(Earth - Shadow Pines- Hamptons  - COUNS Alaya Hammons - 1820)


After Leeza's drama on arrival, and Steven dealing firmly with the
behaviour, they had arrived at their suite.  Steven was talking about
taking Leeza out to the swimming pool, but Alaya needed some alone time.
"I need to take a walk, through the gardens. I'm looking forward to
exploring."

After reassuring Steven that she would be fine, and placing her hand on his
hand, smiling up at him. Steven would notice that the smile did not reach
her eyes.

Changing quickly into hiking boots, sturdy jeans and a comfortable tank top
Alaya headed out into the gardens.  Walking quickly util she was out of
sight, and at least a mile away from the house, Alaya moved of the path and
settled in, her back against a tree. Closing her eyes, she shielded Steven
from her emotions, and let the last several weeks that she had been
repressing out. The fear, the anger, the worry, the hurt. It all came out,
and Alaya found herself having moved further down the path, a large stick
in her hand.  She began to smack her stick against a tree, letting the rage
out on the tree, the fear having turned to anger and then to rage.

Finally the emotions ran out, and Alaya turned to  begin the long walk back
to the estate, intending a bath in her near future, before dinner. She was
hot, tired and sweaty.  The sunk-in tub was calling her name loudly.
Betazoids were sensualists.
