(USS Hillary - ACSO Ensign jg Zara Khatri - 1201)

The Hillary was on its way back to the Illuminar.  In only a few, short hours, much had happened and all of it was bad.  The team had found the missing Tellarites and the bodies were in a condition Zara was glad she didn't see.  What caused their deaths was unknown.  The decision was made to leave, but nothing had been done regarding the orichalcum mineral.

Zara chose to melt into the background and see how things played out.  Doctor Solice had already made it clear her opinions weren't needed and after witnessing the verbal thrashing the CMO gave Pex, being a wallflower was Zara's best option.  She decided to check on Ensign Yevan zh'Firre.

"How are you feeling, Yevan?"

The Andorian engineer was resting in the lounge section of the runabout, though clearly unhappy about it.  Glaring at Zara, she pointed to her right ear.

"Sorry," said Zara.  She did a quick medical scan.  "Your temp has leveled off."  This time she spoke louder.

"Oh, joy," said Yevan.

"Have you developed more symptoms?"

"I can't smell you and your uniform is a duller shade of blue."

Zara wondered how she smelled to an Andorian.  "Are you hungry?  Did you try eating something?"

"Starfleet rations?  I'd rather eat yellow snow."

The situation was potentually serious, but Zara couldn't help giggling at that.

"We'll be back on board the Illuminar soon and I'm certain the medical staff will figure out what's happening.  I'll make sure I come see you."

"Come see me?" said Yevan.  "You'll be right next to me in isolation."

Zara frowned.  She hadn't considered that.  Just because she wasn't displaying symptoms, didn't mean she wasn't exposed.  The entire away team would be quarantined.

"Then I guess we'll be getting to know each other better," said Zara with a sigh.  "Have you ever played Tetris?"
