Vermyx had altered his communication device to sound more like the ringing
of an Iotian "blower."

"Go ahead, you…" said Vermyx into his wrist communicator with a slight
shrug. He didn't recognize the voice and the person hadn't identified
themself.

=^=I need an engineer in Science Lab 2. Turns out the eggheads might have
been cooking up some hootch in their lair. I don’t know Jack about all the
sciency stuff, so can you help a brother out here ? Because if I don’t send
this up the chain, the bigwigs will have my hide.=^=

"Science Lab 2, huh? Yeah, eggheads like to think they're Engineers. Suits
me. I like to think of Engineering is Applied Sciences. So they got
themselves their own little barrel-house on this flivver. Who knew? Yeah,
I'll be there in two shakes."

(USS Illuminar — SCI Lab II — ACEO — ENS/JG Vermyx — 1114)

Dano "the Kronk" Vermyx strode into the "lair of the eggheads" like he
belonged there, saying, "'F'there's anythin' I know how t'do, it's settin'
up a proper swill-tank. We'll have whatever half-cocked rig they got here
crankin' out quality giggle juice in no time. Don't you worry — whoever you
are — we'll get these bigwigs y'r so fretted about properly Spifflicated!"

Vermyx looked around for whoever might have summoned him there.
