Small, petite build. Hair so black it has a bluish sheen to it. Almond-shaped eyes which twinkle with good humour most of the time but can harden to a diamond-glare if the need arises. Hoshimi exudes confidence and despite her smaller stature has an air of command which is not easily (or sensibly) ignored. |

Hoshimi’s parents both served in Starfleet and from an early age it was Hoshimi’s ambition to follow in their footsteps. Her name means Starlight Moonriver, which she always felt was an omen.
Her husband, Ito Kurasawa, was killed durning the Civil War.
One daughter, Minori, not currently living with Hoshimi. |

Accepted into the Academy at the first attempt after completing her doctorate. Specialised in Security and OPS.
On graduation Hoshimi was assigned to the USS Rose of Samarkand under the captaincy of Archibald Stakes and remained on board until the ship defected to the 52nd during the Civil War. Was removed from the Rose with the rest of the crew and after extensive debriefing was reassigned to the USS Starstalker where she spent the rest of the Civil War. Took part in the decisive battle for the Mars Defensive Perimeter. Afterwards, in the aftermath of the Civil War, Hoshimi returned to Earth to find that her husband had been executed as a traitor after the defection of the Rose of Samarkand.
Has served on several ships in the 52nd since the end of the Civil War 5 years ago.
