ILLUMINARRPG: (1-1335) ASC - Lt. Andy Taylor

Mission:  The Tholian Brief

Day: 1

Stardate: 2446.09.04

(Starbase Freedom - Level 14 Promenade - ASC - Lt. Andy Taylor - 1335)

Taylor led the way through the Promenade levels of the station. He had to
admit that he was impressed. It did look like a station built for people to
live on rather than a military installation. He’d seen all manners of
beings, including a Horta that seemed to be meandering through the area
making a noise that sounded a little like harmonics and music.

But he was focused on his target of getting to the areas of the explosion.
It wasn’t hard to miss. Although it seemed to have been repaired it was
still cordoned off with warning beacons. He looked at Trei and smiled.

“Look like you belong here,” he suggested.

The good news was that nobody seemed to be paying attention to the area.
How quickly people became desensitized to an area of trauma. As they
crossed the warning beacon line Andy pulled out his tricorder and began to
scan.

Even though the walls and deck plating had been cleaned and sanitized, they
had not been replaced, which meant that the residual energy signature from
the explosion was still evident.  He began to focus his sweep on the deck
plating and taking a full range of spectral analyses of the area as he
crossed into restricted area

He was interrupted by a voice coming from behind him.  “Can I help you two,
you seem to be a bit lost.  You are about to enter a closed section of the
station.”

Taylor nodded at the station’s security officer, “Not lost. Just
interested.”

“Well, you did cross a couple of warning beacons back there a few meters.
I cannot allow you to proceed any further.”  Lyle insisted.

“I am sorry,” Andy said, in his usual southern disarming southern drawl.
“I’m Lt. Andy Taylor and this is Lt. Ariel Trei. We’re from the Illuminar
and we’re just curious about the area that the bomb blew up a couple of
days ago.  I have a particular set of skills I’ve acquired over the years
and I thought that perhaps we might be of service.”

“I will be happy to take you to meet the Chief of Security and you can take
it up with him.” Lyle stated.

He looked over at Trei knowing that she was going to get her wish to go to
the security center of the station.

“That would be great, wouldn’t it Ariel?” Andy said, hiding his hopes of
getting more done before before they had to go this path.

(reply Trei)

“Lead on Lieutenant, lead on,” Andy said gregariously.
