ILLUMINARRPG: (7 - 1607) ACEO Ensign Ssvresh

(USS Illuminar – Holodeck 1 – ACEO Ensign Ssvresh – 1607)

By and large Ssvresh’s period of confinement had passed without incident.  The others in isolation amused themselves to varying degrees, and they each took care around their crewmates suffering the worse effects from their shared situation.  Ssvresh had had a few conversations with some of the others, including his immediate superior, Lieutenant Pex, and had shared in a couple of sessions of physical activity, preferring yoga-like actions to some of the more vigorous options being pursued.

In common with many people in the isolation ward, Ssvresh had no medical knowledge to offer.  Some of his colleagues had sought to compensate this by volunteering their services as companions for the sick and help for the medical personnel – though Ssvresh was not sure to what extent this was genuinely helpful rather than being merely tolerated as a way to keep patients’ minds active.

Typically the isolation facility had been quiet, either by design or by some unspoken agreement to show their predicament hushed respect.  Right now there was a definite sense of heightened activity somewhere a short distance away.  Indistinct voices carrying a little further than usual, sufficient to draw Ssvresh to a sitting position and cause him to look for the cause.

Walking over to a group of people, Ssvresh caught one by the arm.  “What is it?  What has happened?”
