Mission:  The Ring of the Rephaim

Day: 3

Stardate: 2446.09.01


(USS Magellan - Passenger Deck - 2O/CSec/Tac - Lt. Commander T’Mur - 1015)


“Lt. Commander,” Corday called from the flight deck, “weare on approach to the landing zone.  Touch down in two minutes.  I found a nice little spot that seems centrally located to the buildings.”


T’Mur nodded and stood up, “Thank you, Lt. Corday.  Alright everyone, get ready.”  She looked at the marine CO.  “Lt. Temerity, you are first off.  Create a perimeter and defend it.  Nothing gets in.”

“Mr. Hammons, you and your team are in charge of the internal security,” she said.  “You are next off.  Make sure that nobody… steps on something they shouldn’t.”


(reply Hammons, and security)


She then turned to the engineers.  “Ensign. MacGuyver, Ensign. Shaw, I want to get into one of those buildings.  Let’s see if we can’t gain access.  Once a door opens, though, I want security to go in first; whether it’s myself or one of them.”  She pointed to the security team.  “Undoubteddly they may need a bit of repair.”

“Doctor Honeycutt,” she turned to the MO, “I want you to keep a constant monitoring of the teams life signs.  If there is any change, no matter how small, I want to know about it.

“I also want soil samples,” she turned to Winters.  “We need to know if there has ever been any vegetation life on this asteroid.  I also want you to stay as close to the security team as possible, Ms. Winters.”

The ship lurched a little as it settled on the ground, causing the Vulcan to brace herself.  She put on her helmet and checked that everyone else had followed suit.  Once satisfied she hit the panel to open the door.


“Let’s move.”


As the crew piled off the shuttle “Snoopy” grumbled to himself, “I guess I’ll just stay with the shuttle and hope nothing horrible will get me.”
