ILLUMINARRPG: (4, 1118) ACEO Ensign Ssvresh

Mission: Exogenesis
Day 4
Stardate: 2446.06.04

(Ixtal – Engine Room – ACEO Ensign Ssvresh – 1118)

=^=Prioritize thrusters and the impulse engines. Once we have control we will maneuver to a higher orbit and out of the ionic interference.=^=

Ssvresh nodded and stepped across to access the engineering feed on the sublight propulsion systems as the Captain continued giving orders: =^=The warp drive engine is of secondary concern. Continue as you are and notify me when the thrusters and impulse drive are available. I require a full diagnostic on the warp drive before we begin drawing power from it.=^=

"Sublight first, and a full warp dianostic, aye.”

As the channel closed, Ssvresh turned to his team mate, "Could you give me a hand removing this access plate?"



"Sure."



Tuning his tricorder to interface with the ship’s engine feeds, Ssvresh watched as the security officer unscrewed the bolts.  The last bolt strained but eventually gave way and as the access plate crashed to the deck it was followed by a humanoid body.



“This Tellarite has been dead for some time.”  Doing his best to push the body from his mind and focus on his task, Ssvresh reached into the access hatch and began to trace the ODN relays feeding the main thruster assembly.



As he entered the hatch, leaving the security officer behind with the dead Tellarite, Ssvresh began to draw together a picture of the main thruster arrangements.  Unfortunately the main thrusters had been severed from the ship’s computer – possibly the last act of the individual now gracing the engine room floor.  The Selay Ensign began tracking back to the hatch, readying to tap his commbadge when it alerted him to an incoming message:


=^=All personnel evacuate to the shuttle immediately.=^=

Standing up again In the main engine room, Ssvresh looked at the security officer, who had just had the same message.  “Looks like the impulse manifold will have to wait.  Let’s get back to the shuttle.”
