History, Education and Skills |
Family and Background |
: |
Zachary's parents were both Scientists at Harvard University, which is where he gets his skill at science from. From the time he was ten he was attending functions with his parents at Harvard. Though not a genius, he is exceptionally bright in regards to science and engineering and took to 'inventing' things to show his parents and to show at science fairs. As his schooling was sometimes to slow to please him, he took to tearing apart items to learn how they worked and applying that knowledge to what he wanted to build. As the years went on, he kept up that style of learning and became adept at tearing apart other peoples creations to learn how they worked, or to improve upon them. It got him in trouble a few times, but on the whole it helped him through college and Starfleet Academy.

Education |
: |
Standard Education : Two years at Harvard on an Applied Subspace Theory Major : Transferred to Starfleet Academy with a Major in Subspace Mechanics and a minor in Engineering. |
Pre-Starfleet History |
: |
Zach was always learning. He nearly split his time in learning to build new things, and between the stars. His room was always a mess with PADDS and books on the two subjects. When it came time for college at age 16, he attended his parents Alma-mater and took a Major in Applied Subspace theory. After two years he decided that the only place he could use his knowledge of Subspace theory AND his abilities at step-down engineering and science was Starfleet, so he applied and was accepted with the current year class.

Starfleet History |
: |
2387.05.05: Graduated Starfleet Academy at age 22 with honors.
2387.06.10: Due to his unique skills at Reverse engineering/science,
he is assigned to Starfleet Science to study Alien Technology. He takes a
personal interest in old T'kon gateway technology, and forevermore holds an
interest in all T'kon technology as a hobby.
2392.10.15: Requests assignment on-board any outgoing vessel so he
might refresh his interest in Subspace Physics and study multi-singularity
phenomena at close hand. Assigned to the USS Brevity in the Gamma Quadrant as
ACSO and promoted to Ensign (sg)
2393.02.04: Promoted to Lt(jg) and made CSO of the Brevity.
2399.11.25: Assigned to the USS Pandean as CSO, after she discovered
an abandoned city from a civilization that appeared to be far advanced of
current Federation Technology.
2400.05.13: Assigned as head of the Research team to the abandoned
city of the 'Ichon Civilization' when the Pandean is reassigned elsewhere.
2405.05.05: Assigned to Cochrane Research Facility at
Starfleet's takeover to study the science and engineering of the equipment on
the T'kon outpost, as per his skills at Reverse Science/Engineering and his
personal interest in T'kon technology.
2405.08.01: Takes the position of CSO on CRF.
2405.08.30: Is transferred to the USS Nimitz as CSO
2406.03.01: The Nimitz undertakes a secret mission to a lost T'Kon
civilization. During this trip, filled with danger for the crew because
of the nature of the group directing the mission, Zach makes it clear to
the Captain and select few others that he once was part of the
Engineering group that is now running the Nimitz's mission. He had rose
as high as Captain, and had powers unprecedented in a typical Starfleet
group. He had left at great personal danger, his entire career history
had been changed, and he had started from scratch as a Lt(jg). His
knowledge of the Black Projects, Admiral Doenitz and the Program helped
keep them alive. Although, its now known that he is far more then he
appears to be, and that there is good reason he is being watched. (See
Notes)

Medical History |
: |
He had had one broken bone in his life, from a fall on Castra IV while he was examining some natural formations of Rubidium. |
Skills |
: |
Step-back Engineering/Science (AKA Reverse Engineering, The ability to tear something apart, and learn how it works and how to apply it. Especially with advanced/alien technology). Applied Subspace Theory, Klingon Martial Arts: Applied Subspace Theory, multi-singularity time/space probability equations.

Other Information |
Hobbies |
: |
Practicing Klingon Martial arts after being interested in it on Earth (it teaches one to use size and strength to an advantage).
Collects Andorian Glow Crystals, and antique sunglasses.

General Notes |
: |
That Zach is eccentric doesn't really need to be said. When he is in his element, thinking hard, he will pull a 'Stevie Wonder' and swing his head back and forth with his eyes closed while singing (off tune and badly). He always wears a pair of sunglasses, though most of his CO's have learned to give him at least that as lee-way, as he seems to think better with them on. The only time he will take them off is if he is engaged in delicate experiments where his head needs to be free of distraction.
His entire Starfleet Career has been highly edited, with some things being made up entirely and others being cut out in the interest of Federation Security. He once rose as high as Captain in a Reverse Engineering group dedicated to finding and applying advanced technologies for the use of Admiral Doenitz and his secretive group. He had sweeping powers over his crews, including that of life and death. He left at great personal sacrifice, the lives of his Son and Wife, and has since been watched very carefull by agents of Admiral Doenitz. |
Awards |
: |
Awarded Combat Action Ribbon: For facing the enemy forces at Earth to destroy Doenitz's time portals on Stardate 2407.02.07

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
