For the first twelve years of her life Brigid moved from ship to ship, starbase to starbase and planet to planet with her parents. Her parents were both medical officers, often transferred but almost always together. She was a happy and carefree child, in love with starships and the places she got to visit with her parents. This all changed when her parents left her behind on earth after being assigned a classified mission. They both died on that mission, leaving Brigid to be raised by her grandparents in Dublin. This event changed her, leaving her distrustful of authority and a little less carefree.

Pre-Starfleet History

Brigid chose to take Programming and Computer Sciences for a reason. Not only did she love all things technical, but she also chose it to further her own goals. Starfleet had refused to tell her how and why her parents had died. She was determined to find out, even if that meant falling back on less legal means. While at Uni she joined a student activist organization dedicated to disclosing classified materials to the public. The group started off as a large idealistic group of free thinkers. It quickly devolved. Soon Brigid and other core members had removed themselves from most databases and were making a nuisance of themselves, hacking into sealed systems and releasing the contents to the public. Brigid became Call, the tattooed activist and hacker. Things came to a head the same year Call finished University. Members of the core group, jaded and much more extreme than Call decided that their message was being ignored. They decided to attack Starfleet shuttles with a virus, trapping the personnel in shuttles and holding them hostage until Starfleet made public all of its classified documents. Horrified Call destroyed the virus, freeing the members of Starfleet and turning herself and her friends in. At her trial Call was offered a choice. Go to prison with the rest of her group, or join Starfleet and make up for what she had done. Call took Starfleet up on their offer, happy for a second chance, and joined the Academy.

Aside from the application of her tattoos Call has had no surgery or any notable illnesses.

Skills

Call has a nack for all things computers. She has a natural affinity for working with AI and program development. She is a freethinker, attacking problems from multiple angles until she finds a solution that sticks. She is sometimes a little difficult to work with but that is tempered by her genuine gratitude to Starfleet for giving her a second chance.
