(USS Pasteur - Flight Deck - 3XO/CMO Commander Quinna Solice -- 0902)


Quinna sat on the flight deck as she was waiting for them to take off.  She
paid close attention to the communications around her.  The sooner they
were back on the ship, the sooner Quinna could find some answers.  All her
samples did not show anything that would cause the away team to get sick.


“Dr. Solace, we are not going to be able to leave the planet right now,” he
reported.


“The Ion Storm?”  She asked.


“The ion field has increased,” he said.  “In some ways, it’s like a real
storm.  It has ebbs and flows.  Right now we are at a pinnacle.  If we try
to get through that right now it will destroy the shuttle.  The Hilary
won’t fare any better.  For better of worse, we’re grounded.  Where would
you like me to put her down?”


Quinna turned at looked out the front.  “Is there a better place to shield
us from the storm?”  She asked.

“Alright, I want us with Hillary.  I want to link the shuttles so we can
have access to both ships and I can assess those that are sick on the
Hillary.”   Quinna looked into Arthur’s eyes.  “Are you sure you can do
this?”  she did not doubt his ability, just his current physical state.

“Alright, Let's get everyone safe,”  Quinna ordered.
