So what is it that you want from us so we can go and do that.”, said Twinnings Gicha frowned at the starfleet officers straight forward approach, it signalled a change in tact, but why? In his experience, Humans were not particularly known for being truthful, Vulcans on the other hand rarely lied. It seemed a 'logical' choice then to discuss terms with the one known as Kurrik rather than the seemingly beligerant Twinnings. "There are certain technologies aboard your vessel that we have need of", said the Tellarite, "replicators, certain medical equipment, all fetch good prices on the trading worlds", he added. "Perhaps you could share some of that with us, and in return we will provide the necessary assistance to allow you to leave the Shadows" Kurrik quirked his head. In his own experience, Tellarites could rarely be trusted and what was to prevent them from simply running off and leaving them alone once they had procured the relevant trade items? "I would suggest that we make any agreed trade once we are free from this place", he said, his expression not changing at all. "Our ship is unpowered, our warp core gone. This means that we cannot simply make a run for it once we are outside of the void, unlike yourselves who could warp out of the system the moment that we give you the items you require", he added. Gicha looked agrieved and it showed. "Are you saying that you don't trust us to meet our end of the bargain!", he bellowed. "Are you doubting our integrity!" "Sir, I am merely pointing out the possible outcomes, and as we have only just met, it might be prudent to arrive at a solution which provides us both with what we require. My suggestion is simply the most logical given the current set of variables", said Kurrik. "Mr Twinnings here is an Engineer. He can begin assembling the equipment you need whilst you are providing the assistance we require to recover our warp core and exit this area of space" Gicha leaned towards Bashka, mummbling something in his ear. Clearly trust was seriously lacking here, but then given the circumstances, he knew the Vulcan was right. And besides, they had not met their quota yet and they needed something worthwhile to take with them. "OK, we first recover your warp core. You send us one item that we require, then we show you how to leave the Shadows and you give us the remaining equipment", said Gicha. "How does that sound?", he added, leaning towards the fleeters, his fingers now stroking at his beard like some salivating feline intent on lapping at the cream. Kurrik looked at Twinnings, who surprisingly had remained silent, regardless of the fact that the Tellarite had treated him incredibly rudely. "What do you think Mr Twinnings? Can we acceed to this course of action, or should we re-negotiate?", said Kurrik, once again bringing his friend into the discussion. (Reply Twinnings) (Posted by Alan) (Tellarite Vessel - Bridge - Cadet Twinnings - 16:47) Twinnings looked over at Kurrik who had been talking to the Tellarite. He had clinched his jaw shut as the conversation with the Tellarites ignored him and talked to Kurrik as he did not want to make any problems "What do you think Mr Twinnings? Can we acceed to this course of action, or should we re-negotiate?", Twinnings nodded calming himself down before he spoke. “I think we should give it a go.” He paused and then looked at Gicha. “Which pieace of equipment do you need?” (Reply Gicha) Twinnings nodded. “I will have to go back to the ship to get it.” (Reply Gicha) (Reply Gicha, Kurrik) (Posted by Robbie) (Tellarite Vessel - Bridge - Cadet Kurrik and Tellarite Commander Sur Vam Gicha - 16:48) “I think we should give it a go.", said Twinnings, evidently eager to just get back to the Garallon now. He had a point of course, Porsa was there all alone, although apparently not all alone it would seem! Who the hell was the other lifeform reading though? It was indeed a worry. "Which piece of equipment do you need?", said Twinnings in response to the Tellarites request for equipment. Gicha toyed with his tunic just briefly as he contemplated an answer to that 'to the point' question. He had learned along time ago that trade was always best when the other party had everything to lose by not dealing, it was a good bargaining advantage in anyones book. However, he chose not to be too greedy just yet. After all, if they could help the fleeters and procure some goodies for themselves in the process, then trade might prevent itself with them again sometime very soon. Perhaps even with their warp core returned they might still be in need of some form of assistance? "I could always use replicators", he said. "And perhaps any medical supplies that you might have available for trade" Kurrik raised an eyebrow at the addition of the medical supplies, but then when you are desperate, you do what is necessary to get what you need. "I will have to go back to the ship to get it.", said Twinnings. Gicha simply nodded and then began chatting to his colleague, who sounded just a little uncertain at that point, an assumption that proved to be correct. "My second in command feels that it might be prudent if one of you remained here", said Gicha, pausing then before continuing on. "But I see no reason why you cannot both return to your vessel. After all, you are in no position to go anywhere without our help here, are you", he added, self assuredly "Evidently not", said Kurrik. "Before we leave though, perhaps you might do us the honour in beaming us directly to where our two colleagues are", he added. "We can work together to get the equipment that you require, it will be a great deal faster with four of us than only the two" Gicha nodded again. It made perfect sense of course. "I think that we can manage that", he answered, "in the meantime though we will of course remain here in close contact with your vessel. We will also begin scans for your ejected warp core, our sensors are far more refined to this environment than your own", he added, somewhat smuggly. Kurrik nodded and then glanced to the door through which they had recently arrived. "We shall take our leave then", he said, "and meet again to complete our trade once you have found our warp core and provided us with the means to return it to our ship" "Agreed", said Gicha. "It has been a pleasure doing business with you. Bashka, see our guests to the transport room and make sure that they arrive safely aboard their vessel" Dor Bashka looked slightly peeved, but obliged anyway, leading the two fleeters back to the Federation procured turbolift that had brought them all to the command deck... (Reply Twinnings IYW) (Posted by Alan) (USS Spectre – Bridge, Ops – Ensign, Robert Smith/Security Officer and Lt JG Jo Smith - 16:53) =^=Uh... that is... OK... Ensign Smith=^= =^=I can relate any information the ship needs on contact=^= Robert paused for a moment before answering. “Yes sir that would be helpful but as you have isolated astrometrics I will have to do a bypass to the arrays so that you won’t be bothered by the constant interruptions.” "I uh... must get back to work now. Contact me if you need me. McKenzie out." Robert was about to reply be heard the click as the channel closed. ~This is weird~ He glanced again at the console and then over to the officer who was working at the tactical station. ~This could be classed as ship security~ He tapped his comm badge and spoke softly into it so that he could not be over heard. “Robert Smith to Jo Smith.” =^=Hallo Robert are you okay=^= “Hay sis I have something weird that I want to talk to you about.” He could hear Jo’s grin through the comm channel. =^=You know there is cream for that kind of problem=^= Robert rolled his eyes. “No seriously. I got McKenzie who has locked himself in astrometrics and is talking about spies and saboteurs. He seems a bit out of it could you pop round discretely and have a check on him. I’m worried that he might do something.” =^=Sure not a problem. I can wonder over there and see if he’s okay=^= “Thanks Sis ow you one.” =^= I’ll add it to the list. See you later Smith out=^= Robert was satiffied that Jo would find out what was happening he went back to starting the bypass so that they could have all the information when they needed it. (Reply None) (Posted by Robbie) (USS Spectre - Outside Astrometrics - Security Officer, Lt JG Jo Smith - 16:56) Jo walked up to the door of astrometrics. She paused for a moment before pressing the admissions pad beside the door. She wanted to make sure that McKenzie was okay but if she pushed him to much then he might flip out and hurt himself or others. She gave a soft sigh and pressed the door pad. The door did not move which she expected but it did open a comm channel to McKenzie inside the room. “Lieutenant McKenzie, this is Jo Smith from security” (Reply McKenzie) “We have had reports that you have shut yourself away in there and that you do not seem yourself. Are you okay?” (Reply McKenzie) (Reply McKenzie, any) (Posted by Robbie) (ATV Garallon - Bridge - Cadet Udet - 17:30) "The ship is on emergency back up power, our external sensors are fried and we have no propulsion due to having dumped the core", she answered, still wondering where he had been all this time. “What about a shuttle?”, asked Max. Porsa shook her head. "The shuttles are gone", she offered. "Creepy girl and her entourage took them when they transferred over to the Tempest and set the self-destruct. Bitch is weird, weird I tell you", she added. “Okay then. Warp core was ejected, what about impulse? Tractor beams? What still works?” The woman looked at him for a moment, seemingly with questions of her own that needed answering first. "So", said Porsa, "what's your story? Where the hell have you been hiding all this time and how come you managed to evade internal sensors?” “I’m security” he said, as if that explained it all. When she still look inquisitive he added “I programmed the internal sensors to ignore my biosigns." (Reply Porsa) “Still, we need to figure out a way to either get the ship out of this whatever the hell it is, or at least to get a message out with enough power that Starfleet will send someone to rescue us.” (Reply Porsa) “Well, if we can get impulse going, that will at least point us in the right direction. We could always put ourselves into stasis, then in 100 years or so when we finally get back where we are supposed to be we at least won’t have suffocated or gone crazier.” (Reply Porsa) “Yeah, 100 years is a lot, but I’m already a half millennia out-of-date, what’s another century give or take? (Reply Porsa) “Hey, its better than the alternative, dying in the void. Besides, you never know, someone could find sooner than a century” he left silent the part that it could also take much longer (Reply Porsa) (Posted by Andrew) (ATV Garallon - Bridge - Academy Cadet Porsa - 17:32) "So", said Porsa, "what's your story? Where the hell have you been hiding all this time and how come you managed to evade internal sensors?” "I’m security” said Max, "I programmed the internal sensors to ignore my biosigns." Really? Thought Porsa. Was that even doable? If she recalled, Udet had scored high marks in the Tactical evaluation section on a recent academy test, Porsa knew that but making yourself invisible was a new one on her. OK, so he'd managed to blind the sensors but that still didn't answer everything. "So why didn't you show yourself earlier, Max?", she queried. "We've been in this place for days and you only just show up now. What gives?", she asked. (Reply Udet) Porsa nodded. The man had initially come at her with a phasor asking strange questions about SE5's and enemy lines. Anything was possible under the circumstances perhaps. Max continued on. "Still, we need to figure out a way to either get the ship out of this whatever the hell it is, or at least to get a message out with enough power that Starfleet will send someone to rescue us.", he stated. Porsa nodded again. "And we need to find Kurrik and Twinnings", she added, glancing to the ship still sitting off their starboard aspect as though knowing deep down that that was more than likely where they both were right now. "Well, if we can get impulse going, that will at least point us in the right direction", said Max. "We could always put ourselves into stasis, then in 100 years or so when we finally get back where we are supposed to be we at least won’t have suffocated or gone crazier" "Are you kidding me!", exclaimed Porsa, "A hundred years or so! May I remind you that our power is failing. How will we run stasis chambers on zero power?", she asked. "And... and.. a hundred freaking years!" “Yeah, 100 years is a lot, but I’m already a half millennia out-of-date, what’s another century give or take?", answered Max. Porsa fell silent. Of course, this was the guy that had disappeared in time. At one time he had been deemed a bit of a chronological novelty and more than just a tad popular with the academy historians. Clearly though, Max seemed more intent right now on getting the two of them out of the void and not too concerned at all about Kurrik and Twinnings! There was no way though that she was going to go anywhere without them. "I don't have a hundred years to spare, Max. And you still haven't answered my question about the others", said a confused Porsa. "Hey, its better than the alternative, dying in the void. Besides, you never know, someone could find us sooner than a century", offered Max. Porsa let out a heavy sigh and then looked again to the viewscreen longingly. Something told her that there was something going on over there that might get them out of this mess sooner rather than later, and she was hardly ready to step into a stasis chamber yet. Not when there was hope to make it out before a hundred years or so had elapsed she wasn't! "Ok", she said, brushing another errant hair from her eyes. "How about we work out a way to bring the external communications array back online. That way, we can kill two birdswith one stone. We can find out who our friends are over there and whether they might be able to help us, AND we can try and get a message out to anyone outside of the void", she added. "It certainly seems preferable to sleeping for a hundred years anyway" (Reply Udet) (Posted by Alan) (USS Spectre - Engineering - CEO, Ensign Remae Ktell - 18:35) "Uh, excuse me? Are you alright? Can I offer assistance?", asked a youg woman's voice from above. Remae was bent over with his back not liking his extended stay in cramped tubes. Not being able to see her face, Remae nodded his acceptance of said assistance. Whatever it would be. =^= Chief Ktell this is Ensign Haltom, how are you doing sir? =^= "Yes, just fine, thanks Ensign. Apart from not being able to move." =^= Good thing we have someone from medical here then sir, what is your location? =^= "Main Engineering, near the auxiliary warp control console.", he said noting the console in front of him. The CEO simply was happy that someone was coming to straightening him out. In the meantime, he waited with the officer that had found him in this condition. "What's happening up there?", he asked, wondering if the crewmen could see aid coming their way or perhaps the sight of the gathering crew to bear witness to the sight. (Reply by Yelick, Haltom, anyone with a back straightener) (Posted by Anthony Keen) (USS Spectre - Engineering - ACEO, Ensign Marianne Yelick - 18:36) "What's happening up there?", her chief asked, seeming to try and peer around without moving his spine. She wished she knew more than very basic first aid. Marianne and looked around. The chief's hearing must be decent, or he could see feet. She employed the 'mommy voice' to say "Everyone is going back to work while we get medical here." She was kind of proud when people coughed, scuffled feet and went back to what they were supposed to be doing. She could see help coming, "Looks like the squadron's here." She then realized the slang might not translate to outsiders, "Rescue that is." She backed up a little to give the arrivals room to examine. "Or to interfere with your scan and examination of the structural integrity of the deck plate." It was a weak joke, but it was the best she had. She'd never met the acting chief engineer before and this was hardly a graceful situation. (Reply by any in engineering playing ring around the chief.) (Posted by Lorna) (USS Spectre - Engineering - ACEO, Ensign Jake Haltom - 18:48) He rounded a corner with Dr. Kirien in tow and saw the chief in a hunched over and very uncomfortable looking position which caused him to shake his head in pity. Back strain was normally a very preventable injury. Seeing the jeffries tube nearby it wasn't a stretch of the imagination to guess what had caused his discomfort. He nodded his head at Ensign Yelick then turned to Michaella. "Your patient doctor." (Reply: Michaella) While she set about attending to the CEO he addressed the engineering officer. "I don't believe we've been formally introduced, I'm Jake Haltom." (Reply: Yelick) "Pleased to meet you." he then sighed and crossed his arms. His throat was much better thanks to the magic swizzle but fatigue was beginning to catch up to him. "I assume you found him this way then." (Reply: Yelick, any) (Posted by Charles) (USS Spectre - Engineering - AEO, Ensign Marianna Yelick - 18:49) With the Chief's back problems seeming well in hand of a medical professional, Marianne was about to turn back to work when a voice interupted her chain of thought, "I don't believe we've been formally introduced, I'm Jake Haltom." Marianne couldn't help smiling, "I didn't realize there was a formality to two engineers meeting, it's always been 'watch out' 'duck' or 'can you help me clean up this mess' before" she mused, "I'm Marianne Yelick." "Pleased to meet you." he then sighed and crossed his arms. His throat was much better thanks to the magic swizzle but fatigue was beginning to catch up to him. "I assume you found him this way then." "Mmm, yes. Very thorough deck plate inspection." Marinanne replied, dry humour at work. "Thought he might want to pass engineering outlook to a medical professional." (reply Haltom, any) (Posted by Lorna.) (USS Spectre - Engineering - ACEO, Ensign Jake Haltom - 18:51) "Mmm, yes. Very thorough deck plate inspection." Marinanne replied dryly. "Thought he might want to pass engineering outlook to a medical professional." "Hmm, Yes. You've got to be limber to do that sort of work." Jake gave her a grin and wink that the CEO couldn't see. "Some stretching beforehand might have been advisable if he really wants to get down and dirty with the unannounced inspections." (Reply: Yelick, Ktell, Michaella, any) It was then that an abrupt change happened and it was extremely disorienting for a second. Jake's entire worldview shifted and he was standing not on the ship but in wonderful north Tamriel on the subarctic tundra of Skyrim. The wind was light but crisp and he was relatively warm within his Stahlrim armor which was heavily padded with brown bear fur. The familiar weight of his weapons was comforting somehow. Still he looked around in confusion for a second before shrugging. "That is strange, wasn't I just doing something else?" He found that he had lost track of time as well, there was no way of telling how long he had been on the holodeck at this point. "Computer what is the ship's time?" Though he listened there was no reply that he could tell, just the strange buzzing noise of voices somewhere far away, almost like static. He listened closely but could make no sense of what was being said if anything. (Reply: Any) And then he lifted his eyes to the sky and saw them wheeling overhead, the unmistakable shapes of two great dragons several hundred feet above him. He retrieved his bow from his back even as he was sprinting for some boulders that were easily found here. As he took shelter behind them (Engineering workstations actually) he saw a great black dragon join the two in the air. The new arrival was at least half again as large as its compatriots. "Alduin." He grated and nocked an arrow. "DoVahKiin!" Its immense voice called down to him. "The time for your death has come. The firstborn of Akatosh may not be so easily destroyed and I have returned to claim your soul after which I will fulfill my destiny." "You will NEVER have my soul." The Harbinger cried up to the wheeling trio. "I am more powerful than you as I have already proven and the presence of two of your cronies will not change the outcome. Moreover I have become more powerful than you can imagine since our last meeting!" He loosed the shaft at one of the original pair and it bellowed in alarm as a trio of elemental effects bloomed from the wound. The dragon flapped mightily to maintain its place in the air though heavily wounded. He grabbed up Spellbreaker from the ground where he had dropped it and raised the shield above his head in the nick of time as fiery meteorites plummeted from the sky and struck around him. Those that would have hit the artifact were instead thrown to the side by the ward it maintained. "You can't keep this up forever and when you give me an opening I will pick them apart after which I will ground and destroy you. You know how this ends Alduin and nothing you do can change the outcome. You are on a fool's errand." The immense black dragon roared in rage. "Perhaps I will even use you as a mount." He taunted knowing the reprieve would be short lived so he dropped Spellbreaker and retrieved his bow and nocked an arrow. This shaft sped unerringly to embed itself in the already wounded beast and it lost altitude, bellowing in pain. The Harbinger grinned in triumph as the wounded dragon flew slowly and painfully from the scene of battle. The meteorites were coming down again so he raised his shield only to be jerked nearly out of his crouch by an unseen force. He broke free and got his shield up but not before he had taken a blow across his back from one of the fiery rocks. The rest were once again shunted aside. (Reply: Any) "One down Alduin and one to go. One more roadblock and then you fall!" The jerk this time was hard on his right arm which spun him around. He looked into a face he felt he should recognize but didn't. "Who are you and what are you doing in the game?" He shouted in the being's face. "I don't have time for you, Alduin awaits." (Reply: Any) (Posted by Charles) (USS Spectre - Sickbay - Acouns Lt. Dr Riven Mias - 18:52) "I was asked to bring the first officer in. She was moving erratically through the ship, cutting through jeffries tubes, like she was, well, on some sort of bad drug trip. I cut her off on a deck 5 corridor, and asked her to accompany me. Well that is sort of true, I told her that there was an easy way and hard way, and implied I would use force if needed." Riven nodded his head as the security officer paused for a second and took a breath. His eyes cut over to the emergency medic who's typically impassive mien gave away nothing of what he was thinking and the Vulcan's mind was so heavily shielded there was no leakage his empathic sense could pick up. The Vulcan folded his arms across his chest as if to settle in for a long dissertation and quirked an eyebrow at the Betazoid who returned his attention to Ensign Frost. "I asked her again to stand down, she turned and ran. Her eyes were glossy, a bit glazed, but had this look of fear in them, like she was running from death itself. But she ran, and I had orders. I had two choices, I could stun her, or I could chase her down, and I probably would have caught her, I am in amazing shape. But what would that help. I am outweighed her by 100 pounds, towered over her by roughly 8 inches give or take a pair of high heels. I am also trained in multiple martial arts and am a professional fighter, semi retired. I could have caught up to her and choked her out easily, or even dragged her here by force. But that would have caused more damage to her than a phaser. So I fired. Sure it wasn't logical, maybe I could have tried to convince her with my words some more, maybe I was to threatening. But let's be honest, I call this the hard way, yeah It's the hard way to her, but for me, this was the easy way, and honestly the logical choice at the time. Well, I guess I could have beamed her to sick bay, but you try beaming a possibly drugged up person running down a corridor and see what happens." "A logical course of action." Sestan said as the security officer finished his explanation and turned back to his patient. NRPG: Sorry but I can't resist. :-) RPG: Riven's face registered a shocked expression at the Vulcan's agreement. "Well this has to be a first!" He muttered before grinning at the medic's back. Sestan turned his head toward the counselor. "A first for what doctor?" "For a Vulcan agreeing with anyone else that their reasoning is logical." He replied. "An illogical statement doctor." Sestan seemed to be satisfied at the readings he was seeing and gave him his full attention. "Ensign Frost's reasoning was sound and he acted on it accordingly. Although there is no evidence the Commander was an imminent threat a protracted struggle posed a greater threat to her physical safety. The possibility of her returning lucidity before a struggle was necessary is impossible to calculate due to both the void and the unknown parameters of her mental state. Also based on his observations of fear which are confirmed by her flight it is to be noted that such emotional states can turn to violence at an instant against anyone she encountered if she felt her safety were threatened. This is the mental trap and Achilles heel of a species who's viewpoint is based on emotion. In light of events then his actions were entirely acceptable and logical." Riven bristled a bit, knowing that now he was the one in the spotlight but taking exception to what he considered a degrading comment. "An entirely Vulcan statement! I will have you know that emotion is no Achilles heel but an outgrowth of higher sentience and a pure form of thought present in a sentient species while pure logic is merely a repression of a being's empathy and gentler instincts which give them a humane universal view and I take exception to your snobbish analysis of a rational being's mental state just because they embrace emotions! " He couldn't help it, the logic vs emotion argument was something he took a strong stance on. It was therefore maddening when the damnable Vulcan retorted without a hint of hesitation or emotion. "Your summation Doctor is also illogical and your reaction representative of my point." Riven heated reply was cut off by a question from the security officer. "What the hell is going on anyways, those eyes man. She seriously looked as if she was about to die, like the instrument of her death was facing her down. I didn't even have my phaser pulled until her back to me. I'm a low level ensign, we get paid to do grunt work, not know why the FO is running around like a mad woman." The mind healer bit back his reply, calmed himself and turned to the man. "To be brief this section of space is acting on the centers of the brain dealing with memories and generating hallucinations and hormonal reactions to those hallucinations Applicable individually." (Reply: Will, any) (Posted by Charles) (USS Spectre - Sickbay - TAC/ASC, Ensign Will Frost - 18:53) "A logical course of action." Sestan replied. ~Well that is a first. I'm going to have to reflect this in my log. Today a Vulcan said I was logical. Err made a logical decision. Take that people who think fighters are not smart.~ Riven's face registered a shocked expression at the Vulcan's agreement. In light of events then his actions were entirely acceptable and logical." "An entirely Vulcan statement! " "Your summation Doctor is also illogical and your reaction representative of my point." Will thought this might be a good time to interrupt the argument. "To be brief this section of space is acting on the centers of the brain dealing with memories and generating hallucinations and hormonal reactions to those hallucinations Applicable individually." "So basically this whole region of space is like one big acid trip for the mind...great...And here I thought I could be drug free." The last part he added was a bit of a joke. Though will was in fact drug free, unless you counted caffeine. (Reply Riven) "Well that explains why the commander is going crazy. I guess why the captain wanted me to bring here. (reply Riven) "Will then tapped his commbadge, "Frost to Bridge, Captain, the first officer has been delivered safely to sickbay." (reply T'Vhor iyw) "Frost Out" Will then walked slowly toward the door, and turned to face Sestan and Riven. "By the way, Dr. Riven is right, emotions are a wonderful thing, that is part of a rich and fulfilling experience in life. But they can be a pain in the you know what sometimes. There are two reasons why they used to call me the Iceman when I was a fighter. First my last name was Frost. Second, I figured out how to ignore my emotions off in the ring. Emotionless, feelingless, an Iceman." He then walked out of sickbay, his mind blank, his only focus, duty, and making it to Deck 13. (reply Riven, T'Vhor iyw) (posted by WB) (USS Spectre - Engineering - CEO, Ensign Remae Ktell – 18:53) Help was arriving, it was taking time… I mean, perhaps this wasn’t an emergency? Or maybe it was time to let the Chief have it for being away for so long. The deck plate was interesting but Remae kept to himself. It wasn’t like he had a collection of vintage, turn of the century deck plates, in his quarters… no, never. That was simply madness. Introductions seemed to be taking place around him… what was going on? Doctor Michaella, by all accounts, was here and the hypospray took away the pain and he shot to attention, upright and nearly took out some of the head that were at head-level. “Thanks Doctor!”, he said rubbing his back, I appreciate your help.”, he said glowering at others who were now on his radar. “I’m going to hobble towards my office.”, he said making no further comment, he began a starboard swagger towards his sanctuary. (Reply from Michaella, Any) (Posted by Anthony Keen) (USS Spectre - Engineering - ACEO, Ensign Marianne Yelick - 18:54) "Hmm, Yes. You've got to be limber to do that sort of work." Jake gave her a grin and wink that the CEO couldn't see. "Some stretching beforehand might have been advisable if he really wants to get down and dirty with the unannounced inspections." She couldn't help the incredible unprofessional snicker that escaped, it was just she hadn't expected anyone sensible, and the ensign seemed quite sensible, to play along. Then the Ensign seemed to go hoblie-woblie. "That is strange, wasn't I just doing something else?" His gaze was definitely elsewhere "Computer what is the ship's time?" "Uh, Ensign Haltom?" Marianne asked, taking a step back. It was about then that coblie-woblie went huey-kablooey. The Ensign brandished weaponry that wasn't there, shouted at the ceiling, running about and seemingly battling a foe. Wasn't there supposed to be some sort of protection? Or was the mind-expert too busy helping the Chief of Engineering? Marianne sure wasn't sure what her duty was in this one! None of her training had covered how to fix hallucinating humanoids, although she had had that one course in computing and how to deal with computer viruses. "Oh the hell with it," she muttered and decided she'd do what any Mom would. She strode over to Jake and grabbed him by the arm to spin him around, "SNAP OUT OF IT!" she yelled, using her best mom voice. She'd have employed the three name rule if she knew his full name. Somehow she didn't think starting with 'Ensign' would have the same effect. "Who are you and what are you doing in the game?" He shouted in the being's face. "I don't have time for you, Alduin awaits." "You bloody well better make time, mister!" she yelled right back. It was her best 'You listen to me or dire things will happen!' voice, too. "This is no game! You have duties to attend to!" She barked, reaching up and snapping her fingers in-front of his nose. Riven instantly picked up on the good humor associated with the statement and gave the Ensign a warm smile and a chuckle; the argument almost instantly forgotten. Sestan cooked his head and turned his attention once again to watch the the Commander's vital signs in case his intervention was necessary. "Well that explains why the commander is going crazy. I guess why the captain wanted me to bring here. I am assuming that you guys are working on some super awesome magic mind shield thing." "It's not in any way magic I assure you," the Betazoid grinned. "Merely a discipline the CO of the Mystique and I developed for use in a similar situation. At this very moment I am shielding the minds of those present and other telepaths are forming a chain around the ship to protect more of the crew." "Well, I will do my best to keep my mind sharp. But I need to get back to duty, I am supposed to take over at Security Station Foxtrot on deck 13 in about ten minutes, give or take. Any suggestion or little mind warp you can do to help me keep my sanity." The security officer asked. Before Riven could answer Sestan spoke up. "It is very simple. You merely have to understand and believe that what you experience which is abnormal is merely Illusion and phantasms at which point you may dismiss them as irrelevant." NRPG: Anyone remember "Specter of The Gun, Original Series"? A shameless plug for my favorite Star Trek series of course. :-) RPG: Riven gave him an exasperated look. "Not every species has such mental disciplines as the Vulcans do." Sestan cooked his head. "An outgrowth of our strict adherence to logic doctor which overrides the emotional connotations of sensory input in which you put so much value." Riven retort was derailed as Will reported the Commander's successful delivery to the Captain. His silence was equal parts respect for the CO and the desire to NOT be overheard inciting an argument. "Frost to Bridge, Captain, the first officer has been delivered safely to sickbay." (reply T'Vhor iyw) "Frost Out" Riven turned back to the Vulcan as Frost began to leave but his rejoinder was again forestalled as the security officer stopped and interjected a point. Emotionless, feelingless, an Iceman." Riven chuckled at the man's expostulation as he took his leave of sickbay. "Well said." "So you agree with him that fighting, wars, petty bickering, anger, jealousy and the wide ranging gamut of negative emotions are essential to a fulfilling life experience? Sestan asked dryly. "I didn't say that! The Betazoid spluttered. "It was implied in your statement doctor." Riven was feeling the heat of the spotlight and decided discretion was the better part of valor ... for now. "How is the Commander doing?" "Her recovery will be without impairment." Was the emotionless reply. "Good! I had better get back to my meditations." Having said that he beat a retreat and returned to his chair. The scanner was still active and it's readings he noted showed an accelerated heart rate and slightly elevated blood pressure which he knew was due to his agitated state. No one could get under a person's skin like a Vulcan wielding logic like a bludgeon. As he relaxed and dropped back into the trance he was already formulating arguments for the next round until his mind was fully clear and he had returned to stillness. "This is no game! You have duties to attend to!" She then did something decidedly unexpected, reaching out with one hand and snapping her fingers in his face. Jake took a step back and shook his head in confusion, his eyes shot from her to Alduin who was hovering high in the air and laughing in a mocking fashion. His Lieutenant broke into a dive apparently meaning to make him a shish-ka-bob. "Don't you see him?" He shouted and pointed to the immense black dragon who was Akatosh the Time Dragon's 'reset button' for Nirn. "The World Eater has returned. I have to kill him before he lays waste to existence." How was he going to make her understand? She seemed totally unaware of the danger she was in! (Reply: Yelick) Now he was even more confused. He looked from her to the dragons, one of which had opened his mouth and was on the verge of shouting "Yol Tur Shul" which would barbecue him where he stood if he didn't ready SpellBreaker. He half-raised the shield then turned back toward the woman, a spark of recognition now appearing in his eyes. "Hey you are..." He closed his eyes as his voice trailed off and squeezed them shut forcing moisture down his cheeks as the roar of the dragon's impending breath weapon began to rise. Seconds seemed to drain by interminably as the sounds of the holodeck began to fade and other more mundane hums and footsteps as well as subdued whispering rose in his ears. He kept his eyes shut for several more ticks before opening them again, only to find Alduin and the icy tundra had disappeared along with his armor and weapons. Instead Yelick and Doctor Kirien were looking at him like he was a bug in a jar. He sucked in a deep breath and noticed that the chief had left the area which he was grateful for. ~I hope he didn't see that little display.~ He held up a hand as one of them started to speak. "Ensign Yelick, please report to the CEO's Office.", he said as he opened a desk draw with one hand and with grace and practice that had evolved from years of experience, swept all the padds, notes, articles and general desk clutter into the draw. It closed in one single stroke and that left him with a clear desk. "Much better.", he said turning on his computer... he began accessing the logs from the past 24 hours. "Blast it." she growled, she knew she shouldn't have caught her boss' attention. She'd been working happily as a cog and now he was going to interrupt and destroy her routine. "Do you some good to socialize and change things up," the voice of her old master told her. Marianne swung her head around to see the source of the voice, but there was no one there and the only noise was the happy humming of the conduits. "Shatter and shard it." she grumped as she clambered down the ladder. Hadn't there been some 'protect the brains' plan of the ship's telepaths? Maybe they could only shield a certain number of people? At least she wasn't petting bunnies or something daft. It was a short trip the chief's office, with possessed a surprisingly PADD free desk. She blinked rapidly, trying to equate the concept of 'engineer' with 'someone who does their paperwork.' Maybe he had stolen someone from the admin pool, or bribed the Captain's aide or something. Chances he did not want to take. So he did his best to focus on only one thing getting to Security Station Foxtrot which was located inside engineering. As he walked through, he couldn't help but feel unease, what if one of the engineers went as bonkers as the first officer, and you know, accidentally detonated the warp core. That would be bad. ~No, No, No, Focus, focus, block of ice, heart of stone, security station foxtrot, is my home.~ Still, he couldn't help but let his mind wander, as frustrating as it was. Kowalski looked to Kindell laying on the floor, her face etched with pain as the medic injected her with pain relief and then began assessing the damage with a medical tricorder, then he made his way to Houseman. "What in God's name is going on here!", he hollered, Houseman shaking his head in dismay and clearly disorientated now as Jacobs moved aside, to reveal a familiar face. Kowalski's jaw dropped. "Who the hell reactivated you!", he hollered, looking right into the holograms eyes before quickly turning to everyone else in the room one at a time. "Who put this light job of a clown back online", asked Kowalski, eager now for a reply from someone, anyone. The thing was though that nobody had an answerto that. Not even Rameriz himself it would seem. "I'll deal with you later", he said dismissively, remembering back to the time that Rameriz had deactivated himself. What was he doing out of the computer now though? Could this possibly be something to do with the void. Whatever the case the real concern now was for Kindell, and Houseman who seemed to be at a loss to explain anything. Suddenly though, jibberish seemed to fit for the holo-marine was pretty conversant in jibberish. Perhaps he had more to do with all this than he was letting on. Houseman continued on trying to explain himself, still in jibberish of course. "Sir, I thought that 2nd Lieutenant Kindell was an enemy coming to kill me Sir which is why I fired at her." "Not another word Lieutenant!", said Kowalski, "you better hope and pray that Kindell comes through this. Meanwhile, my office. Finally, he'd had enough and ran out to the doors of two foots. He threw a toy hard and high enough to open the doors and fled out of them. The big hallway was no stranger, but his two foot wasn't there. His two foot was never there. He liked his two foot, but sometimes said two foot was most inconsiderate. Mark sat and washed his face, having escaped the scary things and tried to decide where to look for his two foot. There weren't any two feet in the corridor. Sometimes they'd take him to his two foot, sometimes they'd put him back in his den. He didn't want to go back to his den, so he was better off trying to find his two foot on his own. He hopped down the corridor and was quite surprised to see a very big blue box at the end of it. His ears raised as he studied the box, it was familiar in some strange way. A two foot in the strangest clothing and head fur style opened half of the front of the box and leaned out. "Well, come on then? Didn't you want to go to Wonderland?" Mark wasn't sure about any of this, but strange two foots with big boxes was very less scary than shadows that try to steal your ears or beds that tried to eat you. A house rabbit can achieve speeds of 35 km/h. Mark probably didn't hit that speed as he ran down the corridor and into the blue box. He was quite disappointed to find the inside of the strange box looked just like one of the moving boxes that changed which corridor you were on. He sighed and waited. "Chico, you were like mind crazy. You don'ts get to claim mind crazy shots. It's like a rule, right boss", said Rameriz interjecting the MXO's thoughts for a moment or two. What in gods name was he on about? thought Bruce. Maybe it was a rule in Rameriz's twisted rule book, but not in the MXO's. The point was that one of his crew had fired upon another, and friendly fire, the scourge of the corp, was not to be taken lightly. Kowalski said nothing, but his expression probably spoke more than his words ever could. The drumming upon the table top stopped abruptly, Bruce settled back into his chair and then exhaled heavily. "Right now", he began, "you know I should stow you House. This is no place for a light trigger finger. You understand, yes?", he inquired. (Reply Houseman) "The truth though is that I need every man and woman on this detail active. Nobody knows what this place will throw at us next and it's only because I know you well, that your actions were not entirely your own and that we are currently under a section 9 priority order that your not under guard right now", said Kowalski, pausing then in thought before continuing on. "Nobody is to move about the ship from this point on without being buddied. Everyone has a safeguard in back. Nobody is going anywhere alone. Do I make myself clear?", he added. (Reply Houseman, Rameriz) Kowalski turned to the Holo-Marine, who shifted on his feet as the XO's gaze bore into him. Questions, always questions when it came to Jose, and Bruce knew that any explanation was probably going to be as warped as the mans linguistic skills. Needless to say, he quieried him anyway. "Rameriz, Rameriz, Rameriz.", said Kowalski, running the name through his thoughts as though still not quite sure what to do about him. "So, do you want to take a shot at explaining how the hell you managed to get reactivated without anyones notice, Marine?", he asked. "And then perhaps whilst you are at it, you can explain how your sudden reappearance ties in with Houseman here", he added, "because I'd be willing to bet my last credit that you ARE involved here somewhere along the lines" (Reply Rameriz) (Posted by Alan) (USS Spectre - MXO's Office – Marine, Corporal Houseman - 19:20) Houseman remained to stiff attention as he listened to Kowalski speak to him. Rameriz's brow furrowed, he wasn't quite sure how that'd work when he could transfer himself between points and Houseman couldn't. On the other hand, if he argued, he might get stuck with the obnoxious HMO. He shuddered internally and nodded an enthusiastic agreement to the order. He felt his turn in the hot seat when the MXO turned to look straight at him. He almost squirmed under the glare. "Rameriz, Rameriz, Rameriz.", Kowalski said over and over. It took all of Jose's limited self-control not to say "Yes, yes, yes?" "So, do you want to take a shot at explaining how the hell you managed to get reactivated without anyone's notice, Marine?", The MXO asked. "And then perhaps whilst you are at it, you can explain how your sudden reappearance ties in with Houseman here", he added, "because I'd be willing to bet my last credit that you ARE involved here somewhere along the lines" He started with a manic reply that would be an artful work of B.S. that any marine would be incredibly proud of as he marched off to do K.P. till the end of time. Rameriz then closed his mouth and tried again. "I don'ts know." he said meeting his C.O's eyes, "Nots really. I means, the records say I gots deleted and remnants deep spaced. Approaching Smith, he tried to focus his mind on staying focused. Unfortunately that wasn't working, not because he was losing it, no, but because he was making a terrible conspiracy theory. "Hows it going today Ensign, we feeling alright?" Scott turned and saw Will standing beside him. (reply Smith) (reply Smith, any) (posted by WB) (USS Spectre - MXO's Office – MXO, Major Bruce Kowalski - 19:22) Rameriz was hardly adding anything constructive to this discussionright now. Indeed, all he had actually said in response to the Major's query was 'I don'ts know', followed by a Ramerizesque rehash of Housemans somewhat bizarre version of events. It all apparently had something to do with Akantee 5,which was the only thing that seemed to be a common element in both of their stories, but that still didn't explain why the holo-marine had been reactivated. It had to be involuntary though because Rameriz himself had pulled his own plug so to speak. He had effectively commited suicide a year or so ago, so why he would suddenly choose to show up again was a complete misnomer. Rameriz offered yet more of his inane cackle that even the UT sometimes got stuck on... "It's like .. Y'knows when you're on R'n'R, and you let's a Betazoid play puppetmaster when playing Hopeless Poker? That was the look he had, like he was home, but he wasn't the one in command, or likes.. he wasn't looking in this universe.", he began. "I knows I sounds even craziers than usuals, but alls I can tells you, boss, is that someone musta put a clause in that if I was needed, I'd show up. I don'ts know why it tripped that I was needed here/now." Kowalski pondered that for a moment or two and then shook his head in disbelief. So Rameriz was some kind of modern day King Arthur now? A hero to show up when all was lost? Who the hell had wrote that clause into his program then, if indeed it had even been written? To be honest it stank of having been written by Rameriz himself because the very statement he'd just given was about as large as the holo-marines own ego! "Unless maybe 'cause I'm really just a 'puter, the crazy can't attacks me so I can help keep others on the rails?" The Major quirked his head at that last sentence. Was he going mad now as well, or was Rameriz actually beginning to make sense there? As ridiculous as it actually sounded though his sudden appearance could indeed actually assist them here. A 'puter', as he had called himself, free of a mind that could be controlled? That just might work! Houseman looked on, still at attention, so the Major put him at ease and he relaxed just a little. "You know, Rameriz has a point here", he said, catching the bewildered Houseman a little off guard for a moment it would seem. "He's correct in that he can't be affected like the rest of us right now. He's a perfect control", said Kowalski. (Reply Houseman, Rameriz, IYW) Kowalski stood from his desk and then began pacing, the reports of mental breakdowns on all decks still fresh in his mind as he ratified the situation. It was the oddest thing, here they were half out of their minds and at the mercy of some psychotropic void, and their best chance for control was now probably the most out of control Marine Kowalski had ever known! Was he 'really' thinking that, or was the void even now playing tricks on him and convincing him that Rameriz was actually talking sense. "Oh Lord gimme strength", said Kowalski, "I need some down time for sure. OK, we'll deal with how you returned from your exile another time soldier. For now, you're on the away team when we get the go ahead from the CO to board the Garallon." (Reply Rameriz) Of course, Rameriz wasn't even aware of what was going on right now was he. As far as he was concerned, they might as well be in orbit of Risa and about to go party with the natives. He knew nothing of the missing academy training ship, the rumours of another parasitic infiltration of the fleet, or who was even in command of the Marines right now, and that needed to be rectified forthwith... "Houseman, I want you to bring our photonic friend here up to speed on whats been happening of late. Fill him in on everything, do not leave anything out", said the Major. (Reply Houseman) "Kowalski nodded. "I hate to admit it, but if we all lose our marbles in this place, then this freakin light show will be all that stands between us and a lifetime of madness. Bring him up to speed, and make it quick. You are dismissed!", barked Kowalski, wondering then if he actually was doing the right think in putting all their eggs in Rameriz' one, somewhat lopsided basket... She looked at him and blinked for a moment as she tried to work out where it was real or part of some trick of the mind. “Hi Mark, what are you doing here.” She stooped down and scooped him up. “You really should not be here it’s not safe.” She stroked him, cuddling him close to here. Few people held him properly. His own two foot had a connection that let him know 'I don't like this' vs 'Fine, I'll put up with this but there better be treats in my future.' The fact was, he knew there was a universe of things looking to eat him and he could move faster than any two foot in this artificial den. Two foots had their uses, but he didn't have a whole lot of faith in their ability to protect his tail from teeth. He started to squirm in Jo's arms and was happier to be passed to the much more solid security officer. He stretched up to sniff the man's neck and chin. Someone had been eating something yummy, surely he could be convinced to share some with a starving bunny. They were making mouth noises at each other. Mark sighed and settled back down. They'd get around to food sooner or later, two feet might not eat enough, but they did at least eat. This one seemed to eat the yucky things that Mark didn't appreciate, unlike his two foot who only ate tasty leafy and veggie things. Not enough papaya, though. No one ever thought of the bunny when there was papaya around and Mark thought it quite the crime unto itself. At least there were no shadows trying to get at him or beds trying to eat him. Not that he believed he was fully safe, beds could be cunning foes when they wanted. (Reply Smith) The Captain pondered that for a moment or two. Indeed, how could anybody be specific about anything right now? The effects of the void was already having an affect on a lot of people and for all they knew, the fire might not even be real! After all, if there really was a fire then surely internal sensors would have detected it and activated the fire suppression system. Looking down at his console and querying the system status panel, the Captain could see than no such thing had occured. "Who is in the area affected?", enquired the Captain. (Reply Smith) Windsong-Trommashere and the CEO? How could that be? Their comm signature showed them elsewhere, or was that yet another glitch in reality? The Captain's thoughts then drifted to Riven and the telepathic firewall they had set up. She nodded and she pulled her tank top off to reveal just a sports bra. She sat up straight so he could go over all the wounds and scars. As the dermis and epidermis of her skin began to repair, she winced and flinched. "Do you want any pain killers?" She shook her head, sighing deeply at the scrape across her rib cage that was being repaired. The sigh caused her to start coughing; it was a deep, productive cough. She looked at the black tinged sputum on the back of her hand and she grabbed a sterilizer from behind her and she cleaned off her hands. "How's your chest feeling? Do you need anything?" Angeni nodded. "Yeah. Maybe two grams of Ancef, a load of Tri-Ox, and Tessalon for the cough. I've inhaled enough nasty stuff that I could get bacterial Pneumonia in just a day or two..." "Verify the contacts as real, record their coordinates and any relevant data that might enable us to locate them again if they are lost", said the Captain, this time directing his order to the Science Officer. (Reply Science) So, the contacts were real, albeit apparently slipping out of focus and seemingly disappearing. The important thing though was that this could be the Garallon. It was certainly of a similar size but then given the nature of this place it could also be the wrecked hulk of something else that had had the misfortune to enter into it, and the smaller contact might just prove to be a powered up sensor probe. It was obvious then that she had been hallucinating the experience. There was a 78% possibility that she had been taken into custody at that time, an 18% chance that she had a friend or relative that had and a 4% possibility that she had no personal experience with the occupation according to his mental calculations. Her vital signs had returned to normal, undoubtedly due both to the sedative and the shield the emotional mind healer was holding over sickbay. The Vulcan turned his attention to sickbay at large and noted that the CMO and another of the doctors had returned to medical and indeed as he watched the Dr. Williams gave a visible start as his eyes turned to the Commander and he spoke to the female doctor with him. Can you give me an up date?” (Reply Sestan) (Trommashere, Sestan , any) (Posted by Robbie) (USS Spectre - Sickbay – Emergency Medic, Sestan - 20:10) Dr. Willams nodded in agreement and tried unsuccessfully to hold back a dry cough until the Vulcan had finished his preliminary report as he gazed in the direction of the First Officer. “Okay we will keep her under sedation until we get out of here.” Sestan gave a nearly infinitesimal nod of affirmation in reply and awaited any further instructions. The CMO's gaze traveled about the room as he further digested what was currently transpiring then addressed the dark haired and pointed eared Ops officer with a request for further information. “Who’s the marine over there? Can you give me an update?” Sestan changed his posture a bit, his hands uncupped and he folded his arms loosely about his chest then intoned emotionlessly as he turned his head to look toward the marine's bed which was currently being staffed by a doctor and nurse. "Second Lieutenant Kindell doctor. She was attacked by another marine using his phaser rifle at a high setting. The augmented armor covering her symbiont was breached and she suffered severe damage in that region. Staff is currently working to stabilize both her and the symbiont." (Reply: Williams, Trommashere) Sestan watched them hurry off and turned to the door to await the entrance of any crew with needs as he mentally calculated the marine's chances of survival. At the moment using the bio signs and time since the incident as a baseline that possibility was a mere thiry eight point two percent with an eight point three percent variable due to the CMO's greater experience. The adroitness of Dr. Trommashere was an unknown modifier which could increase those odds if she were skilled enough. Time would tell of course if his calculations were correct. He was standing there in a relaxed posture when they brought a security officer in who's right arm was nearly severed below the elbow. The effects of the Void it seemed were becoming more malignant. He directed the medical team to a recently vacated biobed and began working to staunch the bleeding and repair the damage until a fully qualified doctor or nurse could be spared to finish the job though he was more than skilled enough to manage the task until its completion. If you need anything don’t hesitate to come and find me.” (Reply Sestan IYW) He looked over at Angine. “Let’s see what we can do.” (Reply Trommashere) He moved over to the bio-bed and looked at the status of Kindell’s vital signs. His heart sank as he saw what was on the monitor. ~She’s lost a lot of blood and there is tissue and organ damage around the symbiont. Ow that’s just so grate~ He looked over at Angine and gave her a determined smile. “Okay Angine let’s get started. Kindell or the symbiont?” (Reply Trommashere) (Reply Sestan, Trommashere, any) (Posted by Robbie) (USS Spectre - Sickbay – ACMO, Ens. A.O. Windsong-Trommashere - 20:15) “Let’s see what we can do.” Angeni nodded and set the padd she was looking at down. She followed him over to the biobed and she whipped out a tricorder, scanning Kindell with it. Her brow furrowed; the Symbiont was injured, but was hanging on. Kindell was another story. With her vitals in flux, she wasn't sure who to work on first. She rolled her head around on her neck, trying to loosen up the muscles when it came to her; the two of them would have to work fast and dirty, not unlike trying to fix a humanoid Fetus and a humanoid at the same time. She turned to see Andrew looking at her. “Okay Angine let’s get started. Kindell or the symbiont?” "I guess I'll work on the Symbiont.. We should be able to remove the Symbiont long enough to perform a quick procedure; I'll do the micro repairs while you fix the abdominal cavity. We need to get her moved to the other side of the bay, away from the movement of people..." (Reply Williams) She walked over to the supply cabinet and pulled out the micro surgical tools along with something that resembled a human incubator. She set a timer on top and set it for twenty minutes; she didn't want to have the Symbiont out for longer than absolutely necessary. She set up her tools in the incubator and she turned on the internal sterilizer; the inside of the incubator flashed blue for a few moments, then a green light appeared on the console. She moved the incubator over next to Kindell and she prepped herself for surgery. Once she was completely sterile, she stood at the ready, her hands in the air in front of her as she nodded at Andrew. "Make the first cut, my friend." Andrew nodded. “Yeh this is going to be tricky enough as it is.” He watched as Angeni walked over to the supply cabinet and pulled out the micro surgical tools along with something that resembled a human incubator. He turned back and looked at the two nurses that were near by. “Can we move her over to the corner bay for the surgery?” The two nurses nodded and began to move Kindel. He moved over a picked up one of the surgical trays and opened its outer non-sterile layer. His part of the operation was the less complex which meant that the instruments were standard. He put on his gown and slid on his gloves. He was now as sterile as he was going to get. He picked up the sterile instrument tray and moved to the bio-bed which now had a surgical frame attached which was humming softly. He looked up as Angeni stepped opposite him. ~I really need to look at symbiont anatomy. We seem to be having to do operations on them a lot recently~ "Make the first cut, my friend." He took a deep breath, closed his eyes calming his mind pushing all the other problems out of his mind so that he could focused. He breathed out slowly; he looked over at Angeni and gave her a quick smile. “Right then let’s get going.” He picked up the exoscalpel and active it. He felt the reassuring feeling of it in his hand. He placed his hand over the abdomen to pull the skin a little tension so that the cut would be nice and clean. With the use of dermal regenerators which would remove any scar after surgery there was no real reason to be the cautious but old habits die hard.He sliced into Kindle parting the layers of skin and abdominal muscle until he got into the abdominal space. His friend Jay who was also a surgeon had said that operating on symbiont used some of the same techniques as delivering a baby by caesarean section. He slid his whole hand in and gently found the where the symbiont was with his fingers. He looked up at Angeni. “I’ve got the symbiont. Bring it out.” (Reply Trommashere) He slid his other hand in gently placing on above and the other below and carefully manoeuvred it out of the abdominal incision. It came out with a wet sucking sound. ~Yeh deffinalty delivering a baby~ He handed it to Angeni with a smile. “All yours.” (Reply Trommashere) (Reply Trommashere ,any) (Posted by Robbie) =====================================================================
