Day: 3 Stardate: 2406.11.12 (USS Phantom, Bridge – Ensign Will Banowsky/Commander Steve Furrows – 1845) (USS Phantom, Ready Room – Ensign Will Banowsky/Commander Steve Furrows – 1850) (USS Spectre, Main Engineering – Ensign(jg) Grant Archie – 1851) (USS Phantom, Corridors – CEO, Ensign H’Chir – 1856) (USS Phantom, Corridor – StratOps, Commander Tahlmari – 1900) (USS Phantom, Bridge – Ensign Will Banowsky/Commander Steve Furrows – 1928) (USS Phantom, Bridge – Nurse Douwsy – 1930) -=/\=- (USS Phantom, Bridge – Ensign Will Banowsky/Commander Steve Furrows – 1845) Will/Steve re-entered the office after looking around the corridor for a bit. It had a Spectre class feel to it, as everything seemed very familiar to him. However it also seemed that the ship he was on seemed to be dead. No sign of life, most systems shut down, only vital systems need to keep the ship afloat. Even the bridge was lifeless. A few beeps here, there. Will was very distraught. He had to climb up the Jeffries tube, and the only thing he could see was a Class-Y star... then he noticed something odd. ~That star looks familiar... No... Wait… That’s the same star the Spectre was sent to study... But how? Unless...~ Will quickly darted towards the direction of the captain's ready room, hoping to get a view from the window. (USS Phantom, Ready Room – Ensign Will Banowsky/Commander Steve Furrows – 1850) Will entered the ready room just in time to see his worst fears realized, he wasn't on the Spectre, the Spectre was right in front of his eyes. He peered out the window and saw his ship just sitting there; no, it was turning around. All of a sudden Will's heart sank when he saw the ship disappear as the cloaking device was activated. It was gone, and here he was stuck on the ship that he could only assume was the USS Phantom. "How is this possible? Oh man, this has to be a dream, am I in some kind of a coma, the Spectre was right there, and it’s gone. I was on her, and now I'm on this ship. Hell I don't even know where I am, I think I'm on the phantom, but I have no clue where the Hell I am." Depressed and somewhat exhausted Will sat down in the chair behind the desk; it was obvious this body wasn't as young as his. It was uncommon for Will to be other people when he dreamt, but somehow this was different. It didn't feel like a dream, it felt real. He had sinking feeling as if he should lose all hope, but if he did then he wouldn't be him, and even though he was in another body, Will would not succumb to feelings of despair. Noticing the computer on the desk was on; Will decided to do some searching. After one quick search he discovered that he was indeed on the Phantom, something that made him uneasy and scared. It was like something out that 20th century television show that his dad liked so much, the twilight zone. ~Well, I know where I am, know lets find out who I am.~ Will then entered in a search of the crew manifest for all officers of the rank of Commander, and low and behold his new face was the first one to pop up. The name on the Screen read Commander Steve Furrows, Strategic Operations. Interested to know his name, Will was too bored and depressed to read his new body’s bio. But one thing did catch his eye, a commanding officer's note. Will accessed the file interested to see what it said. It read: Commander Steve Furrows is by far one of the most ambitious, manipulative, and conniving officers I have ever had. He is untrustworthy and unfit to be anyone’s First Officer, Second Officer, or even Third Officer. Hell he would sell his own mother just to get his own command. He will also most likely never get it as no one can trust him, all the time anyways. Besides that he is a very brilliant strategist, and that’s the only reason why I have him onboard this ship in the first place. Of course he is always under constant surveillance, and I will never have less then two security officers watching him at any time. "Well hot damn," said Will after reading the file. "This guy sure is peachy. Well, good to know I guess. If I see anyone following me now I know why. Anyways, if this isn't a dream, I need to find the Spectre, and tell the captain what the hell is going on. First things first, let’s see if I can get the bridge up and running." Will then got up, phaser in hand, and walked out of the ready room into the bridge. (USS Spectre, Main Engineering – Ensign(jg) Grant Archie – 1851) With H'Chir gone on the away mission, Grant was scurrying about the engine room as he was currently the duty officer in engineering. He didn't really like being the duty officer, but hey, it was his job for the current moment, at least until H'Chir gets back. Oh well, he didn't have to do much, CPO M'Rurrh bossed around the enlisted men most of the time anyways. However something unsettling caught Grant's eye. According to the readouts he was getting the Spectre was heading into warp, and cloaked. Last grant knew there was an away team on the Phantom, and know they were heading away from it. Things weren't adding up. Well maybe they decided against the away mission. "Computer, what is the location of Ensign H'Chir?" he asked. <> ~How can that be......~ Grant then hurried over to CPO M'Rurrh. "Chief," he said a little too excited and worried, "We seem to have a problem. We're leaving at warp speed, and we seem to have left Ensign H'Chir behind." (Reply M'Rurrh) "Anyways, I'm going to contact the captain about this, see what is going on. I may not be command material, but this just doesn't make sense to me." (Reply M'Rurrh) "Anyways, carry on chief, carry on." Grant then tapped his commbadge. "Engineering to bridge," (Reply bridge) "Sir, it appears that we have entered warp and left the away team behind. I want to know the reason why my department head was left behind sir. Just out of curiosity, but even though he is kinda rude and gruff sir...we kinda like him down here; he knows his stuff." (Reply bridge) (Reply bridge, M'Rurrh) (Posted by Will Banowsky) (USS Phantom, Corridors – CEO, Ensign H’Chir – 1856) The transport had seemed to take longer than usual and for a moment the engineer’s mind pored over various possible causes of that peculiar effect. All the same he felt the slight shift in air pressure as the transporter’s exclusion field shut down and firmly in place aboard the Phantom. The overhead lighting was non-existant and for a moment H’Chir squinted into the gloom trying to determine who was stood with him. The bio-electric field tingled just at the edge of his senses. “Hello?” (Reply any) (Posted by Michael Drake) (USS Phantom, Corridor – StratOps, Commander Tahlmari – 1900) Something happened during the transport. Tahl wasn't sure what, but it seemed to take longer than usual. As the transporter effect dissipated Tahl took head count and realized someone was missing. It was Orde. He tapped his comm.-badge. "Tahlmari to Spectre, what happened? Lt. Commander Orde didn't transport over with us?" There was no reply. He tried again. "Tahlmari to Spectre, Captain Remae, respond." Again there was no reply. He looked at the others. "Did you all notice the transport?" They seemed to agree that something went terribly wrong. Shaking his head it suddenly dawned on Tahl that something else seemed out of place. It was the Phantom. For a ship that had been missing for as long as this one was, and which seemed to have no sign of life, it certainly appeared to be ... clean. No settling dust, not even signs of disuse. In fact the ship appeared to be under full power. Tahl found a wall panel and touched it. "Computer, where are we." [You are on board the USS Phantom, registration ...] "Stop," Tahl cut it off. "Is the USS Spectre still in sensor range?" [Negative. USS Spectre left the area at warp 5.] "What!?!" Tahl was caught between surprise and belief. He knew something was wrong. ~Should have listened to my instincts.~ He turned to the team, who had all heard Tahl's conversation with the Phantom's computer. "Okay people," he began, "looks like we're on our own. I don't know what's going on around here, but I do know that we came over here with a job to do, so let's do it. Hopefully, Spectre will be back for us." He pulled out his tricorder. There were still no life signs. He addressed the computer again. "Computer, where is the crew of the Phantom?" [Please specify. Crew compliment of 194.] Tahl was truly surprised now. "Do you mean to tell me that the entire crew is on board this ship?" [Affirmative.] "Is the captain on the bridge?" he asked. [Affirmative.] He looked to the others. This was getting stranger by the second. "Then, my friends, we are off to the bridge." (Reply any) (Posted by Al Muir) (USS Phantom, Bridge – Ensign Will Banowsky/Commander Steve Furrows – 1928) Will entered the bridge to see two people on the view screen and an Orion at the engineering console. Obviously she had come while he was in the ready room. Nervous Will raised his phaser at the girl. "Turn off the view-screen and walk away from the console." He said with a demanding voice. (Reply Douwsy) "I really am not joking lady, I aint in a good mood, and I'm in the body of a guy whose an ego maniac. I am not quite sure where I am, and if I am in a coma and this is all a dream, I really how Doc Williams can pull me out of it, or that Warren guy. I just don't like how this is shaping out." Will walked over to the command chair and continued aiming at Douwsy he began speaking before she could reply. "It's bad enough that I'm stuck in this body, on this ghost ship, with the Spectre of gallivanting who knows where and everything is just great!" (Reply Douwsy) Will continued to aim at Douwsy and he seemed crazy and upset. He didn't want to fire, and the setting was on stun, but after reading that there might be people tailing him, he was very on edge. "Sorry if I'm a little rattled, I've never been this mean before. Now as long as we are in this predicament of me holding you at phaser point, why don't you tell me who you are, and why the hell I'm in this body?" (Reply Douwsy) (Posted by Will Banowsky) (USS Phantom, Bridge – Nurse Douwsy – 1930) "Turn off the view-screen and walk away from the console." He said with a demanding voice. Douwsy froze where she was standing. She had not noticed the person enter the room. She turned and saw a man aiming a phaser at her. "What? You think you are having a bad day? You should try mine." "I really am not joking lady; I aint in a good mood, and I'm in the body of a guy whose an ego maniac. I am not quite sure where I am, and if I am in a coma and this is all a dream, I really how Doc Williams can pull me out of it, or that Warren guy. I just don't like how this is shaping out." Douwsy saw the man cross the bridge keeping the phaser amed at her. "It's bad enough that I'm stuck in this body, on this ghost ship, with the Spectre of gallivanting who knows where and everything is just great!" Douwsy backed against the console. ~Great, he is one of the Spectre crew. That's good to know.~ "Well you are not the only one, are you? So just put the phaser down and we can talk. Okay?" "Sorry if I'm a little rattled, I've never been this mean before. Now as long as we are in this predicament of me holding you at phaser point, why don't you tell me who you are, and why the hell I'm in this body?" Douwsy stared at him for a minute. "I'm Nurse Douwsy. I don't know why we are in this predicament. I don't know how long we are going to be here and could you please put that phaser down its making me nervous." (Reply Will) "Well, Will I'm glad to know it’s you. I though I was the only one on board that’s in another body." (Reply Will) Douwsy turned back to the monitor. "I've got some of the sensors working but as it is not my speciality it’s not very good. I do have however two people in the Cargo bay." She activated the monitor and the image of the cargo bay appeared. =/\= What were you doing with that tricorder? Who are you and what are you doing here? =/\= "I don't know who they are but there seems to be something important in the cargo bay." (Reply Will) (Reply Will, any) (Posted by Robbie)
