(USS IO -- Passenger Compartment- SecO, Lieutenant Galk-- 1143)

It didn't take long for Commander Solice to take charge.

“Welcome aboard the USS IO.  We are going to be going to the ringworld.
Ms. Piripi, have you completed your checklist?”

(Reply Piripi)

“Ok, when you get the call clear then you are go for launch.”  Quinna
looked around at the rest. "Thank you for being here. We have the rare
opportunity to explore such a world.  I have a million questions myself.  I
have chosen you here for your talents that will be needed when exploring
this unique planet.”

Galk gave a slight shrug at the statement, the exploration part didn't
really apply to him except in terms of protection, that was the duty of his
department, and as a warrior? It was his honor to accompany the Commander
and others in case battle most glorious should ensue. Would they find such
on the structure? There was no way to know yet. Whole the support for life
was there, had higher forms of life survived?

Dr. Solice then began issuing instructions to the others, ending with.

“Everyone, have a seat and sit tight.”

He was already seated. "Security is ready Commander."
