Mission: To Have or Have Not
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.09.10

(Vulcan - Capitol City - Illuminar CO - Captain Sekal - 1540)

"Please proceed to the main concourse."

He was not in uniform today, the colors of red and black did not grace his
long and lithe form, instead his garments ranged from a dull yellow to deep
umber. Sekal's boots were the sole exception, being black and highly
polished so that the upper instep gleamed as it peeked out from below his
loose trouser cuff.

He inclined his head to the other vulcan as he passed, the bag in his right
hand was so colored like a stone from the planet's dry wastes that he could
probably have set it beside one similar in size and later had issue finding
it.

The crowd moving in opposing directions through the starport concourse
currently wasn't dense and it wasn't loud save in a few small knots, most
of the travelers were vulcans and when they spoke it was with lowered
voices. Not so with the humans, occasional Orion and rare K'zin. The colors
here however were riotous as off worlders arrived or departed.

Sekal had no bodyguard or traveling companion, his ship was not here, his
command officers on ship business and XO in command of another vessel. He
was not here on official business nor did he have plans or orders to visit
the StarFleet office here, no it wasn't that but it WAS a personal reason.
It was leave to be exact. Yes, leave. Not something his people normally
indulged in it is true but he had good reason for it.

His betrothed whom he had not seen in over a decade awaited him. It was not
the time of Pon Farr, the mating, no, it was time to do something he had
not had chance to do.

Greet his chosen and future mate. Test the bond before the time of Plak
Tow; before it was needed and spend some short time with her. This wasn't a
booty call as a human might snicker. No, it was something far deeper for
one day their nature would send them careening toward one another wildly
and it was necessary to be prepared.

This was not the usual vulcan way it is true but he was in some ways a most
unusual vulcan.
