Mission: for Honor

Day: 5

Stardate: 2446.04.29

(Qo’nos - Diplomatic Quarters - CSec/Tac Lt Commander T’Mur - 0904)

The sudden arrival of the new CSO and her manner of arrival was a bit of a surprise. T’Mur prided herself in having considered every permutation of actions that could possibly occur and that one had not hit her list of probabilities. Clearly she was going to have to reconsider Lanista’s possible activities from now on.

Ambassador McKenzie was the first to react, though, and quite emotionally. He insisted that Lanist go back the way she came and come in by the manner that had been proscribed to her by Sekal. T’Mur did not really have the patience for the, how would Sienna have described it, ah yes, the wild card type.McKenzie had the tight idea. The last thing they needed was to have an incident at this point.

Before leaving the CSO handed Sekal a PADD. "The data resulting from analysis of the explosion's residue are on this device. They were … unexpected. I was in the middle of running the tests again when you called me down here. You can share it, of course, to T'Mur and Bohb if you wish. There is a transmission protocol enabled on the PADD."

Sekal, almost absent mindedly, handed the device to T’Mur, who turned and began to scroll through the data. When she arrived at the part that showed the chemical complosition of the residue, she noted the crystalline composit of the residue and raised an eyebrow. The she saw the conclusion of the origin of the residue and her other eyebrow raised as well. It was most unexpected.

She brought the PADD back to Sekal and handed it back to him. The conclusions of Lanista were well thought out, and as far as T’Mur could tell, quite aqurate. However, she was no scientist, but Captain Sekal was.

“Sir,” she said, getting his attention, “you want to look at this. If Lt. Lanista’s conclusions are correct, which I will assume at this point they are, then there is only one logical conclusion. We have uninvited guests, or at least, uninvited by us. In my opinion, there appears to be some collaboration between some faction of the Klingon government and…,” she pointed to the final conclusion.

“This is something that you should look at Captain,” she insisted.

“I am especially intrigued by the fact that the residue shows signs of a compound only found in the Tholian Assembly,” she pointed out. “What is such a volatile substance doing in this part of the quadrant?”
