Edward seems to be normal in his height and build. The kind one would expect to blend into a crowd. His black hair has far too many grey hairs for his age, making him look five to six years older. While he keeps his face clean shaven, his face does carry a pronounced five o'clock shadow. |

Pre-Starfleet History |
: |
Doctor Edward Bartholemew Sutton DMD BMSc Grad Dip (Ship Med) FDSRCS, was born on Earth in the Australia Region. He was seen as a serious child growing up and as a result, tended to be the butt of practical jokes and teasing in his formative years in primary school.
High school wasn't much better as he easily became bored with the curriculum-based work. This didn't mean he was a dull student. Even so, he was still prone to the usual teasing by his classmates, who came from extremely wealthy families. Despite this, Edward was able to graduate with good marks and be accepted into the University of New South Wales.
Although Edward initially intended to study Medicine, his scores proved to be lacking to be accepted into the Undergraduate Medical programme and so he decided to study for a Bachelor of Medical Science majoring in Pathology. Pathology managed to pique his interests, and he saw it as an opportunity to explore what made sentient beings tick on a cellular level. He graduated in the top twenty-five percent of his class, although he just fell short of gaining his honours.
It was while he was studying Pathology that Edward began to learn about Dentistry through a fellow student, who had become a good friend. The specialised nature and the focus on maintaining aesthetics at the same time drew Edward like a moth to a flame. He saw it as a form of medical art, as well as possible way to become some form of medical practitioner.
Once he had graduated, Edward began studies at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Dentistry, basing himself out of the Sydney Dental Hospital for his training. He took to his studies and practical training like a fish to water and at times sacrificed any social life to ensure he learned all he could on a particular subject. His hard work paid off, graduating in the top ten of his class, which was surprising as he was one of the last students accepted onto the course. He turned down an offer to study for his PhD as he felt that he wanted to gain some practical experience before considering the world of academia.
It was just after his graduation from Dental School, that his mother passed away from an aggressive illness. This proved to be an eye opener to Edward and he realised the true fragility of life. He saw a galaxy that he needed to explore and so he applied to Starfleet Academy, with preference as a Medical Officer, sub-specialising in Dentistry. While at the Academy, Edward has earned a Graduate Diploma in Shipboard Medicine. |
Starfleet History |
: |
Since graduating, Edward has been assigned to the USS Rosenante as a Medical Officer (Dental). |
Medical History |
: |
Edward is outwardly quite healthy. His only known medical condition is a self-correcting s-curve scoliosis, which gives him a slight lean to the left. This condition has not caused him any form of discomfort or pain. As the vertebrae sit on each other quite normally, and the subluxations are mild, there is no need for surgery or bracing, although Starfleet Medical will continue to monitor for any progression. |
Skills |
: |
Edward seems to be one of those people that can turn his hand to anything, although he does tend to excel in a few key areas, most notably, Dentistry and Pathology. However, while he does enjoy scientific pursuits, he also has excelled as a marksman, although he may not be a candidate for the Marines. This is mostly attributed to his excellent eyesight, and attention to detail. |

Hobbies |
: |
A dedicated Baha'i since his mid-twenties, Edward has an interest in studying different religions. This is mainly due to his belief that the best way to understand a civilisation is through it's predominant religion. In addition to this, he can be found on the holodecks running, or playing golf. |
General Notes |
: |
He is ambitious and intends to one day gain a command. He also takes care of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Einstein, who sometimes sleeps under Edward's office desk when he works. |

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
