He was disappointed about the situation with the data and how it would affect the treatment of the parasites. He moved to the back of the bridge where he positioned himself by a bulk head so that he was out of the way. ~I have not been on a defiant class for a long time~ He looked around the small bridge and gave himself a mental smile. There were similarities with the Rome and the SS Hepburn. They were the same hull and exterior but in side they were two different types of ship. The Hepburn was an old hull which Albatross Organisation had acquired from Starfleet as part of its mothball repurposing fleet. They had taken it to their ship yard in the mariner system where they had stripped it of most of its armament and began its conversion for its new role as a Rapid Search and Rescue vessel. They had expanded the sickbay dramatically as well as turned the warhead nose of the ship into a large airlock and triage area. As a very new search and rescue specialist he had not spent a lot of time on the bridge but it had a nice air of familiarity which had been lacking recently. He focused his wandering mind back on to the bridge letting voices and conversations as he watched the view screen. (Reply any) (Posted by Robbie) (USS Rome - Bridge - Ensign Michael Sorenson - 18:50) Michael watched the readouts on the screen. All systems were in the green, the probe was ready. "Mr. Sorenson, how are the preparations." Michael looked up to see Lieutenant Palmer leaning over. "All systems are good to go, sir. The probe is ready and I am confident that it will perform at 100%. The scanners are linked so all data will feed back into your station." (Reply Palmer) Michael tapped a few commands, bringing up the main display for the probe. "As soon as we're sure we are on the right track the probe can be launched. If the Spectre is there, we'll see it." (Reply Palmer) "The only problem being that the probe has no steering capability. Straight shot. One use." (Reply Palmer) (Posted by Brandon) (USS Rome - Bridge - CSO LT.jg Kurt Palmer – 18:53) "...The scanners are linked so all data will feed back into your station." Ensign Sorenson finished filling Kurt in "So we're down to the wire now."He replied as the security chief brought up the status report. "As soon as we're sure we are on the right track the probe can be launched. If the Spectre is there, we'll see it." Kurt nodded as he looked through the data on the screen. "The only problem being that the probe has no steering capability. Straight shot. One use." "Well, we'll have to make sure we get it right the first time then." Kurt paused. "Now, can you tell me why we're on yellow alert?" (Reply, Sorenson, any) ((Post by Cody)) (USS Rome - Bridge - Ensign Michael Sorenson - 18:56) "Well, we'll have to make sure we get it right the first time then." Kurt paused. "Now, can you tell me why we're on yellow alert?" Michael looked up. "We believe the Spectre is in the asteroid field ahead of us. Hopefully this probe will get its usage." (Reply Palmer) "Yes. I will need someone to get down to the forward torpedo bay and manually prime the sensor kit just before launch." (Reply Palmer) "If we had it activated already the power source would have been drained before we could get into position. Perhaps ensigns Alexander and Markell could be of some assistance?"
