Hopefully this probe will get its usage." Sorensen replied. "Oh, well if that's all. That lowers the anxiety level a bit." The Science chief said with a grin "Yes. I will need someone to get down to the forward torpedo bayand manually prime the sensor kit just before launch." Kurt nodded. "If we had it activated already the power source would have been drained before we could get into position. Perhaps ensigns Alexander and Markell could be of some assistance?" "Good call, I'll get in contact..." he started but was distracted by the captain's voice over the bridge chatter. "Federation Raider, this is the USS Rome. Please state the nature of your business and intent." (Reply, any) ((Post by Cody)) (USS Rome - Bridge - OPS Ens Will Alexander - 19:07) Will entered the bridge a little worse for wear. He had been knocked back by something in engineering but they had been able to get the warp drive problem fixed. Still being knocked out for a few seconds he decided to check himself with a first aid kit and take a bit of a breather before dusting himself off. He left Ensign Merkell in Engineering alone, a sign of trust. He knew where he would be of the best help to the crew and that was on the bridge at the helm. As he made his way to the bridge he was finally somewhere he felt more comfortable. He relieved the officer at the helm and took his spot. He nodded to the captain and acknowledge that everything engine wise was back to normal. He didn't know what events he had missed but he was ready to do whatever was needed. (reply any) (posted by Will Banowsky) (USS Rome - Bridge - TAC/ASC, Ensign Michael Sorenson - 19:10) Michael watched as Ensign Alexander walked onto the bridge. He looked a little worse for wear, and Michael made a mental note to ask him about it later. Taking notice that Ensign Markell had not followed, Michael took it as a sign he was still in Engineering. ~ Good. That will make getting the probe ready quicker. ~ Michael tapped his combadge. "Ensign Sorenson to Ensign Markell." (Reply Markell) "I need your assistance in getting our torpedo probe operational. Someone has to manually activate it before launch, and as you are the closest to the forward torpedo bay that makes you the best candidate." (Reply Markell) "I'll guide you through it, and the specs will be on the console when you arrive." (Reply Markell) "Ok, when you are able to reach the torpedo bay contact me again." (Reply Markell) Michael failed to hear the ensign's reply, as he was watching the stranger who had walked onto the bridge and approached the captain. Michael noticed the man walk with confidence and purpose, and held his gaze while the newcomer surveyed the room. He returned to his console, finalising the probe preparation, and when he glanced up both the newcomer and the captain had made their way to the ready room. (Reply Markell) (Posted by Brandon) (USS Spectre - Ready Room - FO, Lt Cmdr Remae Ktell - 19:15) Remae rubbed at his temples with his fingertips in an attempt to ease the discomfort he was feeling as a result of the recent stress. OK, so the immediate stress was relieving somewhat now that the Ferengi had been rounded up and thrown into the Brig, but they'd done a damned good job of neutralising the Spectres communications array, its transponders and the phased cloak, which had made the ship virtually blind and an easy target to anyone that might consider them a threat. Why they had done that was a complete mystery that only they knew the answer to, the likelihood was though that they had envisaged a rendezvous with another vessel, since that would have been the logical conclusion to their act of piracy. Perhaps they intended to make contact with Sulia Madon herself, and that perhaps they had been trying to rig the system to transmit a unique identity code to exact that outcome. It was all supposition though, and it was doing Remae's headache no favours... The FO picked up a glass of water from the desk and then drank. Then he called for an operational report from the duty officer on the bridge. (Reply Any on Bridge) "Very good", said the Bajoran FO. "Notify me immediately we have those systems up and running again. It will be likely that the Captain will be trying to locate us also, so continue with passive sensor scans to see what's entering the asteroid field", he added, a sudden sharp pain hitting his temples once again as he spoke. "And contact medical. Have them send someone to the Captain's ready room please", he said, the pain suddenly becoming too much to bear... NRPG: An opening there for you Andrew if you wish to avail yourself of it. RPG: (Reply Any) (Posted by Alan) (USS Rome – Bridge – CMO, Cmdr Andrew Williams - 19:17) Andrew watched as T’Vhor and Warwick left the bridge and entered the ready room. He looked over at Palmer who was the ships second officer and for the ships seniority he should be taking command but Andrew was a Commander which out ranked Palmer which made it a slightly confusing situation. He had been first and second officer of the Spectre in the past. It had been an interesting time but he was glad the be the CMO. Palmer was deeply engrossed with the probe and its systems. ~Looks like it’s you~ He moved himself from the back bulkhead and sat down in the command chair. He let out a quiet breath as he leaned back. ~Let’s just hope nothing more crazy happens~ He tapped at the small console on the arms rest and began brining himself up to speed. (reply any) (Posted by Robbie) (USS Rome - Bridge - CO, Captain T'Vhor - 19:18) This newcomer 'bothered' the Captain, if indeed one of Vulcan heritage could ever really manifest 'bothered' that was. Ever since he had arrived aboard the Rome though, T'Vhor's Betazoid senses had piqued. Indeed, they had piqued the very moment the man had spoken over the comms. He was hiding something. And that was enough to bother him... Hearing the doors to the turbolift swish open behind him, and knowing that this meeting might be 'interesting' the Captain maintained his usual calm, his fingers running over the armrest console as he surveyed various readouts from upon it. And then the man was there. His demeanor very clearly changing within seconds of setting his eyes upon the Vulcan hybrid CO. "Captain T'Vhor? Uh, what are...I don't understand?", said Warwick. T'Vhor raised an eyebrow and regarded the officer now standing at his side. "Indeed", he said, aware now that Warwick's disposition had just gone from relaxed and confident to what appeared to be, deeply unnerved. "Perhaps we should take this to the ready room", he said, standing and then gesturing with his hand towards the corridor leading off towards the rear of the bridge. (Reply Warwick) The next senior officer on the bridge then took the centre chair, the Captain requesting operational updates on any changes before they left to discuss whatever it was that had brought Warwick to them. (Reply Warwick) (Posted by Alan) (USS Spectre - Sickbay - ACMO, Ensign (JG) Tj Rivers - 19:18) The bright lights of sickbay eliminated of the walls in sick bay, the staff in sick bay moved fast but methodically about there duty's. Doctors seeing patients nurses storing equipment and inventorying from there recent run in with the Ferengi. Everyone had a job to do and the organized chaos moved like the waves on a ocean flowing and adapting to each new case until things started to die down. Tj was in a small neat office set off to the side of the room which would normally be the office of the Chief Medical Officer Commander Williams who currently was not on board. Tj was reviewing the most recent list of people who had entered sick bay when a voice came over the ships internal communications system. =/\=Bridge to sickbay please have someone report to the Captain's ready room.=/\= the voice said making Tj jump as the sound that had disturbed the quiet ended. Tj stood from behind the desk stretching his mussels and walking into the main room of sickbay. "Rivers here, on my way" said tj as he made his way out of the room and into the halls of the ship. He walked down the halls thinking about the events of the last few days. he made his way to the end of the hall and stopped as the doors to the turbo lift opened, he stepped inside and the spoke "Bridge" is all he said. (Reply None) (Posted by Andrew) (USS Spectre - Sickbay – Chief Nurse, CPO Perses Douwsy - 19:19) Douwsy looked up from the data PADD she was looking as the comm call came over the sickbay comm system. She glanced around sickbay to make sure everything was okay with the patients and staff as she stood up. The door to the CMO’s office opened and she saw Dr Rivers exit and head towards the sickbay doors. A smile danced across her face as she saw the doors close behind him. She had not known Rivers for long but he seemed to have a good head on his shoulder. She sat down again and scooped up her PADD and carried on reading the report. (Reply any) (Posted by Robbie) (USS Rome - Ready Room - Strategic Officer, Lieutenant Commander Jonathan Warwick - 19:21) Jonathan stepped into the Ready Room in front of Captain T'Vhor. The reason T'Vhor walked behind Jonathan didn't fall blind to him. He knew that T'Vhor was suspicious. Jonathan was aware he needed to recover from his mental lapse. He walked to the Captain's desk and stopped. He assumed Captain T'Vhor would walk behind it. "Sir, please excuse my odd behavior on the bridge. Obviously, seeing you was a shock to me. You must be very curious as to my presence. I am Admiral Alexander's top strategic officer. I was sent, alone, to find you and your ship. Sir, if you would access my Raider's computer, its open to all users at the moment, you will find a Captain level encrypted message from Admiral Alexander explaining everything." (reply T'Vhor) (posted by Calvin Capps) (USS Rome - Ready Room - CO, Captain T'Vhor - 19:22) The Captain took a seat behind the table in the ready room, the newcomer, Warwick seemingly waiting for the order to take a seat himself. For a moment or two though, T'Vhor scrutinised the officer standing before him. What was his business here? Didn't he realise that there was a situation going on here, and that indeed the Federation had recently ordered that the Spectre be detained forthwith, or worse? Perhaps he did know. Perhaps he had been sent to procure just that... "Sir, please excuse my odd behaviour on the bridge. Obviously, seeing you was a shock to me. You must be very curious as to my presence. I am Admiral Alexander's top strategic officer. I was sent, alone, to find you and your ship. Sir, if you would access my Raider's computer, its open to all users at the moment, you will find a Captain level encrypted message from Admiral Alexander explaining everything.", said Warwick, as though sensing the Captain own queries. "It is in progress as we speak Lieutenant Commander", answered the Captain, recalling his earlier order for Kerge to download the raiders logs and anything else of interest. He had to admit though that he was intrigued now at the mention of his old friend, Admiral Alexander. Indeed, all personal contact had been lost between them a while ago now, and whilst the Captain had been concerned that he too might have become compromised, he had not forgotten their very special pact, nor the codes that they used to ensure that that pact had not become compromised. 'No communication outside of the agreed protocols' Was Warwick perhaps a part of those protocols now? Somehow, T'Vhor didn't think so and his suspicions of course, remained. After all, Alexander would surely have found some way to have alerted him to that if it had been the case. The Captain took a deep breath and then leaned forwards to place his hands onto the table before him. Then he finally bade the officer to take a seat. "Tell me Mr Warwick", said the Captain. "Does the Admiral still speak of his cabin in Ontario. And the Wolf he befriended" (Reply Warwick) (Posted by Alan) (USS Spectre – Bridge – Pilot Officer, 2nd Lieutenant Jennifer Smith - 19:22) Tapped at the console for the hundredth time. She was getting basic telemetry about where they were in the system and which way they were going but she was not able to have any direct control in their course. She paused for a moment as Dr Rivers crossed the bridge and entered the ready room. She then shrugged and began to tap onto her console. Her console beeped and she glanced down at the flashing icon. ~Great~ She tapped it as it showed a course change. They had recently passed into a shadow of a large planetoid and as she watched she saw that the Spectre was turning away heading deeper into the asteroid field. ~Ow this is wonderful~ She checked the new heading and shook her head. “Those clever Ferengi.” She stood up from her console and quickly moved over to the ready room door and tapped the door chime. (Reply Ktell, Rivers) (Posted by Robbie) (USS Rome - Ready Room - Strategic Officer, Lieutenant Commander Jonathan Warwick - 19:23) Two blue green chairs sat in front of the Captain's desk. Jonathan was currently standing next to the left seat. After a hard stare from the Commanding Officer Captain T'Vhor directed Jonathan to sit. Lt. Cmdr. Warwick feeling a little more at ease and feeling he had recovered okay sat in the left chair. He sat in the chair naturally, although his insides were churning. "Tell me Mr Warwick", said the Captain. "Does the Admiral still speak of his cabin in Ontario. And the Wolf he befriended" A soft audible chuckle emitted from Jonathan. "You don't trust me," Lt. Cmdr Warwick said slowly. Now smiling. "Captain, I understand your reservation. Admiral Alexander needed to find you, and he sent me because he knew I would get the task done. Now, I hadn't expected it to be this easy, though I guess when you are talented as I am." In a more serious tone and losing the smile, "But to answer your question sir, yes, Admiral Alexander does still speak of the Wolf he befriended. I believe he says that was the day he stopped calling himself the Lone Wolf. Now, if I've passed your test; might I inquire as to the location of the Spectre?" (reply T'Vhor) (posted by Calvin Capps) (USS Spectre - Bridge - ACMO, Ensign (JG) Tj Rivers - 19:23) Tj stepped out onto the bridge and surveyed it quickly it was not often he found himself on the bridge. He walked across the room as the officers in different color uniforms went about there duty's. He stopped in front of the ready room door and rang the chime waiting for a voice telling him he could enter. (Reply Ktell) Tj entered the room and looked at the ships first officer. "Are you feeling ok Commander Ktell?" asked Tj as he walked to the middle of the room. (Reply Ktell) (posted by Andrew) (USS Rome - Ready Room - CO, Captain T'Vhor - 19:24) "You don't trust me," said Lt. Cmdr Warwick, smiling. "Captain, I understand your reservation. Admiral Alexander needed to find you, and he sent me because he knew I would get the task done", continued Warwick. "Now, I hadn't expected it to be this easy, though I guess when you are talented as I am." The Captain raised an eyebrow at that. Kerge had remarked on the Man's smug air before he had departed, and now the ego had landed so to speak. Warwick paused before continuing... "But to answer your question sir, yes, Admiral Alexander does still speak of the Wolf he befriended. I believe he says that was the day he stopped calling himself the Lone Wolf. Now, if I've passed your test; might I inquire as to the location of the Spectre?" The Captain settled back into his seat, his hands coming to rest upon his lap at the officers answer. Of course, if Alexander had been that close and on the level with Warwick, Warwick himself would have known that the animal he befriended was an Eagle that he had nursed back to health after it had fallen from a nest and been abandoned by its Mother. It was true though that the Admiral had once termed himself a Lone Wolf, so there were some truths in the man's answer. The fact remained though, Warwick was either lying, or Alexander himself had become compromised... Which though would be addressed at a later date and T'Vhor felt now that Warwick being at ease and thinking he had answered correctly, would make him far more malleable later. "Unfortunately, we do not know at this time where the Spectre is", said the Captain, "Indeed, we were searching for it when you happened upon us." (Reply Warwick, IYW) "We have received no answers to any hails and no ident codes have been received", said the Captain, omitting for the moment anyway, who had actually commandeered it . "We have found no debris, no signs that she has been lost. Logically then we can assume that this means she cannot communicate, for whatever reason", said the Captain. (Reply Warwick) The Captain pondered the man's words carefully, and although he now seemed more at ease having apparently passed the Captain little test earlier, he was still withholding something from him and his Betazoid senses were pinging because of it. He hoped that the aforementioned 'Captain's Eyes Only' communique might shed more light on what that might be, but he wasn't encouraged. Something wasn't adding up here, and Warwick seemed to be pivotal in that. He would be checking up on the man's record later, that much was for sure... (Reply Warwick) (Posted by Alan) (USS Spectre - Ready Room - FO, Lt Cmdr Remae Ktell - 19:25) The chime sounding at the door was like music to Remae's ears, for failing something catastrophic having occured in the asteroid field, it could only mean that relief had finally arrived. "Enter", said the FO, and the door slid aside followed closely by the entry of an Ensign in Medical Teal with a medkit satchel slung over his shoulder. "Are you feeling OK Commander Ktell?" asked the Ensign. For a brief moment there Ktell thought that a somewhat odd query considering he'd sent for assistance. The Ensign though was relatively new on board though so the FO let it slide, reaching up to his temples as he did so. "It's my head", said Ktell. "Damned worst headaches I've had in a long time. If you could just take them away for me, I'll be just fine" (Reply Rivers) NRPG: Gonna make a few assumptions as to how I think this might go here, Andrew. Hope you don't mind. RPG: ~Medics~ thought Ktell. ~nothing is ever straight forwards~ Remae sighed, inwardly knowing that there would have to be some tests of course, and that a simple hypospray, although alleviating the problem for now, would likely only be a temporary measure. It bothered him though, as it invariably did almost every senior officer in Starfleet, because when it came down to any kind of a medical issue, Medics had the power to sign you off and relieve you of duty. So long as they had the relevant orders from their departmental superiors of course. "OK, I'll be sure to report to the CMO the moment he returns to the ship", said Ktell, standing upon his replacement lower limbs just a little less stable than he was perhaps used to. (Reply Rivers) Remae nodded. It made sense of course as a thorough check over of his legs was long overdue considering that he'd not had the replacements checked for some time now. "I'll mention that to Doc Williams also", said Remae. "Don't worry. I'll be thorough. For now though, I'd be very grateful if you'd just take away this damned headache for me" Rivers smiled, and then he opened up his medkit to retrieve the necessary... (Reply Rivers) (Posted by Alan) (USS Rome - Ready Room - Strategic Officer, Lieutenant Commander Jonathan Warwick - 19:25) "Unfortunately, we do not know at this time where the Spectre is", said the Captain, "Indeed, we were searching for it when you happened upon us." Jonathan attempted to hold his contempt of the Captain. Jonathan considered how Captain T'Vhor could have lost his own ship. Lt. Cmdr. Warwick really knew nothing of T'Vhor, professionally or privately. The only information he knew came from Admiral Alexander right before Jonathan had been dispatched to locate the Captain and the Spectre. Admiral Alexander painted T'Vhor has cunning, dangerous, and a traitor that needed to be stopped. So far, Jonathan wasn't convinced of the Captain's guile and threat level. "Interesting Captain. Do you have any leads to the whereabouts of the Spectre," Warwick asked genuinely curious of the location of the Spectre. Finding the Spectre was half of what he was ordered to locate. "We have received no answers to any hails and no ident codes have been received", said the Captain. "We have found no debris, no signs that she has been lost. Logically then we can assume that this means she cannot communicate, for whatever reason." Lt. Cmdr. Warwick knew he needed to switch his approach. "Captain, I formally ask you to allow me to help recover the Spectre. I am experienced in such efforts. I know I have just arrived, but my records are available for your review. I assure you that Admiral Alexander holds me in high regard. Give me a post, and I will prove to you of my standing." (reply T'Vhor) (posted by Calvin Capps) (USS Rome - Ready Room - CO, Captain T'Vhor and TAC/SC, Lt Kerge - 19:27) "Captain, I formally ask you to allow me to help recover the Spectre", began Warwick, before then going on to provide his credentials to signify his suitability for that role, leading the CO to ponder that just briefly. "I assure you that Admiral Alexander holds me in high regard. Give me a post, and I will prove to you of my standing.", he added. The Captain wasn't at all convinced. OK, there was no reason at all to doubt the Man's suitability, but something still wasn't quite right with him and he most certainly WAS hiding something. Only a fool would give this officer a command position right now, even if Alexander had held him in high regard. The Captain nodded, and then pursed his lips contemplating his response. "You may assist Lieutenant Kerge", said the Captain. "He has been liaising with my 2nd officer and CSO on developing a modified torpedo to track any anomalous readings in the asteroid field. Perhaps, your 'expertise' might come in handy there", he offered. (Reply Warwick) The Captain nodded again, just as the chime on the ready room door sounded. The Captain acknowledged that, and in walked the Klingon sec chief, a small data module in his hand. Kerge walked towards the table, glancing to Warwick as he did so. Then he placed the module upon the desk before the Captain. "Captain's eyes only, Sir", he said stoicly, nodding to the Lieutenant Commander as he spoke. (Reply Warwick, IYW) The Captain placed his hand upon the module and then drew it towards him, obviously not going into the message just yet until he was alone. He then briefed the Klingon on the agreement he and Warwick had arrived at before standing from his chair. "Gentlemen", he said, "I believe we all have a ship to find so, let us find it forthwith" (Reply Warwick) (Posted by Alan) (USS Rome - Ready Room - Strategic Officer, Lieutenant Commander Jonathan Warwick - 19:28) "You may assist Lieutenant Kerge", said the Captain. "He has been liaising with my 2nd officer and CSO on developing a modified torpedo to track any anomalous readings in the asteroid field. Perhaps, your 'expertise' might come in handy there", he offered. "Very well, I am confident my abilities won't be lost in the task." Jonathan didn't miss the specific wording of the Captain's sentence. Lt. Cmdr. Warwick was meant to assist, and was attached to the Security Chief; most likely not by coincidence. The familiar Starfleet vessel chime sounded in the room. Jonathan took a half step open toward the doorway so he could easily see the guest entering the room. A Klingon stepped into the room, and walked straight to the Captain's desk. Jonathan followed the Klingon with his eyes. He caught a glance from the entering officer. "Captain's eyes only, Sir", the Klingon said stoicly, nodding to the Lieutenant Commander as he spoke. "Ah, the message I was tasked to deliver to you Captain. I'm delighted that half of my mission is now officially complete." Captain T'Vhor then explained Jonathan's new assignment to Kerge. "Gentlemen", he said, "I believe we all have a ship to find so, let us find it forthwith" Jonathan turned toward the door, and immediately made his way out of the room. He thought he had remembered the Klingon's face when he entered the Ready Room, but the Klingon had not introduced himself when they first met in the hangar. At the front of the line to exit the Ready Room and enter the bridge Jonathan said to Kerge behind him. "Sir, I know you'll find working with me quite pleasant and refreshing." (reply Kerge, any) (posted by Calvin Capps) (USS Rome – Bridge – CMO, Cmdr Andrew Williams - 19:29) Andrew looked over to Jo who was at the tactical station. “Any update on the Spectre?” He saw her quickly tap on her consle before looking up. “Yes Doctor. The fleeting sensor return came from the planetoid that is on our bearing.” “Thank you.” He turned to the helm where Alexander was at the controls. “Will, how fast can we get there. With this dense asteroid field, I don’t want to louse what ever made that sensor reading.” ~Really hope it’s the Spector~ (Reply Alexander) (Posted by Robbie) (USS Rome - Outside Ready Room - TAC/SC, Lt Kerge - 19:30) "Sir, I know you'll find working with me quite pleasant and refreshing." said Warwick, still seemingly full of the confidence that he had displayed upon his arrival on the Rome. Kerge simply nodded, wondering as he did so whether there was a reason for his formal address of 'Sir', or not. Warwick, was a Lieutenant Commander after all, and whilst this had prompted the Security concious Klingon to wonder if the Man really was who he said he was, he chose to let it slide. On the Bridge, Kerge approached Palmer, the Spectre's 20 and enquired as to the operational progress and readiness of the modified torpedo. (Reply Palmer) Kerge acknowledged the news. At least they were getting somewhere, he thought to himself... Heading through the Bridge and towards the turbolift, Kerge glanced to the Tactical Officer stationed at the tactical console, and then asked if there had been any developments in regards their continuing sweeps of the asteroid field. "Nothing new, Sir", said the Ensign, "just the usual comms traffic from a nearby mining crew extracting ore from one of the larger asteroids", came the reply. Kerge nodded again and then glanced to Warwick, wondering again what was going through the Man's mind. Entering into the turbolift, Kerge gave the command for Deck 6, his destination now the forward launcher to inspect the torpedo itself. It wasn't something he particularly needed to do of course, but the time could be used well in getting to know Warwick just a little better. To 'fathom' the Man so to speak. As the turbolift descended through the decks, the Klingon tugged at his tunic and then turned to the Lieutenant Commander. "So", he began. "You are no doubt aware, Sir, that the Spectre was placed at renegade status by Starfleet a day or so ago", he said, choosing his line of query carefully now. "Tell me, does that condition still stand, and if so, what are your intentions once we find our ship?" (Reply Palmer, Warwick) (Posted by Alan) (USS Rome - Turbolift - Strategic Officer, Lieutenant Commander Jonathan Warwick - 19:35) Jonathan had followed the security chief around the bridge as Kerge spoke with a couple of the officers on duty. Lt. Cmdr. Warwick found it interesting that Kerge chose not to introduce the man following him. Jonathan always thought it was best to be introduced or introduce himself to nearly everyone he met. Networking was a powerful tool and one that Jonathan felt he was good at. He chose it would be best to ignore this oversight for the time being, but if it continued would definitely say something. A few minutes later Kerge and Jonathan stepped onto the nearby turbolift. "So", Kerge began. "You are no doubt aware, Sir, that the Spectre was placed at renegade status by Starfleet a day or so ago", he said, choosing his line of query carefully now. "Tell me, does that condition still stand, and if so, what are your intentions once we find our ship?" Jonathan saw this as an opportunity to connect to Lt. Kerge. "Admiral Alexander believes the renegade status was a mistake on Starfleet's part. He personally believes in Captain T'Vhor. Unfortunately, Admiral Alexander was not successful in convincing Starfleet to remove the condition. My only intention is to find the Spectre which I was ordered to do. Only T'Vhor and Admiral Alexander know what will happen after that. The message you gave Captain T'Vhor moments ago relay what is to come. Tell me Lieutenant, what did happen to the Spectre?" (reply Kerge) (posted by Calvin Capps) (USS Rome - Turbolift - TAC/SC, Lt Kerge - 19:36) The Klingon listened intently to Warwick's answer, aware now that it would reveal a certain aspect of the Officers motivation in his current mission to find the Spectre. In so doing though, it was likely that it might show just how close he was to the Admiral as well, whom the Captain had already divulged was unlikely to do anything where he was concerned, without actually making some kind of personal communication. But then, there was the encrypted communique of course, and nobody really knew what that contained. Not even Warwick it would seem... "Tell me Lieutenant, what did happen to the Spectre?", said the Lieutenant Commander, following on from his previous answer. Kerge inhaled deeply at that. They had had the effectively ship stolen from under them, which although Kerge himself had not been present, was hardly something that he as the Chief of Security was particularly proud of, nor keen to relay to this new and unknown quantity. Embellishment though was not something that Kerge was particularly fond of either, so he answered with enough information to relay the story, without being too particular with the details. "We were on an away mission to Starbase 39-Sierra", he began. "We had received no communications with the station, which, as you are no doubt well aware, Sir, is somewhat odd considering this particular station size and strategic importance", he added. "There was, however, an insurgent of Ferengi whom we believe are compromised in some manner, some of which were able to transport to the Spectre and take command of her battle bridge" (Reply Warwick, IYW) Kerge continued on, careful now not to reveal anything about the parasitic infestation that had taken place just yet. That, after all was the Captain's place and the Security Chief had been sworn to secrecy on it until further notice. "The last report from Commander Ktell was that the bridge functions had been locked out. That is the last we heard from the ship", said Kerge. (Reply Warwick) "The Rome was duly commandeered to give pursuit", answered Kerge. "Which, brings us to your arrival" The turbolift doors then slid aside, allowing the two officers to step out into the corridor and beyond...
