petty Officer M'Rurrh, forgive my rudeness. Perhaps it will be more wise if I speak alone with ensign Archie, I see know that you had now participation in Mr. Archie's act. I will speak with him alone in the turbolift. Is that ok with you, Chief?"   (Reply M'Rurrh)   'Will' was rather upset. He had a feeling that the ensign would go along without questions, but he also did not anticipate that this enlisted officer would forget her place and speak to an officer in such manner.   "Chief M'Rurrh, we will only be a few minutes,"   (Reply M'Rurrh)   "Will" then entered the turbolift with Grant, and making sure it wasn't going anywhere, closed the door.   (USS Spectre, Turbolift – Alternante Banowsky – 1907)   "Mr. Archie," 'Will' said, "Next time you decide to pull a stunt like you did and go directly to the captain like that, you will be found guilty of insubordination. Do you understand? H'Chir is on a special mission to revive the Phantom."   (Reply Grant)   'Will' then pulled out a PADD, and handed it to Grant.   "This is a letter I received from H'Chir before I left. It states that he wants the power cut from the warp drive in 1 hour and 50 minutes. In there his reasoning states that he wants to check how well you all do in an emergency when he’s gone, getting the warp drive back online."   (Reply Grant)   "No don't. She already knows....Keep this to yourself. Oh and if things work out well, I am looking for an Assistant Chief Operations Officer" Will said.   (Reply Grant)   Grant then turned and left the turbolift, and Will then activated the turbolift to head back to the bridge.   ~Fool, he makes an excellent Patsy… an excellent Patsy indeed.~   (Reply Grant) (Posted by Will Banowsky) (USS Spectre, Turbolift – Ensign(jg) Grant Archie – 1907)   Grant was in the turbolift looking at the Third Officer.   "Mr. Archie," 'Will' said, "Next time you decide to pull a stunt like you did and go directly to the captain like that, you will be found guilty of insubordination. Do you understand? H'Chir is on a special mission to revive the Phantom."   "Yes sir, understood sir." Grant replied.   'Will' then pulled out a PADD, and handed it to Grant.   "This is a letter I received from H'Chir before I left. It states that he wants the power cut from the warp drive in 1 hour and 50 minutes. In there his reasoning states that he wants to check how well you all do in an emergency when he’s gone, getting the warp drive back online."   "Yes sir," Grant said looking it over, "I'll give this to M'Rurrh."   "No don't. She already knows....Keep this to yourself. Oh and if things work out well, I am looking for an Assistant Chief Operations Officer" Will said.   "Yes sir," Grant said, as he then turned around and left the turbolift.   (USS Spectre, Main Engineering – Ensign(jg) Grant Archie – 1911)   Grant walked out of the turbolift and headed to Chief M'Rurrh.   "Sorry Chief for my earlier discretion. Mr. Banowsky reprimanded me. I will head back to the cloaking device section now." Grant said.   (Reply M'Rurrh)   "It won’t happen again Ma'am," Grant then walked off, and gave her a wink.   (Reply M'Rurrh) (Posted by Will Banowsky) (USS Phantom, Bridge – Ensign Will Banowsky/Commander Steve Furrows – 1935)   "I'm nurse Douwsy. I don't know why we are in this predicament. I don't know how long we are going to be here and could you please put that phaser down; it’s making me nervous." "Nurse Douwsy, Chief Petty Officer, head nurse to doctor Andrew Williams. I've read your personnel file. Normally I wouldn't believe that, but after current event I can. I'm Ensign Will Banowsky the Spectre's Chief Operations, Conning, and Third Officer." Will said lowering the phaser "Well, Will I'm glad to know it’s you. I though I was the only one on board that were in another body." "Well that may not be the case. Regardless that’s another piece to the puzzle that just doesn't seem to fit." Douwsy turned back to the monitor. "I've got some of the sensors working but as it is not my speciality it’s not very good. I do have however two people in the cargo bay." She activated the monitor and the image of the cargo bay appeared. =/\=What were you doing with that tricorder, who are you and what are you doing here?=/\= "I don't know who they are but there seems to be something important in the cargo bay." "Shh, quiet! Someone’s on the bridge." Will said as he moved Douwsy behind the command chairs and ducked. Will looked up as he saw a woman and a group go over to another group... that just so happened to be made up of commander Tahlmari and Ensign H'Chir and another person. ~Well I'll be my uncle's monkey. What the hell is going on?~ "Put your weapons down," said Remae in his best Command voice, even though he looked and sounded different, "I am Captain Remae, of the Spectre. PUT YOUR WEAPONS DOWN, NOW," he said firing a short blast across the Bridge and into the far wall. ~No it can't be... can it? But if the captain is here, then whose commanding the Spectre?~ Will looked at Douwsy and then back up at the group. "Commander Tahl, do you have a tricorder I can borrow?" he said, walking carefully over to the Commander. (Reply Tahl) The person who claimed to be Remae entered some things into the tricorder and it proved his identity. The captain then turned to Will and Douwsy, "Alright, you, down there, who are you? Name, Rank." Will stood up with a smile, but then it quickly disappeared. "Commander Steve Furrows, well that’s the guy whose body I'm in. In reality I'm Ensign Will Banowsky, from the USS Spectre." (Reply Douwsy) "Sir, first things first... We need to get the Phantom operational. Whoever is responsible for us being here. Well the Spectre is now cloaked and no longer in the area. I don't know what’s going on sir, but between the few of us here we should have enough skills to bring this baby back to life." (Reply anyone) (Posted by Will Banowsky) (USS Phantom, Bridge – StratOps, Commander Tahlmari – 1940) Tahl and his group walked through the corridors of the ship. The oddest thing was, it was as if the ship were just going through its normal day. None of the crew appeared to be worried that they'd been missing for a long time. Not that they stopped to talk to anyone. Most just acknowledged his rank and let him move on. Once they got to the turbolift, things seemed a lot more normal, that is, until they got to the bridge. Tahl was the first to step out. There was a loud gasp from someone, and all heads turned. Phasers were drawn, and someone stepped forward. "Just who the Hell are you, and what are you doing on my ship?" the captain said.   "My name is Commander Tahlmari," Tahl replied. "I am an official representative of the Freedom Squadron admiralty, and currently assigned to the USS Spectre. Captain, I must speak with you on an urgent matter."   "Must you now," the captain replied. "Normally, a representative of Starfleet would announce his presence BEFORE beaming himself onto my ship, and then contact me once on board."   Tahl stepped toward the captain, to try and close the physical gap, in hopes of bridging the emotional gap. "I understand that these are very unusual circumstances, Captain, but I really just need a moment of your time to explain. Has there been any unusual activity on your ship recently, perhaps in a remote area."   "Captain Beal," came a voice from the side. It appeared to be the ships FO, a commander. "Do you know who these people are?"   "I don't know who they are," Beal replied, and then turned back to Tahl, "but there seems to be some thing important in the cargo bay."   ~The cargo bay? What's down there?~    Suddenly the other turbolift door opened and another group of people came onto the bridge. Tahl didn't recognize any of them, and figured that these were reinforcements. Now they were in trouble.   "Put your weapons down," said a woman, who was trying to sound authoritative. Tahl wondered what he was talking about since they hadn't drawn any weapons yet. Then he realized that she was talking to the crew of the Phantom. "I am Captain Remae, of the Spectre. PUT YOUR WEAPONS DOWN, NOW."   The woman, claiming to be Remae, fired her phaser into the wall of the bridge. Everyone jumped in surprise, but phasers quickly hit the deck. "What the Hell is going on here? You're not Remae," Beal stated, "Remae's a big, ugly Bajoran MAN. You're Danielle Conner, from my ship." Tahl was as confused as Beal. This woman, claiming to be Remae, however, seemed quite sincere. Slowly the wheels began to turn in Tahl's mind. It would make the last half hour on the Spectre make sense though. It would explain why the captain left the bridge at such a moment as he did, and why he acted so strange when he returned. Conner/Remae... whoever it was- Tahl was already getting a headache thinking about it- stepped over to Tahl. "Commander Tahl, do you have a tricorder I can borrow?" he/she said. Tahl, still in shock, automatically handed his tricorder over. If nothing else, it might help prove, one way or another, just who this person was. And if it was Remae, he'd rather be able to say he was more compliant. Of course, in that body, Remae did look a bit more pleasant. Conner/Remae hit some keys and handed it back to Tahl. Tahl looked at it in true surprise. Then he looked back at the woman, who could only be Remae. She had his command codes, and the tricorder recognized him... her as Remae. Tahl's jaw hung open a little. "Alright, you, down there, who are you? Name, Rank," said Remae walking down to the chairs.   The Beal stood a little taller, as he towered over the woman who was Remae. "I am Captain Steven Beal, commanding officer of the USS Phantom." He paused for a moment and squinted at his inquisitor. "Ktell? Is it really you?" (Reply Remae) (Posted by Al Muir) (USS Phantom, Cargo Bay One – CO, Remae Ktell – 1946) "Now what?" asked Remae to the person behind giving the orders. "What were you doing with that tricorder, who are you and what are you doing here?" Remae thought for a moment that he knew this person, the voice was different but not actually seeing the person raised the Bajoran's awareness to the fact that he knew this person. "This!" he said and jumped into the air, it was more instinct than anything, he launched into the air, back-flipped over the surprised looking officer and landed behind him. As he spun around, Remae blocked one arm, took the phaser and disarmed the man. ~ Impressive, this woman seems to be very athletic ~ "Now, I don't know who you are, but I don't belong here, this isn't me. or at least, this body isn't.", he sighed and said, "I am actually Captain Remae Ktell of the USS Spectre, not that I expect you to believe me." (Reply from Williams) "In any case, we have to get to the Bridge. I don't know what is going on but I intend to find out." he said walking out of the cargo bay. (USS Phantom, Bridge – CO, Remae Ktell – 1946) "I don't know who they are but there seems to be some thing important in the cargo bay,” Remae heard as the doors opened. Remae appeared on the Bridge at that point on one turbolift, and across the way, the other door opened to show the Spectre's Away Team, led by Commander Tahlmari. "Put your weapons down," said Remae in his best Command voice, even though he looked and sounded different, "I am Captain Remae, of the Spectre. PUT YOUR WEAPONS DOWN, NOW," he said firing a short blast across the Bridge and into the far wall. (Reply from Anyone) He looked around at everyone, he spotted members of the Away Team, Tahl, H'Chir and a Security Officer but there were several unknown people. "Commander Tahl, do you have a tricorder I can borrow?" he said, walking carefully over to the Commander. (Reply from Tahl) Remae carefully took the tricorder and entered his command codes into it, even the local subsystems on the small computer would identify him and they did. He handed the device back to the Commander. "Alright, you, down there, who are you? Name, Rank," said Remae walking down to the chairs. (Reply from Banowsky, Douwsy, Orde, Williams, Any) (Posted by Anthony Keen) (USS Phantom, Bridge – CEO, Ensign H’Chir – 1952) Reunited with Commander Tahlmari, H’Chir had been impressed by the Zakdorn’s no-nonsense interrogation of the Phantom’s computer. As far as the ship itself was concerned, the vessel had a full crew complement aboard, and they had set off talk to its captain – supposedly located on the bridge. In a bizarre moment of synchronicity, H’Chir stepped onto the bridge of the Spectre’s sister ship exactly in time with someone stepping from the opposite turbolift. The two parties eyed each other warily, each of the Spectre’s crew holding a phaser set to stun. The woman opposite Commander Tahlmari took a final assertive step forward. “Put your weapons down. I am Captain Remae, of the Spectre. PUT YOUR WEAPONS DOWN, NOW.” A phaser beam lanced from her weapon, cleaving a line between the away team and the rest of the bridge, and struck the wall. A shower of sparks erupted where the beam hit, and H’Chir immediately began calcaulating which systems and circuits had just been damaged. Commander Tahlmari and the trigger-happy woman – her rank pips identified her as a commander, regardless of her seemingly absurd statement – exchanged a few terse sentences, the outcome of which seemed to be that the Zakdorn accepted her claim. Incredulous, H’Chir followed the combined group as they stepped down the bridge to the occupied command centre. (Reply any) (Posted by Michael Drake) (USS Phantom, Bridge – CEO, Ensign H’Chir – 1954) The Andorian listened to the Phantom’s bridge officers explain their ‘real’ identities with a growing sense of surreality. "Sir, first things first...we need to get the Phantom operational. Whoever is responsible for us being here. Well the Spectre is now cloaked and no longer in the area. I don't know what’s going on sir...but between the few of us here we should have enough skills to bring this baby back to life." ~Bossy as anything! Sure sounds like Banowsky!~ “Actually, sir,” H’Chir forced himself to address the female claiming to be Captain Remae despite his eyes leading him to the two ‘Commanders’ present, “I have a better question. When we left the Spectre Captain Remae was still in command. At least that is how it appeared. How long have you been here, Captain?” Angling his blue face over to the Spectre’s Strategic Operations Officer, H’Chir narrowed his eyes and with satisfaction added, “And you, *Ensign*?” (Reply Remae, Banowsky, any) (Posted by Michael Drake) (USS Phantom, Bridge – StratOps, Commander Tahlmari – 1955)   Suddenly another person stood up from a monitor station, "Commander Steve Furrows, well that’s the guy whose body I'm in. In reality I'm Ensign Will Banowsky, from the USS Spectre."   Tahl stepped back. ~Another one? Just how many of them are there?~   "Sir, first things first," Banowsky/ Furrows continued, "We need to get the Phantom operational. Whoever is responsible for us being here. Well the Spectre is now cloaked and no longer in the area. I don't know what's going on sir, but between the few of us here we should have enough skills to bring this baby back to life." “Actually, sir,” H’Chir said, “I have a better question. "Captain, how long has this situation been the way it is?" (Reply Remae) Then he turned to the others. "And what appears to be the problem with the Phantom?"
