Mission: Prelude

Day: 2

Stardate: 2446.03.23

(Earth - Hamptons - Shadow Pines - Music Room - SFI - Lt Michael Weston - 0712)

Michael listened to Dyson's story, but he still felt there was something missing, but he wasn't sure what. If he wanted to put Michael off from investigating he didn't really know the SFI operative very well. Now he was going to dig, and going to dig deep. In order to undistort an image, it takes a lot of background.

“That and I simply don’t like talking about personal stuff, it’s a reflex. One that I think you and I share.”

What an odd comment. ~You don't know me.~ "What makes you think that you and I have anything in common? You have no idea what I am, or what I've done."

Then Dyson asked if Michael ever saw any World War Two movies. He was comparing himself to grumpy veterans who lost friends in war. Perhaps living in an orphanage is kind of like a war. Michael had no frame of reference on that. He was willing to give that to him. He did have an understanding of that feeling.

“Except, of course the Rabbi” Dyson said looking at the violin. “The rabbi was always there. And he knew it. That’s another reason why he left me this, I think.”

Michael nodded, "Well that makes sense, I guess."

He followed the pilots eyes and it fell on the violin as well. "Well from what I can tell, he made a good choice. Perhaps after you practice a while you can play for the crew. Apparently they have talent night at the Prancing Pony periodically."

He turned and headed for the door. "I'll see you later."

At that he left the room, making a mental note to do a deep dive into Alex Dyson.
