FAMILY AND BACKGROUND
Born on stardate 2381.01.15 in Kansas City, Kansas. His mother was a homemaker, and his father was a pipe fitter. When he was 5, his parents divorced and he lived with his mother until he moved out to attend college. He never saw his father again.
PRE-STARFLEET HISTORY
Traveled all the time with his mother. That is why he was home schooled because he was never in one place long enough to attend traditional school. He did however develop an appreciation for the history of all the different places he had been to.
He attended Hardy-Knox University and received a Degree in History with a minor in literature.
After graduation, he enlisted in Starfleet in order to pay-off all his school loans.

STARFLEET HISTORY
2403.09.12 Enlisted (E-3); 2403.12.11 USS El Caney, Yeoman; 2407.09.11 Honorable Discharge (PO2); 2408.01.05 Starfleet Academy, Student/Cadet; 2409.03.01 USS Lejune, Operations Officer; 2411.03.17 USS Cavalier, Chief of Operations; 2412.06.26 Honorable Discharge (LT (jg)); 2413.09.23 Involuntary Recall to Active Service (LT (sg)); 2413.09.25 USS Cavalier, 2nd Officer/Chief of Operations; 2414.02.13 USS Rosenante, Chief Science Officer.// Tamblyn enlisted in Starfleet and after training was stationed aboard the USS El Caney (Ambassador-class) where he served as a Yeoman. The El Caney was patrolling the Cardassian border during the battle of Sector 001 and the end of the Civil War on stardate 2407.07.09
Tamblyn's enlistment ended shortly after the war. He then attended classes at Starfleet Academy to become an Operations officer.
After completing courses needed at Starfleet Academy, he was assigned to the USS Lejune (Nova-class) which was detailed to be part of the search for one of the five missing ships of the 52nd Fleet. Specifically, the USS Rosenante which had gone missing on stardate 2408.12.27.
Tamblyn was later transferred to the USS Cavalier (Excelsior-class) which was actively engaged on the front line of the Heatherby Revolt (2411.01.20 - 2412.02.14). After Admiral Heatherby and several noteworthy members of the Irregular Federation Forces (IFF) disappeared, Starfleet declared victory.
Shortly thereafter, Tamblyn was again seperating from Starfleet. During the process he signed an affidavit volunteering for the latest incarnation of the Irregular Federation Forces (IFF). As a civilian, he began teaching History and Literature as a Post-Graduate Student at the University of Florida where he continued to work on earning his Masters Degree in History.
When the missing ships of the 52nd Fleet re-appeared on 2413.09.23 just as mysteriously as they had vanished; Tamblyn was recalled to active duty by Starfleet. Once again stationed aboard the USS Cavalier and promoted to Lieutenant (sg). The Cavalier was assigned to be part of the armada that the 5 ships of the 52nd Fleet rendezvoused with.
