ILLUMINARRPG: (5 - 2217) ACONN Alexander Dyson

(USS Illuminar - Dyson's Quarters - ACONN Alexander Dyson - 2207)
Alex's efforts to fix the replicator had failed. So he had called Engineering, who had send somebody to take a look. Fortunately, his work had not been in vain. Because he had ruled all out the obvious problems, what could have been a four-hour hunt, had been limited to a ten minute search. And ten minutes after that, the engineer had packed up his tools and walked away from a fully functional unit.
Once all the repair efforts had been properly logged, the two of them had called it a day and celebrated with a drink from said replicator. Then Alex had headed home to check his messages and get some sleep. It was there that he found a small surprise.
Two days ago, he had send out a message about his file. And now he had gotten a reply that it had been fixed. Apparently, somebody had forgotten to flick a switch they REALLY should have flicked before starting a diagnostic on a section of the computer core. This had messed up a tons of files, including Alex's. But using back-ups, they had all been fixed.
He forwarded the message to Lieutenant Weston and record a quick note. 

"Hi, Lieutenant. Just a quick heads up to let you know that my paperwork issues have been fixed. If you have any questions, you know where I life. Ensign Alexander Dyson. PS, I bought you a present on Mars. Its waiting for you outside your quarters."
He had used a pair of stick-on hooks on the bulkhead next to the door. They would come off easily, but were strong enough to hold themselves and the guitar Alex had hung off them in place. It was a simply, wooden, acoustic model with a paper note that simply said: For Mike.
Checking the rest of his message, he found nothing that he needed to act on. So he got ready and went to bed. He had another double shifter waiting for him tomorrow.
