Alsoars was born in Jaleyi, on the coast of the Voroth Sea. His family was a long line of healers, and philosphers. His father was a doctor and his mother was a priestess.

Education

Alosar was educated on Vulcan, and amost exclsively by the Vulcan Science Council. Before entering Starfleet it was believed that Alsoar was headed for a career on the Vulcan Ministry. However, he found the politics to be illogical, and prefered to study medicine.

Pre-Starfleet History

Early in his studies Alosar met his first human. A Starfleet officer by the name of Jason Braithweit. It was his introduction to the world of human emotions. He found the topic fascinating and devoted a great deal of his studies to the area. It became his belief that emotions were much like some kind of genetic defect that those who suffered from were forced to deal with them. And that they had to accept the fact that there was no cure to emotions. It was then that he decided to devote his studies to helping others with emotions learn how to deal with them. Braithweit planted the seed of joining Starfeet into Alosars head. It festered there for many years. It wasn't until his family asked him to make the choice to vie for a seat in the Ministry that Alsoar responded by leaving Vulcan for Starfleet. Needless to say, his family did not approve.

Starfleet History

Once Alosar completed his studies at the academy, which he did in 3 years, just to get out early and get on with the work he wanted... finding a cure for emotions, he became a counselor for the academy, screening applicants. This work was tedious and since he spent a great deal of time dealing with adolescents, who were not, in any culture, emotionally stable, he opted to take a position on a starship.
