Jonathan is one of three children in the Ross family. His father, a Starfleet Commander, was the First Officer of the USS Excalibur for three years before retiring from Starfleet. His mother was a civilian living on the remote world of Askarii Prime. His younger siblings were Timothy Ross and Alice Ross. Timothy has always dreamt of joining Starfleet when he is old enough but his younger sister Alice, has other plans. The Ross family is very close but each member seems to be lightyears apart. The absence of John's family weighs heavily upon him. However, it is his duty in Starfleet to not let his emotions effect his career.

Pre-Starfleet History

When John graduated from Northmont High School, he knew Starfleet was his path. His father, Commander Thomas Ross, was always an icon to Jonathan when he was growing up. He always dreams of following in his father's footsteps. With this career in mind, John was forced to learn as much about Starfleet as he could before joining. He spent most of his time studying about the Sovereign Class battleship. After hearing the stories of the Enterprise-E, he knew that the Sovereign was his favorite. Aside studying starships, John learned a lot about honor and leadership from his father. After learning from his father, John wanted to become an Officer. He felt that that is where he belonged. On a Starship. Making a difference. When John turned 21, he was knocking on Starfleet's door.

Skills

Jonathan Ross is a born leader. He has the ability to command and operate under stressful environments. When John was in high school, he was a platoon commander in a Starfleet JROTC unit. Many of his fellow cadets said that John looked calm and alert during drill meets. It was almost like he had been doing it all of his life.
