ILLUMINARRPG: (9 - 1118) CMO Commander Quinna Solice

Mission:  Soliloquy

Day: 9

Stardate: 2446.07.13



(USS Illuminar – Deck 5 – Sickbay – CMO Commander Quinna Solice – 1118)



Torek watched the doctor, “I may not be a medical professional,” he began,
“but can you please explain to me your process?  In the various physicals I
have had for Star Fleet, not one used a needle of any things.  Or is this a
challenge designed to haze the new Officers on the ship?”



“Well, I thought that maybe taking a brain scraping would add some adequate
information to your profile.  Just going to insert the needle through your
nasal cavity and get some brain matter.”  Quinna looked as serious as a
Klingong protecting a barrel of bloodwine.



“vaj chovbus’a’?” Quinna asked him in Klingon if he was ready



The half-Klingon cocked his head to the side, “My dear Doctor, pray tell do
you always speak Klingon to those who look like me?  Do you assume that we
all speak Klingon?” he asked seriously.



Quinna gave him a ‘you have to be kidding’ look.


He waited a beat before tipping his head back and releasing a loud
belly-laugh.  “jl’elrp. Dah lghchoH ‘ej ram vIneH.”



“I like your spirit, Torek”  Quinna put the needle down, “I have been
working on my scare on new recruits, What do you think?

Quinna pulled out a medical tricorder and started taking the basic tests
and getting baselines after his initial assignment.  “Anything I need to
know about your medical history?  Any surprises that you need to report?”

Quinna then put her fingers on Torek’s neck feeling his glands.  Nothing
out of the ordinary.  She made a thorough exam to have him turn his head
and cough.  She did conduct herself professionally throughout the exam.  He
was fit for duty.  “You are all clear medically for duty.”

Quinna signed off on the PADD and handed it to him.  “You are free to go.”
