Depending on how she styles it, it can be anything from dead straight, to almost curly. She has a rather round face, blushes easily, and an almost sad look about her, although that is more from her mouth which is slightly downturned at the corners, than from her actual demeanor. Average height for a human female, slightly stocky, with largish hands and feet. (she considers them 'man hands' but to the outside observer, they are normal.
History, Education and Skills
Family and Background :

Georgia is the only child of Craig and Unka. Her father is a ship designer, who spends much of his time away from the family home. Her mother is a "professional" volunteer, who is always off on some crusade or another, trying to right the wrongs of the world. As a result Georgia spent much of her early life being cared for by a nanny. She grew up to be an independant child, who knew how to keep herself amused, and now finds family gatherings uncomfortable. Throughout her late teens, she did her best to try to reconnect with her parents, spending as much time with them as their careers would allow, but found herself relating to them almost as if they were mere acquaintances, and not her own flesh and blood. It was her parents encouragement that led her to apply for Starfleet, and initially she saw it as a bond to bring them closer together. Lately however, she has begun to wonder if it was in fact a way for them to remove her from their lives so they could continue on without her.

Education

:

Secondary Schooling by Correspondence Starfleet Academy

Pre-Starfleet History

:

Did most of her secondary schooling by correspondence. Was a pretty average pupil who did just enough to pass, but never really extended herself. Initially she had no idea of what direction she wanted to take career-wise, and this may have compounded her apathy toward her education. After finishing her secondary schooling, she took a year off to do some volunteer work at a refugee camp her mother was stationed at, and it was here that her medical interest began. After much encouraging by her parents, she reluctantly applied for Starfleet Academy, convinced however that she wasn't nearly intelligent enough to get accepted. It came as a huge shock to her when she was. In 2402 she entered Starfleet to study Medicine. She has majored in Xenobiology, with a minor in Counselling. She has struggled academically, managing to just keep herself above the midway cutoff point, but has been determined not to fail. Failed her phaser training twice, (the first time she shot her instructor in the leg!) before finally passing, but she is still by no means comfortable with handling one. Tends to handle it gingerly as if it's a bomb waiting to go off.

Other Information
Hobbies :

Georgia likes to read, and can most often be found tucked up somewhere with her nose in a book. She spends alot of time on her own, usually in her quarters, but sometimes will make herself be more sociable. Has a soft spot for animals, and enjoys creating holodeck programs where she can interact with them (and spend more time on her own!) Although she doesn't enjoy it, she does try to do some form of exercise daily, just to keep her fitness levels up. She enjoys listening to music, particularly saxophone and pan flute tunes from the 20th century.

General Notes

:

Georgia tends to be quite critical toward herself and finds it hard to accept compliments, especially if she thinks she doesn't deserve them. Tends to keep people at a distance for the most part. Is the type of person who, when she does make a friend, would rather have one really good friend than several good one's. She craves friendship, but finds herself reluctant to open herself up to it for fear of being hurt. While she was attending Starfleet Academy she fell madly in love with a fellow cadet, who returned her feelings. However because she has such low self confidence, she was convinced she wasn't good enough for him and rather than have him eventually realise this she did her best to drive him away. Unfortunately by the time she had realised her mistake they had both graduated and she had no way of finding out where he was and possibly repairing some of the damage. It is something that still bothers hers, almost to the point of being an obsession.

Awards :

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
