Turned up at the local Marine recruiting office on the first day she was legally allowed to join. during a blisteringly cold day.
Recruiters refused to take her seriously due to stature and age, so was turned away. The young Sara sat outside and stared at them, enduring the brutal weather until they realised that she wasn't going anywhere, and had something that the Corps could mould.
