Mission: The Tholian Brief

Day:1

Stardate: 2446.09.10

(Starbase Freedom - Level 23 - Guest Quarters - CMO Commander Quinna Solice
- 1350)

Quinna held tight to Michael once he had done all his scans in securing the
room.

“I really wish you hadn’t come,” Michael said, anguish in his voice.  “But
now that you have, I’m glad you’re here.”

“So are you ready to tell me what this is about?  I am willing to be you
being in an explosion is not just being at the wrong place at the wrong
time.”

As Michael was explaining things, Quinna moved to sit on the table in front
of him.  She sucked un the lower left side of her lip as she concentrated
on what he was telling her,

“I’ve been following the trail of this file through the line of dead
bodies, which is rather extensive, and interesting in who they were. The
last was a criminal type on Deep Space 4. The bad news was that I believe
that I have been compromised. I tried hard to keep you out of it and safe.
But now you’re here… and now you’re in danger.”


At this point, Quinna could not believe what she was hearing.  She wanted
to protest but now was not the time.  “I came because of you.  Being in the
state you were in, you were vulnerable and I knew you needed protection.
You have to realize, you cannot do this alone anymore.  This has gotten too
big and out of control.  And now that I am here, let’s end this.  I am not
leaving now.”  Yeah, Quinna told Trei that this was not a clandestine
mission, but this was certainly something that could turn into one.  “So I
think you should completely read me into everything.”  Quinna paused, “and
leave nothing out.”

Quinna was firm and wanted in on everything now.  She wondered if Michael
really knew how intent she was in helping him clear his name.  “You said
you think you have been compromised, any suspects there?
