(USS Illuminar - Deck 1 - Bridge -   science officer (botanist) -   Ensign
Celiste Winters & FO Commander Sienna Verin  - 1232)


Celiste found that the instructions that Commander Verin was giving were...
confusing.  Or perhaps untoward. "Commander, do you want me to put the
beacon where the Ixtal was? There might be issues with the debris field. I
recommend that we wait until tomorrow to let that field disperse."


Celiste watched the Commander intently.  She could almost feel the
Commander's surprise, but  it was like the Commander believed that the
Ixtal had not been destroyed.  Sienna began to blink her eyes quickly, as
if trying to clear something from her eye.  Her voice seemed surprised as
she replied to her very junior science officer. "Yes, Of course Ensign."
She looked around the Bridge for a  moment, "Ensign Winters, take the
command chair. I will be in holodeck 1 and then Sickbay if you need me."


Celiste watched the First Officer hurry with a quickened pace towards the
turbolift.  She didn't miss the way that Sienna sagged against the wall as
the doors swiftly shut.  Calling a relief officer to the bridge to take the
science station, Celiste walked towards the command chair and eyed it
consideringly.  That thing had been her Mother's making and her
destruction.  But she felt a little thrill through her as she took the seat
and it seemed to mold to her. Her hands touched the armrests and her
fingers curled around it.  She was in command of a starship. It was a
defining moment for the young mixed betazoid.  She wanted to be more than
just the botanist aboard the Illuminar.  She wanted to be a Captain too one
day. She truly was her Mother's daughter.
