History, Education and Skills
Family and Background :

Dav Maxon grew up on a farm near the town of Arnmere, 30 kilometers from the major Trill city Llanfarr. With his sister Enith, he dreamed of exploring the universe. She, however, stayed behind on the farm, where she still lives with her husband, daughter, and parents. Though restless, Dav still loves the farm and his family, and holds on to them as an important touchstone in his life. He was raised to be friendly and polite, and also thinks of himself as very loyal to his superiors. Dav is naturally a joker and a peacemaker, trying to make others laugh and feel good.

Education

:

Daystrom University, Trill Campus - Majored in science with an emphasis on social science and ancient cultures. Minored in Linguistics. Interned with the Daystrom Institute's Archaeological Division, with the field team studying Iotia, and later with Emerging Cultures studies. Starfleet Academy - Continued his studies in a broader range of science to become a valuable science officer. Minored in Communications.

Pre-Starfleet History

:

Dreaming of life beyond the farm, Dav left home to live in Llanfarr, but quickly wanted more. He went around the globe to begin university studies, which gave him opportunities for off-world travel. He had long considered joining Starfleet, but life took him in other directions. Then he lost a loved one in the line of duty to Starfleet, and he could no longer deny what he felt was a call to serve. He entered the Academy with his sights on a career in Starfleet service.

Other Information
Hobbies :

Being active is ingrained in him from his early farming years, but also enjoys the relaxation of sitting around, which sometimes still seems like a novelty. Whether doing something athletic on the holodeck or just hanging out, he likes to spend time with other people. Also enjoys linguistic puzzles, and spends some of his free time learning new languages, even if that is technically work.

General Notes

:

Dav once belonged to a band on Trill called The Arnmeres. He was the drummer.

Awards :

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
