NRPG (ARRRGHHH! Wrong ship!)
NRPG: Apologies for the long silence. My wife's been down with Covid for
a bit more than a week and I've been trying to fill both roles in the
family. I've expanded my cooking skills without poisoning anyone (yet!).
But, I haven't found much time to sit down and write for this game. She's
almost back to full health. I'll try to catch up with everyone else.
Mission: Soliloquy
Day: 6
Stardate: 2446.07.10
(USS Raptor - Deck 3 - Officer's Quarters - CEO Lieutenant Jg Tegian Pex -
0630)
Tegian had left the sickbay and headed to his quarters to shower, eat and
then sleep. While sleeping he had listened to the computer read the
schematics of the model of Ensign Piripi's VISOR, trying to understand
where he'd gone wrong.

When he'd woken, he realized that it was more of a limitation of her VISOR,
then anything he'd done. But that if he'd known how it worked, he could've
mitigated the effects on her. In his mind, he could see the schematics and
a new design began to form. Something that would ever prevent any outside
energy from overwhelming her implants. He also realized he could expand
the range and sensitivity of the spectrum she could see as well as the
distance. But, he'd need to figure out how to require less energy from her
body for that. A problem to mull over with Lt. Bohb, if the Ensign was at
all interested.
He spent the remainder of the day, checking in with his staff, catching up
with paperwork, and in those free moments, mapping out how to learn more
about the Ensign's implants. Pex had been a host to a doctor at one
point. A brilliant surgeon. Sure, Pex knew nothing of human physiology,
but Trill and Humans weren't that different and once Tegian tapped into all
of Pex's knowledge, he found that he could rapidly learn about human
physiology. He'd never be the equal of any of the doctors he'd met, but he
at least could grasp how everything was connected.

He found that his earlier nap wasn't quite sufficient to correct the
shuttle ordeal and had headed back to his quarters for a night's sleep.
Just before turning out the lights, he instructed the computer to read
Ensign Piripi's implant specifications.
